We broke down on a Saturday as we were heading home in our diesel RV. We lost a clamp on the hose to our turbo system, leaving us stranded on I75. After a few calls, we found N&J. We unhooked our tow vehicle and drove the 15 miles from where we were to pick up the part. They were super helpful, very friendly, and very reasonably priced. We couldn't have asked for more :)

I had a drive axle outside flange seal leak, they arrived on time and in under an hour had the leak fixed and used materials better than OEM to prevent this from happening again. Would highly recommend N & J!

My car wouldn't start, and I was stuck. No other mechanics were open in my area, Gaylord Michigan. N&J auto diesel repair were the only auto repair open 24hrs, so I called them. After explaining the symptoms of my car's problem a fella at N&J accurately diagnosed the reason why my car wasn't starting, and made a couple of suggestions of things to try, to get my car starte, which worked! I was back on the road, Thanks to a 5atar helpful fella at N&J auto deisel repair.

Be very careful when going here. The owner convinced me that I should go with a used transmission when mine went out. while traveling. I had to leave the car with them for a month and at the end of the month they were not complete and scrambled to get me the car because there was a storm that knocked out power. after returning the car later than they originally planned the transmission gave out after barely driving it. when I called about it I was told that this is why they don't recommend used transmissions and said there was nothing they could or would do for me. N and J does not care if your car is able to drive or safe they just want your money. I was told they swap transmission with used ones somewhat commonly and that my car would be able to get me home all they back to CO and it didn't even make it 50 miles

Told me a price on the phone which ended up not being accurate. All for a tire replacement on my RV. First after they got out there the dropped my RV off the jacks and severely damaged it, just avoiding crushing the employee. Brought the wrong wheels with them, had to drive back and get the correct stuff. They double charged me. I asked for a receipt and itemized bill, no response. They said the used tires they provided were 80% tread and only 1/4 inch difference than what I had. That wasn't true, they rubbed and broke off more things. I went to a real shop and they confirmed the tires they sold me were bald and lucky to make it the 10 miles they did. They had punctures in them and we're repaired and going slowly flat. So I was left double charged, an RV with 1000's of dollars in damage and garbage used, punctured tires. And when I asked if he would be responsible for the damage, his answer was no. Do not use them at all.

Very good service and quick. Had a 5th wheel toy hauler break the spring pack on the rear axle and blew out the tire and lp gas line. Instead of towing, completed the leaf spring repair on the side of a muddy gravel road. We helped a little, drove and got some parts. We were back rolling in a few hours. Yes, road service is expensive, but good service can be priceless. The guys were genuine and cared what was happening. The staff and mechanics were nice to work with...I would use them again.

These folks are real heroes to us. My wife and I were headed to the UP when a metal shield came partially off the bottom of the car. I had no way of getting it off or fixing it. NJ sent a guy out within 30 minutes, fixed it and we were on our way within an hour. The charge was extremely fair, and their very helpful attitude was greatly appreciated. Great experience.

Awesome service did their best to assist with auto repairs in a timely manner and get us back on the road. Staff have great customer service skills and make you feel like family.

Had a break down on Sunday, called out N&J, they had me towed said cant fix on the road, so Monday he said only parts are in Detroit MI,( 237 Miles away ) that i had to go pay for and pick up, so i brought it after noon around 4 PM or so, owner said we will not start on truck till Tuesday morning because was already late, so i called on Tuesday around 8AM to get update he said they just started should be done lunch time, so lunch time came around he said 6 pm, now when i called 6 pm invoice came out over $3500 to change a water pump, belt, and fan hub, i have mine own shop and even by the books shouldn't take more then 4 hours to change, but he Charged me 20 hours said been working on it since Monday, witch was a lie when i asked for proof he didn't have any but i do have proof him saying we will start on Tuesday morning. and now even when he fixed mine truck i have stop engine light cant move truck he said not his problem so now i had to fly out mine mechanic and get it fixed, witch thank god he is much more professional and got it back running. Also when mine driver was there i asked if he can go inside the shop and check up on statues they even made him sit in office not in shop and wouldn't give him accurate updates, that when i knew something smells fishy here. PLEASE AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COST ALL THEY DO IS SCAM PEOPLE AND I WISHED I WOULD OF READ HIS REVIEWS BEFORE CALLING HIM, HE HAS ALLOT BAD REVIEWS AND OF THESE REASONS WHERE HE DECIDES TO CAHRGE WHAT HE FEELS LIKE AND IS WRONG!.. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STAR IF THERE WAS A OPTION.

Terrible experience and outrageous price. They wouldn't go pick up a part to make a repair and told my driver she had to take one of their personal vehicles to go get it ourselves then charged us for it. Then on top of that upcharges the part over $500 (almost 50%). Also charged 10 hours to change a radiator. that is twice as long as it should take. This company exercises predatory practices and should be avoided at all costs.

incredible experience. Was visiting a golf resort when my trucks serpentine belt broke. N&J was able to come out to the parking lot and replace the belt all while I was golfing. I cannot believer it worked out, my whole weekend was saved. They answered every call, were able to text and send updates promptly. Cannot recommend enough!

They charged a $125 flat service fee, $125 per hour, and $1 per mile. Unfortunately, the hourly rate and mileage were calculated from their shop to my location and back, even though they were going from call to call. This felt like a double dip and wasn't made clear upfront. Despite the questionable pricing practices, their work was good, and I'm glad they were able to help when I needed it. However, I think it's unfair to make customers pay for their travel back to the shop when they are going job to job.

Never stepped foot inside but Jody made me feel at home over the phone when my bus broke down during a rental experience. Norm didn't over charge me for his quick diagnosis and they gave me reasonable towing over a hundred miles away.

