Iv been coming here for years now specifically because of Steve. He’s always been straight forward good or bad news no bs. I would highly recommend giving them a shot and see the great service for yourself.

Brought my car to these guys, and not only were they super thorough (and kept in the loop with their handy dandy diagnostic text updates!), but when an issue couldn't be found they didnt even charge me. Super good folks, will definitely be bringing my car back when there actually is something wrong with it.

Thought I had a problem, got it checked out, turn out that there was no issue. Great service; fast and communication. Steve’s a great guy. Love this place!

If you’re looking for the customer happiest with service at Wear Master you’ve come to the right review. The owner Steve is kind, compassionate, truthful, and just a good person. He has helped us out numerous times with an old car that kept breaking down. Fixed it when we needed to and let us know when it was time to cut ties and get a new car. He recommended new car options when the time came down to it. I have told Steve many times and I’ll say it here. He has us as loyal customers for life now, even if we move out of Madison Heights in the future. If you’re looking for a good honest car mechanic, Wear Master is the place to go.

Get a shop that leaves you thinking about the above and beyond service you received, for more than 2 weeks. I brought my car in to get serviced on 9/18, and was absolutely amazed by the quality, communication, and professionalism by both Steve and the tech Brandon (if I remember his name correctly) If you have any doubts of finding the right mechanic, this is your place.

Oil change was reasonably priced. I also had a torn mud flap and they secured it for me for no charge. Very friendly too!

**Update 7/2 ** Yoke seal that was replaced with gas line appears to have gone out about 2 to 3 months ago according to mechanic. had it in the shop for oil change and it was brought to my attention. All and all Maybe got 4 months out of the yoke seal. All that money wasted. What a joke. I'll start by saying go somewhere else immediately. Worst shop I have ever been to. They will rake you over the coals with pricing and use whatever Parts they have laying around. They will have you going around in circles on the phone and do not stand by their service even though they claim to do. They put a heater hose on a fuel line luckily was found at a different shop. Beware, beware, beware!!!! You can go ahead and respond to Joe, show everybody how slick of a talker you can be haha.

I take my vehicles here all the time. I find the manager Steve to be friendly, knowledgeable and honest. If he does not know something or is not 100% sure he tells me ,investigates and calls me to tell me. The tech are great friendly and go the extra mile

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. If you’re looking for a reliable mechanic to keep coming back to, look no further than Wear Master! Steve the manager is honest and cares only about what’s best for his customers, and is not trying to make a quick buck off of you. He and his technician Chris helped me diagnose what was wrong with my car, and when I decided I was going to replace the car, they went above and beyond in helping me inspect used vehicles so I would have something reliable to replace it with. 12/10 service. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you both!

Way overpriced. Quoted me $850 to replace an exhaust manifold. Called another shop and they quoted me $265 out the door for the same job. That is an almost $600 price difference! It makes me wonder how many times they have ripped me off in the past. Smh. I definitely won't be going back to Wear Master.

My first experience with Wear Masters did not disappoint! Not only were they friendly and professional, Steve actually took me in the back to show me EXACTLY where the leak was coming from. An extra step that was unexpected and appreciated! The work was quick and the pricing was reasonable. Highly, highly recommend their services.

I am so grateful to Steve for the service he has provided on my 2016 Nissan Rogue. Initially I had my breaks and suspension addressed. Most recently my check engine light was on and I had a complete tuneup and overhaul…my car runs like new now! I stopped by the other day with a tire issue which they don’t do but Steve sent me down the road to JRE Tire and Auto and that worked out great as they were able to get me in and out right away and fix my leaky tire and rotate them all. I am so relieved to have reputable great shops to take my car.

I came to Wear Master for an alignment after being referred to them, the two gentlemen there were very cordial and professional. It was a truly refreshing experience. Unfortunately, their alignment system needed to be serviced (no fault to them of course). I insisted that I only wanted them to service my vehicle and will gladly wait until they were able to have the alignment system serviced. UPDATE 1/15/25: Was called back roughly a week later and they were able to perform an alignment on my Passat the same day for me. I am very meticulous when it comes to keeping my vehicles in tip-top shape. The steering wheel is straight as an arrow and I am greatly pleased with the alignment service. I look forward to working with these gentlemen in the future.

Steve the manager was incredibly helpful and my Jeep's brakes were changed all the way around the same day. I didn't realize they do more than just mufflers, they do most stuff. I will be back!

Came in for a new exhaust, Steve was extremely friendly and was very thorough on explaining what needed to be done. He salvaged what he could instead of saying everything needed to be replaced. The cost was very fair and quick turnaround time. Steve is very trustworthy and I will bring any future car problems to Wear Master.

