Too expensive. They towed my car and charged me 400 Today for storing my car in their store for few hours. What enrages the most is that they only receive cash to get the car back. Who brings that much cash these days on the street? This store is extremely dishonest, scammy, and expensive. Never trust this company to fix your car at the honest price.

My family and I parked in the empty gravel lot across from University Towers.The lot had 3 cars in it as it was a Sunday. Apparently, we were required to have a permit as our vehicle was immediately towed. We had intially panicked and thought the car was stolen. We were told that we would have to pay $345 cash only. We ended up paying for a Lyft as we are from out of state and had no other way to get to the vehicle in the tow yard. The whole experience was shady. Our vehicle was the only one there and was parked behind an old abandoned looking building with the tow truck blocking it in. It didn't feel safe. They guy in a boarded up parking booth came out and grabbed the cash and moved his truck. Do better Ann Arbor and get rid of shady businesses like this. It makes me not even want to come back.

I got charged $345 to get towed less than 2 miles to their lot after parking in the UTowers dirt lot last night (which was almost empty) without a permit. At 11 pm, which was the time I returned and realized my car was gone, I called them and was told I had to bring the amount in cash and my driver's license to them before midnight or the fee would be increased by $30. I had to run there on foot since no one was available to drive me on such notice on a Saturday night. This is a case of legalized ransom and the city government should do something about it. Fining people who get towed after parking illegally is one thing but charging 5? 10? times more than the cost of towing is obscene, especially for college students who are strapped for cash already.

They are extremely rude and unprofessional. We left our car out for 15 mins and it was towed. When we tried calling, we kept getting hung up on. The fee was ridiculously expensive for such a short period. They prey on college students.

They towed my sister's car when WE WERE MOVING INTO MY APARTMENT. We brought in my first load of boxes, and came back out to get more from the far, but it was gone. The car had not even been there for 2 minutes. The apartment is in a residential area with no available street parking or other parking lots. There was no other location to park the car, and since she was just helping me move in, I obviously didn't spend $100 to buy her a parking pass for 30 minutes. Our wallets and phones were still in the car, and this company basically told us "too bad" when I borrowed a friend's phone to call them. Other companies charge $150ish for towing; these scammers charged $302 CASH ONLY. The building reeks of cigarette smoke and will easily send anyone with lung problems into a coughing fit. My inhaler was in the car & the receptionist was very uncooperative. They did not care that they towed me when I was moving into my own apartment, and showed no sympathy when I told them that I had no money to buy groceries or pay rent. These people are unethical and will stop at no cost to ruin you. I have contacted my landlords and am filing a complaint against this company.

I was given a location to pick up the car, but when I arrived nobody was there. I called back and they said someone could come in 20-30 minutes. If I am given a location for a business, I expect someone to at least be there! Very unprofessional of them to keep us waiting for 30 minutes without any notice that we would have to wait for a worker. When someone arrived they were quite helpful and kind, and it was smooth sailing from there, which made it better.

Citizens Insurance said they called you for a towing service. No one showed up for hours, and you said that you were never called. Snit, snot,

Worst towing company ever. Friend’s car got towed, said they were open 24/7, clearly weren’t. Told us to wait 20 minutes, took almost two hours for someone to come. $345 for having the car for an hour. Absolute scam, should quite literally be shut down, so so shady

This company and their towing services along with their customer service are all trash. They have no empathy, they keep you waiting, and are not flexible. They charge exorbitant fees, almost double what their next competitor charges, and you better watch out if you get towed by them. Even if you pick up your car the same day your wallet and bank account won't be happy. Also they don't accept any form of payment except cash.

The lady and gentleman I dealt with were very kind, but don't expect to get your car back for less than $300. This was the second time my car was towed from my own apartment complex because the tag was "not clearly visible". The first time it was hanging from the rear-view-mirror where it should be but was behind the blue tint at the top of my windshield. The second time it was left in the cup holder (my fault) but could be easily seen. Both times my car had been parked in the same spot for months and the tow operators recognized it yet still towed it. The high cost of towing is set by the city, however Glen Ann towing will not use any common sense or give you a break when getting your car back. Even if you have parked with your pass for months in the same spot, don't expect a break if you forget to put your pass up one day.

The tow truck operator saw me running back to my car after leaving it unattended for literally 5 minutes. He obviously hurried to block me in and set up to tow. Charged me $150 to move his truck and not tow me. This company preys on college students by using unprofessional and shady practices.

Parked to unload a car for 20 minutes. Come back to find the car gone. $300 is an insane amount of money to charge for a tow in Ann Arbor. Obviously I do not recommend, but usually you won't have a choice when dealing with this worthless company.