We were stranded on the side of 75 in a rental RV freezing for 4hours and the moment the owners wife found out she personally took us (and our two dogs) to our hotel and made sure we were safe and warm. Truly people who care!! Good people are hard to come by these days, but they exist at N & J!!!!

Had a leaf spring snap coming over the Mac bridge in our camper, was able to limp to a campground and called around to several places. The local RV dealer does not work on suspension and several other places didn’t want to mess with it. Called N and J at the recommendation of another garage. N and J came right out and fixed our spring. DJ was awesome and had us up and going in about an hour. Price was fair as well!!

What a great experience with N&J! We were in UP on a business trip in our diesel pusher (we live in Kentucky). Had a bunch of dash lights come on telling us we needed to do a parked Regen and the motor would shut down. Our motorhome wasn't budging until we had it done. Called N&J and Jody was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They were able to get someone out to us in the morning (as it was already close to 8:30pm). The service tech, Norm (the owner of the company) arrived early and started the Regen. About an hour and a half later, we were on the road. The service call pricing was extremely reasonable and our total bill came back less than quoted. Norm gave us a lot of great tips on maintaining the RV properly and even pointed out that we needed a front tire alignment. We are grateful and thankful for organizations like N&J that go above and beyond to get the job done. Thank you for getting us back on the road!

N & J certainly saw easy pickings Sunday 09 July. They charged me over $1,100.00 for "repairs" to my truck which lasted 40 miles. Their "professional" mechanic named Jackson got $800.00 from me Sunday then a second mechanic named DJ completed the fleecing with an additional $375.00 Monday. They saw an out of town vacationer and ripped me off worse than a card hustler. Sleep well N & J.

Estimate was 800/900$, turned out to be 1300$. Wasn’t informed about service call fee and mileage pricing. Mechanic did a good job though. Thats why I ask all this questions over the phone to make sure I pay reasonable price for the service I need. Extra 400$ is a price of a tire I could have gotten.

Really awesome experience with these guys. We had our F350 break down while pulling our camper down the highway in northern Michigan. They were able to run a quick diagnostic, realize it wasn’t something they could fix on the side of the road, then tow both our truck and camper 3 1/2 hours down to Grand Rapids. Super easy to work with, very kind, reasonably priced, and helped us work our way out of a very difficult situation on our vacation. Highly recommend if you find yourself stuck on the roadside out their way!

Very helpful, efficient, and professional. I never dreamed i could get the starter on my 2006 Ford Escape fixed on a Sunday night at 7pm, but they made it happen. I was paying through Gaylord when the starter failed me. I am very grateful for the service i was offered. Worth every bit of the price.

DO NOT USE!! As a local, I was offered a deal for some repairs by the owner. The repairs were front wheel bearings and lower control arms. In the process of the repairs, and undisclosed by this company, they CUT THE FRAME! Under the engine, where the suspension connects.Three mechanics are listed on my invoice as having worked on this, 2 with license numbers, including the owner himself, and 1 without a license number. Also knowing this would be my daughter's first vehicle, they let my 17 year old drive it off their property like this. We only discovered that they had cut holes in the frame on both sides by doing further repairs ourselves. We have contacted them several times about this situation. The owner's wife was willing to cut us a check to compensate for this blatant negligence, but the owner, himself, was not. Now, neither will contact us or take our calls. The last time I got through to them, I had to block my number so they didn't know it was me calling. Only 1 out of 9 other mechanics are even willing to LOOK at the vehicle because they CUT THE FRAME! This vehicle was book valued at around $4000, but is worth less than $500 in SCRAP now because they CUT THE FRAME. We are currently seeking legal action against them, and feel confident in compensation due to their negligence.I can't believe they have done this without making it right, as I am a local and see these people several times a week. My daughter could have been seriously injured or worse. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND DO NOT USE THEM. The safety of your loved ones could depend on it.

Very accommodating and understand your situation. Was heading north for a 4th of July vacation until my truck broke down. They couldn't get my truck fixed the same day due to the part it needed but was able to get it fixed in a couple of days. Some of the bad reviews say they are over priced or are terrible at diagnostics, but I think there comes a lot of ignorance with that. I knew exactly what was wrong with my truck and how long it would take to repair. Problem was i didn't have the tools to fix it. Their price was below what I had anticipated and told me exactly what I had figured was wrong with it. I even questioned the mechanic to make sure he wasn't blowing smoke. I will definitely be keeping their card with me in case I need them to bail me out again going north.

Over 800 miles from home and my van started having issues. N & J stepped up and took care me right away. They did a fantastic job and charged a very fair price. Thank you N & J.

Amazing service!! We were in a pinch on vacation up north in our motorhome. After blowing a tire on 75, we decided we better replace a few “iffy” tires before traveling further. They squeezed us in for a next day appointment and the cost was extremely reasonable. They could have easily charged us A LOT more knowing we were 200 miles from home. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Great people!!

A Saturday evening, over 3 hours from home, our radiator went out on us. We happened to be at a gas station in Gaylord when we realized it. Found this business on Google and gave them a call, explained our situation, and they told us to come by and they'd take care of us. Luckily we were only a couple miles from the shop. They had us fixed and ready to go in about an hour. Very nice to our kids while we waited. They charged us a very fair price too, they did not overcharge us. Very grateful for God putting us in the right place at the right time with good people.

N&j took good care of us. We blew our rv alternator on i-75 north of gaylord. Norm took the call, recommended a good tow place (he could not repair on site that day). The next morning, they quickly got the part and installed it. Charged a fair price. We were on our way to enjoy the weekend, with minimal fuss.