My car was in the flood this past June, and from start to finish Wear Master helped me through it all. Keeping me updated on repairs, and communicating with the insurance company. I cannot express how grateful I am to them for their guidance and support during this crazy time. They have a customer for life now.

This place is FANTASTIC. I brought my car in early in the morning before they opened and dropped my keys off. I needed a full check up on the vehicle but mostly, my brakes were the issue. Front routers and rear discs were replaced along with a couple other things. It wasn't the cheapest fix but it was worth it. Since they did a full check too, Steve gave me a list of others things that needed to be done eventually but the brakes were the most important. Since I got my car in so early they checked my vehicle out first thing and I got it back by the end of the day. I got off work around 4pm and when I got there, they were doing the final touches on the car. While I was waiting Steve went to the store and offered to buy me something to drink. The vehicle was complete shortly after and they showed me the old parts that they replaced and explained to me again what else needs to be done on the vehicle. The customer service was great. Steve and the one mechanic they had working (they were short staffed) were both really nice and helped me out so much. They were honest and overall a great experience. I would recommend to anyone looking for a mechanic in the Madison heights area to trust. Thank you for the work Wear Masters!

My check brake light had been popping up periodically while driving, never having that problem before, I started looking around for where to get my car looked at. I saw this place was highly rated and conveniently 5 minutes away from my house. I brought my car in and the manager manning the front desk, Steve, was very welcoming and helpful. I ended up needing my brakes replaced, and they were done by the end of the day! Very happy with the service provided and definitely plan on using them for future car troubles.

I ended up taking my car here because of all the positive reviews. We had taken my fiancé's car to the Royal oak Wear Master but due to the + reviews I went here. WOW. What a fantastic experience. I told them to just tell me what is a "must do" for safety and they did a full safety inspection and gave me a few options for things that needed fixing. (It's an old car so I knew it would be multiple things.) I did the highest priority and they gave me prices over the phone for each repair. I am used to taking my car and leaving it at a Shop for days on end. But they finished my car in a day! When I go to pick up my car - it's the exact price they quoted. They are fair, super nice people, and did great work. Take your car here!! You will not be disappointed.

Steve and the mechanics here are excellent! I had to have some major work done, and Steve took the time to explain everything that was needed and answer all my questions. The price was reasonable, the work was done in a timely manner, and the vehicle is driving like new again!

This place is absolutely AMAZING! They’re patient, and super understanding! They did some serious hard work on my front end on my Mazda and I couldn’t be more satisfied! Excellent exhaust system inspection and repair job, affordable prices, confidence in their job (through their 1-year warranty), and great customer experience! Here are the details: Had noise coming from exhaust in my Ford Escape 2012. The dealer "suspected" that the flex pipe was replaced by solid pipe (which is hard to believe, since I've bought my car in 2014 -car was only 2 years old- and no such exhaust system work is done afterwards). This Wear Master shop correctly refuted that after their inspection. Steve clearly communicated what specifically the issue is, and laid down the fix options and costs. Ended up with installing a new muffler and resonator assembly with gasket and hardware, less than half what the dealer quoted ? All of that is excellently done in the same day, with me leaving the shop very satisfied with my car without the exhaust noise. Secondly, I've asked them to replace the wipers blades. They showed quick turn around to get the right fit, to install. Now, I have nice and smooth wipers on the front and rear. My car is my baby, and Wear Master is now my baby's clinic ? absolutely recommending them to family and friends. Finally, thanks Steve & Wear Master team!

Steve and Nick were excellent! I came in under a time crunch with needing quite a few repairs and they were able to do everything the same day for me. They were very kind, and understanding to my concerns on my car. It drives great, and I would absolutely come back and recommend anyone here.

Wear Master was recommended to me by my brother in law and he had great things to say about Steve. I’m glad I took his advice because Steve was super nice and helpful. Steve even checked to see how my car was doing after the repair which shows you the extra step they take for their customers! I got my car back the same day they said they would take a look too. Highly recommend!

Front desk service man was knowledgeable and very respectful and kind. When they had a line of cars to work on, he squeezed in my emergency and got me back on the road same day. I was very impressed by the service and treatment here. First time dealing with a mechanic that I didn't feel taken advantage of. I will be going back for more service as my vehicle needs more work. I will update after next visit. 8/5/19 update: Took my car back for more service. These guys are amazing. One of them took the time to explain to me in detail how the link pins work. I didnt end up getting those replaced but they did fix my hub. I checked around and got much higher estimates elsewhere. Steve was again very helpful and took time to have me understand what was going on. Again, I am very satisfied with the service here and would recommend them to anyone with car troubles (or just maintenance). My car has close to 200,000 miles and things are starting to really wear down and break-- which is reasonable. I am confident this garage will fix what needs fixing and not recommend a bunch of work that may or may not need to be fixed.
