I picked up a battery pack for my Ford Escape Hybrid from these guys because the fans inside my battery pack didn't work, and this was after installing new fans, so I figured the battery control module was going bad. Their price for the pack was half the price of anyone else, and it was listed as having been tested. They offered a 30 day warranty too, so I figured I'd rather do that than get just a used control module from a F.U.B.A.R. Escape/Mariner and deal with the danger of replacing it within the pack. Well, I hooked it all up and I didn't work. Not a fun thing to discover when you had to drive down from Central Michigan to get it, and also rent a "cherry picker" hoist to move the heavy beast around.
So, I call them up to see what gives, and Nash set me up with one of his relatives (Salah) who he claimed to know a thing or two about hybrids, so I drove the Escape back down to his shop on a Sunday. Salah, did in fact know his way around hybrids. He figured out that there was a broken wire in the vehicles wiring that powered the fans. The break was just after the fuse box (the one under the hood) under the fender, but the fuse wasn't blown. It would have taken me forever to find that (since I was under the impression the fans got their power from the control module itself), but after watching Salah chase down the problem, I learned alot! Also noteworthy, was that Salah soldered the wires as he pretty much condemns the use of crimps, and made some conduit to protect the wires. He doesn't cut corners, and all of his repairs are in his words "Military Grade".
So to make a long story short, these guys are great to work with, so long as you're willing to work with them! I can't thank Salah enough. Now I have a spare 330 volt battery that I've got to figure out what to do with, but that's on me :/
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. This is the second time I have ordered parts and they don’t show up. I called today to get a part and he said Cole right over, we have it...I drove 20 minutes and they don’t have it! Very unprofessional and unreliable. John told me the part I needed was $75, he listed it on CarPart for $40!! He tries to rip people off!!!
WOW just very impressed!! That is the bottom line. Very great customer service. They did an amazing job on my 2015 Dodge Dart. They had everything I was looking for. Very fast, very affordable price. I will definitely use them in the future!! Never dealt with such a great shop before.
Excellent collision / used parts business ! They did a wonderful job on my 2004 BMW 325xi. They had both the used hood and the headlight assembly right on their lot. Got the work done in less than a week and at a very friendly price. I may buy my next used car from them !
