Chuck's is the best place to go for any repairs needed. Phillip is amazing at explaining what needs done in a manner that is easily understood. All people there are friendly.
Pretty sure if you take your vehicle here the purposely break something else so you come back or they just don’t know how to do there job took my car there 2 times for transmission problems got it back and broke both times with in a week
My car wouldn't start one evening after I had stopped at Walmart to grab some stuff. It seemed to be the battery. Chuck came out, but because the battery had been sitting awhile, it started for him. He did not charge me. I visited the shop the next day and bought a new battery (they had what I needed in stock.)
My sister and I were traveling with our kids, returning from a family vacation. We were more than 250 miles from home when we encountered debris on I80 that blew out our tire and caused damage to the rim. Called several shops in town, but the only one who would help was Chuck: all the other shops told us they didn't carry rims. While Chuck didn't have the rim we needed on hand, he sent one of his crew the 100 miles to Grand Rapids and back to pick one up. We were back on the road later that day, and incredibly grateful. Reasonable price, but what really stood out was the kindness and friendliness of Chuck and his entire team. The kids had a great time playing with their dog, and what could have been a disastrous end to our vacation turned into a funny and memorable story that we'll always remember. It's not everyday that you run across genuine kindness, and we're so grateful that God allowed us to cross paths with Chuck. I can't recommend the shop more highly!
Expensive. Didnt tell me a price up front then took advantage after. Average price 80-100 for a tow and he charged me 250. Took 20-30 mins to drive to me and 2 mins to pull me out.
Great costumer service! I broke down last Thursday evening and gave Chuck a call and he got me right in Friday morning and had me back on the road that afternoon. Extremely fair on his prices especially with having to put me ahead of other ppl that way I could get back home to Arkansas! Gave me a truck to use during the day to explore the town and sent me to the BEST breakfast place I’ve ever ate at! I will definitely be using him and his crew again if I ever have troubles that way. Stay away. Tried to tell me engine was shot. $4000 for a used one. Took car to Vetters. It was starter coil and plugs. Less than $600. Big difference between $4000 and $600.
Last week I came into town from Kentucky. I thought I had a tire going bad. I was referred to Chuck's. Phil found it was not just one but all 4 were needed. I explained I was only there for the weekend and had to leave on Sunday. Shawn found me a set of tires, another went and got them and Phil got me back on the road safely. They, esp. Phil went out of there way to help me. Very curtious and asked if there was anything else I needed. Told a friend about them and she was also happy with them. Highly recommended.
My 2000 Ford Ranger finally wore out. Chuck, Amy, and their son went out of their way to help me get a great affordable auto. They were friendly, down to earth, and trustworthy. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for used, reliable, affordable transportation. They do great on tires and rims too.
We had our car break down due to the brake fluid leaking out. He drove out to us to tow the van to his shop. He got us taken care of quickly. Got the parts and made sure we could get on the road as quickly and safely as possible.
Chuck is amazing and down to earth. I highly recommend him he will do his best to take care of things and does it at a fair price.
These guys are great. My uhaul broke down and although uhaul wanted to make everything extremely complicated and drawn out, Chuck’s went out of their way to work directly with me. They provided a warm car for me to sit in while uhaul waited to decide what to do (for 3+ hours) and even drove me 30 minutes to pick up a new uhaul. Great team and reliable mechanics!
Coming back from Indiana last Monday,we get north of Sturgis about 15 miles,we developed engine problems.
We googled shops and found Chuck's.
I called told Shawn our situation, we limped the truck in...with minutes of arrival,the new parts were there and installed and on our way.
Turns out,Shawn had pulled a mechanic off if a Jeep he was working on.
Definitely a shop that cares about people having an emergency breakdown

Quick to come get my car after it was totalled was nice enough to give me a ride back with some of my junk.i could fit in, he met me at the front desk when I went there to retrieve the rest of my stuff helped me get my stuff out as I have some broken ribs.. he also notified me that they are full service and I think they just gained a couple new customers,.I got a pilot and a Buick LeSabre that needs some work and I know where I'm taken em!!
Only towing co in that town who responded. Going out tomorrow to see if we can do business.

