After years of coming here it is getting to the point of not coming back there still in pandemic protocol no servers a person is sitting behind a sheet of plexie glass. The music choices are not for everyone. Christin music is ok for your house but not for a business. And now the last couple times I've came to this restaurant my orders have not been made properly.
I’ve had this food a few times but never went in to eat before. My husband and I decided to stop in for a quick bite before a long drive. When we went to sit down we so very rudely were told to move to a different table and that’s why we needed to wait to be seated. (Mind you we didn’t see the sign and it wasn’t busy so we just sat down) then proceeded to get told multiple that we needed to order up front. We also didn’t know this which is fine but to tell us over and over again in a rude manner as the owner is not okay. Im not sure if they didn’t think we were from the area of what. The food was very good and our waitress was great. She even apologized for her bosses rude tone and behavior. We definitely will never be back inside to sit for breakfast again.
This place is adorable. When you walk through the door, April is the first person you see. She’s friendly, prompt, and easy to talk to. The place was clean and the atmosphere was friendly and casual. Our food came out within 5 minutes, it was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. So glad we stopped in, we’ll be back for absolutely sure.
Absolutely amazing restaurant. The atmosphere is once in a lifetime. April and the weight staff are absolutely wonderful. The people there are very friendly. The food is A+. A grade quality. Cooked with love. I recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for a great quality and homemade food. They also have a bakery, which is all made from scratch. The waits are very short and it’s the best breakfast spot in all of west Michigan.
We are so blessed to have this restaurant in our area! I had the country fried steak with eggs, hashbrowns, toast and gravy. Comfort food at its best! Cooked to perfection! The service was friendly, pro.pt and progessional!
The food, service, and welcoming atmosphere all won me over! First time visit there with my sister and niece and her hubby. We shared a table with a regular there, Walt, so no waiting! It was perfect and we made a new friend as well!
One of my favorite places to grab breakfast or lunch. This place has the best home-made comfort food around! Nothing else comes close. Home-made goulash or meatloaf are my favorites.
It had been too long since I had a homemade breakfast with local ingredients and an incredible experience of customer service that is top-notch and so rare today. I think Tea Pot Dome is likely the best breakfast joint in all southwestern Michigan, maybe the entire state. Moreover, the business could get rich training people in the restaurant business on how to treat customers. Rare and so delightful to experience it yesterday at breakfast!
What a GEM ! 100 plus years old and the owner, April, is just a beautiful soul! The food was great. Get off the highway and support this beautiful business.
This is a super cozy environment with a variety of teqpots., with very friendly staff, and locals.
The food is fresh, amazing and a great amount for the price..
The server was phenomenal especially since she man-ed the whole restaurant side.
This 100 year old establishment is a hidden gem about 2-3 miles off I-94. ONG what a great breakfast with country fresh eggs! Dont leave without her homemade carrot cake!
Great little spot to grab some good homemade food. We stopped this past Monday around 1030am and enjoyed a nice, late breakfast. You have to order at the counter/window but they do wait on you for drinks if you don't order something with your food choice. Prices and portions were all good. They don't have a lot of seating so you may have a short wait.
My sister and I chose this as a 1/2 way point. First time good service, good food. I had biscuit & gravy. Second time, my sis and I agreed. food dry, hash serving so tiny. We said one more try, best 2 of 3 sort of. BIG disappointment. Choice of toast. If not white or wheat, you're charged almost $1 extra . Biscuit dry and crumbly. Sausage gravy bland flour tasting. Polite staff. Moving on.
All was great... food, taste, service, and pricing. Only way it could had been better, would be if they took order at table vs. having you place order upon entering and sitting down. But inspire of this, I will return again as always.
Wonderful breakfast and lunch restaurant with lots of history. Family friendly, relatively reasonable in price, and fantastic food. It is worth the trip. Everything is homemade. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, give it a try...you will be more than satisfied.
Looking for consistently delicious food? Look no further! April always delivers! My favorite is her Ruben sandwich with potatoe salad. The corned beef is pulled, not a deli slice with her homemade potatoes salad ! Homemade without the work. I have never been disappointed!
Nice, warm, and comfortable hospitality. Felt like I had just woken up at some relatives' house on a sunny Sunday morning for a nice hot breakfast. And the coffee was strong with refills.
First time here and I was extremely happy we did stop! The food was amazing and everything was homemade.. I got the stuffed peppers; sauce which was slightly sweet (which made the meal even better), biscuits and gravy was delicious, along with the pancakes!! I wish we lived closer, but I'll definitely be back when we come back to the area!!
The food was delicious! Big portions for reasonable prices. The only weird/awkward part was our party of 6 looking at the menu and ordering before we even sat down. I didn't like that, I quick ordered because I felt so awkward standing in front of the door and missed looking at the entire menu. I would have not felt so uncomfortable if I was able to sit at a table and then order at my own pace.
The table we were sat at had not been cleaned either. The waitress brought over our drinks and silverware and set them on the dirty table, we asked for it to be cleaned, she did apologize and cleaned it right away...but around our drinks and silverware.
Absolutely love this little dinner. It has been around along time and April and her team have done a fantastic job with real homemade food. Support local business!
Great greasy spoon restaurant with cozy, eclectic hometown charm. Got breakfast and the omelette was huge! The homemade strawberry and peach jellies were delicious, especially on the homemade sourdough toast. Lots of breakfast options. Service was good and prices very reasonable. My husband and I were in and out in 30-40 min.