My friend and I had parked our car for 5 min and when we walked back to the car it was towed. When we arrived to pick you the car we called the number but they repeatedly hung up on us. Customer service extremely rude and unprofessional. We also had to pay a ridiculous towing fee.

I'm giving this place 1 star only because it doesn't give me the option of no stars. This place is the worst and a scam. They towed a friends car from the apartment complex that we live at on a Saturday because she didn't have a parking pass (I suppose it's wrong for you to have a guest at your home where you pay rent). When we go to the tow yard we have to deal with the uneducated gorilla behind the safety of his little plexi glass window, who informs us it's $300 to get the car back which they've only had for less than an hour. At the same time there was another group of people paying to get their car, which they only had to pay $180 (cash only) because it had been towed for wrongful parking somewhere near the football stadium. So, if A2 police tow your car you get a break( Gee thank you Ann Arbor), but if it's towed from your apartment complex where you pay rent, you have to pay double. After a heated discussion with Mr. Gorilla I attempt to pay for the towing with my credit card to find out that they are a CASH ONLY business! Who in this day and age takes cash only especially for large amounts is absolutely ridiculous, I'm sure that would be because they don't claim all the cash to the IRS. I go to the bank and withdraw the $300 CASH and go back again and attempt to pay Mr. Gorilla who then tells me it's $302 with a smirk on his face, I didn't have the $2.00 CASH at which point he says he can take the $2.00 from my credit card but has to charge me a $2.00 processing fee because my "purchase" is TOO LOW!!!! I was informed by the Ann Arbor police, since there was a spring football game ALL the towing companies have extra staff on hand, and they drive around to all the apartment complexes and businesses in town, that they have contracts with and purposely tow cars without permits. If you're parked illegally then you have every right to be towed....but you'd think that you'd be safe inviting friends and family to your home!

I would leave a 0 if possible. Dropped my daughter off at school parked on a patch of grass with two other cars because the street had tow signs. Unloaded for 15 minutes tops come out car towed. No phone or purse explain to guy on phone. He says $317 cash only and Uber to him. $40 in Uber because number is registered in Ypsilanti. They have a guy sitting in wait for you to park. Nice way to make a living, preying on people!

This is a classic, if I could give a negative star review I would. They are absolutely so unprofessional and have neglected my request for legal documentation of my tow. Made fun of my family, me, and my girlfriend. The tow truck driver literally was tailing me while I was walking through the apartment complex and you can imagine a tow truck tailing you while you are on foot is unprofessional. I can't even get an employee to stay on the phone for my tow documents.

Awful. They prey on visitors, college students, or anybody in Ann Arbor. They watch for you to park and then tow your vehicle in 5 minutes. They demand over $300 in cash and their atm conveniently “down”. Beware y’all, this is “legal” theft!! Watch where you park...

Towed my car from a legally parked space. Demanded $300 in cash no debit or credit cards. No manager or supervisor on site. Essentially stole my car and demanded a cash ransom Who have they bribed to stay in business.

Rude, unkind, takes only cash of $ 317 for towing + storage for 1 hour. We arrived and the person kept us waiting for 1 hour(although he told me to wait for only 10 minutes) We kept calling but never answered our phone. This place is a such a xxxx.

This place is a scam! Contacting Better Business Bureau, local news and filing civil suit! They tow random cars, hold cars for ransom, only accepts cash, and gives different amounts for getting car out. They are criminals!!!!! Disappointed in Ann Arbor police department too.

I got a flat tire on the freeway, and Brian was dispatched to tow my car back home. I was very overwhelmed, and Brian was extremely kind and helpful. I could not have had a better experience.

If you’re looking to hire a towing company for your private lot, they sure do respond quickly. -1 star because they towed my car, though. ($345, cash only)

SUPER RUDE! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I called to get a price on a tire. He tells me to hang up so he can text me the price which is thee dumbest thing ever if we are already talking. Fast forward...I drive 46mins and I'm given the run around when I call for a 4th time he talks dwn to me then hangs up on me. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! LIKE I DID...

I have never seen worse customer service!!! I called them this morning for a quote on new tires and then chose to take my car elsewhere since the Honda dealership was open sooner. They don’t have my car and yet these are the insanely rude and incompetent messages I received.

We called to pick up my car that towed and they said to come to this location to pick it up and no one was there. It was during regular business hours too. So we called again and they said it would be a 30 minute wait until they could send someone over. That’s ridiculous.

leave us outside the door ( - 5 degree) for more than 1.5 hour in midnight They told us they will arrive in 20 mins. then another 20mins. then again 20 mins. Then they just do not answer the call. When we keep calling them, they shout at us. Worst service ever seen in my life. Rude and unprofessional. I would give 0 if possible. I would like to curse them if possible.