Felt vibrations coming from our steering wheel while drive across the country to get home. The staff at Chuck’s dropped everything to help us and replaced our tire belt in less than 2 hours. 10/10 recommend. Staff was very welcoming and professional.
Had my vehicle towed after an accident with chuck as the police called them. After having the vehicle towed and paying 400$ cash no receipt was given, 1 month later I requested a receipt and magically they don’t have one and my car was never towed… that was until I pulled out a picture to prove that it was and they then wrote me a receipt… sketchy business that avoids taxes and will pocket your cash… STAY AWAY also the rudest people I have ever met in there, total pigstye too
The world needs more guys like Chuck and Phillip. The serpentine belt on my BMW x5 broke on interstate 90 as I was towing a u-haul trailer & moving from the east coast back to the midwest. This caused the AC, power steering, and electrical charging system to go out - I knew if I didn't pull off at the next exit, it'd only be a matter of time before my battery would die and thus the engine/spark plugs would stop firing. As an engineer, I usually would take this project on myself, but it was a hot day, my tools were packed deep in the trailer, and this was not something I was prepared to deal with while moving. Thankfully, Chucks was the closest shop. Phillip knew to check the pulley bearings to see if this was the root cause, which all turned out to be fine. My SUV had around 100k miles, so the heat must have been the last straw for the original factory belt. They said they could have the part by morning and offered to drive me to a nearby hotel. When I got to the hotel, I called every auto parts store in the area and sure enough, none had it in stock - earliest anyone could get it was the next morning. I got a good nights rest, had breakfast, and was back on the road by late morning for a "no BS" price. Having seen shops try to sell everything from tire air filters to headlight fluid, these guys are legit & were the best thing that could have become of a situation nobody wants to be in. Thanks again, gents, I'll be sure to stop in to say hello (and perhaps let you take some scheduled maintenance off my plate) next time I'm traveling along I-90.
I took my 2016 Dodge Caravan to Chucks Auto today for a front wheel alignment. I waited over 7 hours and still no call from them. I decided to call and check on my vehicle's progress. Amy informed me that it would be another hour or so. She then informed me that they were gonna charge me for an extra hour of labor because I changed my own axle spindles, wheel hubs, and tie rod ends. Their reason to charge the extra hour was to inspect my work to make sure I installed them correctly. So almost 2 hours went by still no call saying they were finished with the wheel alignment. I drove there to find my van outside and finished walked in and was handed a bill for $156 and some change. Chucks Auto is a scam and will rake anything out of you that they can get.
In August of 2020, I broke down travelling I-80 eastbound and managed to limp into the Gene Stratton Service Plaza. I found Chuck's Auto Service by google search, read the reviews and called first thing in the morning. They towed me to the shop in Sturgis (a short ride off of the toll road), confirmed the problem quickly, ordered the part and had me fixed up and back on the road in a few short hours. Honest, straight forward, professional, reasonable and very fair the whole way around. I unequivocally recommend them without any reservation. There is a coffee shop across the street with free wi-fi.
As a follow up to this post 2 months later. The work was subsequently looked at by my regular mechanic who confirmed the quality of work was great and the price was more than fair. If I could give these folks a 10 star rating I would.
They were one of the listed installers on Goodyears's website and I booked their service through Goodyear's website. My tires got installed in a good amount of time. Even more so I would recommend Chuck's as another local shop wouldn't return my request for service.
I had to call Chucks towing service to pick up our red corvette in Mendon, Michigan. We took it to put a for sale sign on it at the Mendon Dust off. Needless to say, they picked us up and the car. And promised us that the car will be fixed. They are very responsible, honest, and will work on things until they are right.

I’m from Iowa was driving through on 80 west and busted my rim at 2 am. Chuck was at his shop at 8, got 2 rims ordered for me and a new tire. I was back on the road by 9. Great hard working staff and a beautiful garage. Chuck and I talked a little bit and from what I gathered he is a very hardworking and trustworthy guy. Anyone around that is questioning who to go to I 100% recommend chuck and his team. Great people! Thank you guys!

Chuck came out to my accident scene, where me and 2 of my children had just been in a horrific rollover. My 2 children that i had with me are 17 and 3. It totalled my vehicle and left some pretty bad damage to us but we're all ok. Chuck was kind and helped me get some stuff i needed like my purse and information out of the glovebox. He was kind and thoughtful and made me feel better by the kind way he treated us and the caring things he said to me. He didnt know me, but he went above and beyond the responsibilities of a tow service and my heart will be forever thankful to him for his kindness towards me and my 2 kids. A HUGE thanks chuck for everything you did and for giving us a few days to get stuff figured out. From me and my whole family, we will always be greatful and we'll continue to do business with him because of the kind caring way he was with us before he even knew my name. GOD bless you and much ❤
