Nick is my friend and I've been doing business with him since one year after he opened. I never once thought he was deceptive. He is old school. I dont believe the people saying he cheats with his cart. Im sure he doesnt mind showing you how much its ways. Wishing you well in retirement Brother !
Staff was rude and unprofessional. Waited around for 10 minutes just to be told they did not buy small quantities ( had 25 lbs of copper) you should have that posted on your site or building.
Been my trade spot for awhile once upon a time when i ran my own show for my residential scrap copper and aluminum siding while i lived off of Curie st right down the street from ya off and on for about 20 years. I also traded at the one in downtown Mount Clemens near Joy and Selfridges Base i once visited back when i was a teen and took a walk in the snow to check out the run way :) military police checked in us and seen we were honest with them and had no reason to arrest our car full of teens...;) Thanks brothas. I even enjoyed a seat in your office full of great artwork ;p while ya all fairly did trade with EYE thank you brothas again.
RUDE!! Apparently I didn't have enough of the metal they like.Told me not to come back. Tried ripping me off as well. They are supposed to weigh each type of metal. But they throw it all on scale and make you a low ball offer. Shouldn't be in business.
STAY AWAY!!!! They tried ripping me off out of nearly 40# in scrap weight. Their scale 238, down the street it was amazingly 274.5.
For the record, his "90#" cart is nowhere near that weight. I picked the thing up with one hand. I will be reporting my experience to the state. That is no wayou to run a businesd, making a profit is one thing, ripping people off is criminal.
NEVER WEIGHT OF THE CART or see the weight of the cart before filling.
Me being the not so smart woman that I am believed that they were weighing the copper correctly and were giving me what I brought in. Well told hubby and he told me that they ripped me off at least over 20 lbs in cooper. So if you want to use them ask to see the scale before you agree to sell them your scrap. Also make sure you weight your scrap and write it down so when they weight it you know for sure you are getting what you deserve.
They got me in and out in a jiffy. Paid me good money for some aluminum and copper.
I can't say if I could have received more money else where, but I was happy with what they paid. And they were cool. No 3rd degree treatment like I stole the stuff that other similar places do.
