I believe this is the one of the best ever interactions between AAA and the company Troy Auto Transport. He came with the gas, still didn't start he actually came out of his pocket and bought starter spray to see if we could jump start the car and it still didn't work, so I had to get a tow this man helped me push my car to a parking spot and called me just to make sure I was OK on my walk home. He was just incredible and i salute those guys for helping out so much.
Troy Auto & Truck Center on Stephenson helped me out with an intermittent Check Engine Light that I was experiencing on my 04 Chevy Express Van. It's a class B conversion RV and 9ft tall, but no problem for them to work on.
After researching the problem, doing a series of diagnostic steps myself, and having a specific set of circumstances identified that would trigger the CEL, I was pretty convinced, though not certain, that the van just needed to have the crankshaft position sensor relearned with a professional scan tool to fix the problem. And after having the relearn procedure performed, my issue is resolved!
Huge thanks to service writer, Yandura, for hearing me out about the issue I was having, about the diagnostic steps I had done myself so far, and for agreeing to have the relearn procedure performed with zero fuss.
All the other shops/dealers I called either wouldn't touch the van after hearing it was an RV conversion or wouldn't agree to try the quick sensor relearn procedure that I was recommending and instead wanted to see the van and do their own diagnosis before recommending whatever they felt was necessary.
It's very refreshing to find a shop that will work with the customer on getting to the bottom of a complex problem instead of telling us to drop off the vehicle and get out of the way. Again, I wasn't absolutely certain that the relearn would fix the problem, but it was a quick and easy step that I was willing to try that had successfully fixed the issue for other owners of the same make/model with the same set of symptoms. It was certainly worth trying before getting into much more complicated and involved diagnostic steps.
I appreciated the willingness to try what I was asking without overcomplicating things and without arguing over scope of work and other nonsense. I had the van in for service 2 days after first talking to them, and had the van back 4 hours after dropping it off for a super reasonable price.

I took a break from my job to run out to my SUV for a moment, only to find my tire completely flat. Not good, as I was on an evening shift and it was already getting dark outside. I used OnStar which connected me with Troy Auto and Truck, and Tiana came out and put my spare on for me. She was very punctual, professional, and efficient! It only took about 45 min from call to completion, I was back to work with barely any time lost. Thanks Tiana!

Little back story- Growing up my dad did all car repairs, once I hit my teens (around 2001) he started taking the cars to a local Midas, and a man named Ron became our regular mechanic, he was good. My dad passed in 2006 and shortly after, Ron had opened his own shop, so mom and I followed Ron to that shop. Seemed ok at first, but after a while I started noticing he was charging us ALOT, we’d go in for an oil change and end up walking out with over $1000 worth of work, EVERY time. I may not be an expert, but my dad was a wrencher so I know a little bit. He also continually tried to get my mom to sell him her 1997 fully loaded, pearl white Aurora (apparently his wife really wanted one) kept going to Ron’s shop for a while, until he told my mom she need a new transmission. Upon getting a second opinion, there was nothing wrong with her transmission. When we finally sold the car around 2009, the buyer was looking through the paperwork and asked if we realized we were being charged twice for things. Right then we knew Ron was in fact ripping us off. We hopped around to different shops for a few years, until we finally found Troy truck and auto.
Dennard Calmese was exceptionally friendly and efficient upon arrival. He communicated clearly, carried himself with professionalism and genuine care, and made sure I felt confident that he had my best interests at heart. It's dedicated workers like him who make me feel safe and reaffirm that I made the right choice in choosing this company.
My wife's car battery died and I just couldn't get it jumped - called AAA and within 20 minutes I had someone there to assist. Tiana assessed the issue quickly and had the battery changed out and running in record time. I couldn't have been happier with the service - would definitely recommend!

I recently had to call AAA for assistance with a flat tire, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. The company dispatched a technician from Troy Auto Care arrived promptly and was incredibly professional.
Upon arrival, the technician quickly assessed the situation and got to work changing the tire with impressive speed and efficiency. It was evident that they were skilled at what they do, which put me at ease during the whole process.
Overall, my experience with Troy Auto Care was fantastic, and I highly recommend their roadside assistance service. They made a stressful situation much more manageable!
The radiator on my 2020 Subaru Forester ruptured on the hottest day of the year. I brought it in and they quickly diagnosed the issue and ordered a replacement, which was installed the next morning. While sitting in the waiting room, I observed the interactions between the service writers and multiple customers and to a person they were sure to show their appreciation for their customers. But more importantly, I saw NO attempt to upsell customers on additive this and additive that. This is a common practice at all other shops I've been to, including dealerships. I am confident that my repair was done right at a very competitive price. This will be my "go to" shop going forward and I have already recommended it to my entire family.
We have been using them for our truck fleet, with the additional cleaning equipment they have been fantastic at listening to instructions doing and asking everything needed to make sure the job is done right and we get the trucks back on the road in a timely manner. Cant say enough good things about them!

I called Onstar to have my Cadillac towed to the dealership. Troy Auto & Truck Center was the company they used. Tharyn was the tow truck driver. Trust me he was the best tow truck driver I've ever met. He was very polite and sympathetic to my situation. I had a rental car break down and Troy Auto was the tow company that came out. They were quick to arrive and even kept me updated on the time they would arrive. The tow driver Mr. Tharyn was exceptional! Polite, friendly, and very knowledgeable about vehicles and the process. His calm positive attitude really kept me sane in this frustrating process of a rental car breaking down. The drive all the way down to the airport was made better by his great attitude. Definitely a stellar employee.

Last week, my parents had a flat tire on Groesbeck in Roseville, MI. AAA contacted Troy Auto Care and Dan was dispatched. Dan arrived quickly and immediately set to work. Within minutes, the temporary spare was affixed and the folks were back on the road. Dan's calm professionalism exuded a non-nonsense approach that put my mother at ease and impressed my father. Dan certainly earned his five star rating, but his work was easily worth ten stars. Thanks to him and Troy Auto and Truck.
I'm very thankful for the guy who towed me last night after my car blew. I think his name was Ken, he was very kind and made the whole experience great. Being stuck on the side of the highway at 2am can be scary, and after calling two other places that wouldn't come out and tow me (probably because I kept saying I'm on 75 going towards i-94), he was the only one to clarify and ask if I meant 696, which I did. He was fast and helpful, most importantly got me home safe and I'm so thankful. Thank you again Ken!

I was locked out of my car this morning and we could not find the keys for the life of us. AAA sent out Troy Auto & Truck Center associate Jeff C. I 1000000% recommend Jeff and this company for any situations you may find yourself in. Jeff was friendly, personable, knowledgeable, funny, and very efficient at his job! He got us into the vehicle, not leaving a single scratch or dent or anything. One of the best-if not the best-people I've had to help me through AAA.
On top of Jeff and his wonderful service and help, Danyel/Danielle from Troy Auto even called me afterwards just to make sure that everything went okay and that I was happy with the experience. She was so friendly and pleasant as well as knowledgable and you could tell she truly cares whether I was happy with the service provided. This company TRULY does care, you can see it in their actions and hear it in their voices.

I couldn't be more happy with the service and care I was given when trying to get an old family truck back on the road that had been sitting for over 5 years. I live 700+ miles away but was taken care of like a close friend. They towed it in and preformed a very through inspection of the truck, which had a bad fuel leak, fixed the leak and the other items necessary to get it back on the road, and held to their promise on pricing, even when it came out in my favor. I wish there was a shop like this in my town. I would recommend them to anyone for any service. Very knowledgeable great mechanics. Thank you Crew and Staff. They even pressure washed it to get the years of crud off of it from sitting under a tree.
