I have to say the women in the office are sweet, understanding and very compassionate. Joycelyn was the young lady I interacted with and she went above and beyond to help me!!!! In this mean world we live in it’s not often you come across people and businesses that are genuinely nice and this company is!!!! Thank you for your support and help!!
Horrible they think they are bounty hunters the way they treat you too pick up your personal belongings out iof our car you surrendered thru a bankruptcy..just ridiculous....plus they took my car too early from when bankruptcy allowed it...just horrible..treat you like your a criminal....also I still have things left in there my cross..and my angel necklace ...just horrible ..mayb let people know so they can take their items out before you take the vehicle..
they were nice at first on the phone and when i got there they seemed nice. once the lady brought out my stuff she was bitchy. i was looking through some of my stuff and said some stuff is missing. she went and got a few more things didn’t give me two seconds to say thank you and she yells you’re welcome!! then starts yelling at me “i didn’t even have to bag your stuff” and sped off driving.
If I could give these people 0 stars I would. My car was repossessed and I was told by the bank to give them a call to schedule and appointment to pick up my property. I first called 2 days after my car was picked up and they said they didn’t have my car. I called back 3 days later and they said I could schedule an appointment. I went to the appointment and was told that they would drive my car to the front so that I could retrieve my items. I went on my lunch break at work and sat out there for 45 mins. I went into the building to see what was taking so long and they said they misplaced my stuff. They stated that they have it just misplaced. They said they would find it and bring it to me for the inconvenience. Well to make a long story short, I never received my property, I kept calling and they kept saying they were looking. Spoke with one lady and she said they found it , I could come get it. Called back to double check and they said they still couldn’t find it. These people stole all my personal property out of my vehicle and fell to communicate with me.
I just spoke to Nick in the parking lot about getting my purse, my backpack and my daughters present out of the front seat of my car. They repossessed it at 3:20 while I was picking up my kids from school(my fault, I own that). I made it to the lot by 4:15. They close at 3pm. I am hoping and praying that they will allow me to get at least my personal items out of the front seat on Monday 3-3-25. Hopefully someone from the office sees this and will be gracious enough to help me out while I am already struggling.
Edit: Tiffany (i think thats her name) in the front office was just amazing. She was kind enough to let me grab my purse and my kids gift Monday morning. I would have like to get everything else but this is a place of business and they have a procedure they have to follow. I couldn't be mad. I knew my car was getting picked up eventually and I knew better than to leave personal items in the car. I made and appointment for the next day and everything went fine. At the the end of the day, they are in the recovery business. If you don't like it then maybe you shouldn't finance a vehicle you can't afford. And I get it, I have 3 kids and no job, now I don't have a car but this is all because of my own choices, not the fault of this company.
i really didn’t want to do this but after reading some other reviews i’ve decided to warn everyone else! i had my car repoed (which is totally my fault. i get it) but they don’t respect your belongings or feelings. they all have attitudes. it was so hard for me to even get an appointment to get my personal belongings and then when i show up to get my things all my car seats had dirt all over ONE side of them. when my aunt went in to tell them it was disrespectful of them to treat other peoples belongings like that they laughed about it and said that the car seats were already like that when they took them out. don’t get me wrong i know the car seats were dirty with food crumbs but they didn’t have DIRT all over one side of them. it’s already hard enough having to deal with the fact that i just lost my only transportation and now i’ve lost all my car seats because they don’t care. they just throw your stuff all over the ground
They were pretty professional after they towed our vehicle. The only complaint is I wish they took a little more time to help people out with questions. I get ur probably annoyed with people asking this and that but many of us have never been in the position of a tow and are facing hard times and we just need some help navigating the situation. Please remember that. nothing was missing out our car or anything like that aswell
Horrible company and people! They repo'd my neighbors car and drove across my lawn to get it then hauled it out over my lawn, tearing up my landscaping. Rude when I called saying they would not do anything and I had to call my neighbors bank ?!?
I have it all on video, bank and police will be called. Who thinks they can just destroy other (innocent) peoples property like that with no apology or recourse!!!
They definitely steal and don't provide you with everything that was in your car. I'm missing a few items that I know for a fact was on there but they won't let you get the items out yourself. Avoid this company at all costs!
Update the lie too please do not use them ever if you wants lies told about what their driver did to my car and then the icing on time is my car was sold at auction when i have possession of my car right now. Nobody called me to hear my side and they straight lied to the attorney general who now can’t help me
I understand why people are angry when their car gets repossessed. However, getting angry with the recovery company is WRONG! They are only doing their jobs. The vehicle was assigned to them by contract because you defaulted on your agreement with the lien holder. They are not in business to steal your stuff. The only people you should be upset with is your lender and yourself.
My experience with Rockwood Recovery was anything but negative. They were very professional, kind, and understanding. Jen was especially wonderful. She explained the procedure for retrieving my personal property, by appointment only and returning the car keys. I was also informed to bring ID to shown I was whom I claim to be. There were ZERO charges for the return of my personal property. My possessions were already removed from the car and ready for me when I arrived. NOTHING was missing and/or damaged. I even had money in my car and it was ALL returned.
Their office is a secure environment and very clean and tidy. I felt very comfortable in their lobby.
In closing, to all negative reviewers, keep your lies and misinformation to yourself! Rockwood Recovery is a great and professional company...
very rude and hangs up on you mid conversation. my car was stolen and I had general questions about my car and how to get it and the man on the phone hung up on me. I do not recommend using this towing company if you're a decent human. shame on you for being so mean.
These people are rude as hell.

And when they go to pick up your car from your house, they tear up your driveway and drive through your yard, leaving deep wheel marks. No accountability, whatsoever. And they think they are better than everybody else. And when you tell them that you're gonna call the cops. They laugh while you're trying to pick up your stuff.
HORRIBLE SERVICES AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you need to pick up anything, these people only service by appointment. I NEEDED to do a personal pickup AS SOON AS POSSIBLE because my things were VERY IMPORTANT and I needed them IMMEDIATELY (all things that you would need incase of an emergency). I called about 30 minutes before they closed (which was out of my control) on Friday and they TOLD ME that I couldn’t come in and that I would have to schedule for Monday at 9am. To make things just as worse as the people there are, the lady then also had the AUDACITY to tell me that “I’m not even in my car and on my way yet”, KNOWING they’d repoed my vehicle. I called them at 9am Monday morning just for them to tell me that I WAS NOT put on the schedule and that I would have wait another day entirely to pick up things that I had desperately been needing since I called them on Friday. I called back and they told me that I would be able to come in the same day and just as I was in my way, they called me back to tell me once again that I would have to wait until the next morning because “their furnace went out”. It’s a complete run-around and waste of time with them. I would not suggest this place to be servicing anyone and they need to be OUT OF BUSINESS. For people to already be having a hard enough time as IT IS, they should at least be more personable and have better CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. However, they LACK good customer service, they are RUDE and UNORGANIZED!!! Not to mention, I’ve seen others report their things being stolen out of their cars with this business in other recent reviews. Between holes in their ceiling, an improperly working furnace and a den of THIEVES, this place should without a doubt be SHUT DOWN!
1-22-2024 Monday: I went back to get more of my things, my airpods are missing. I told them exactly where I’d left them and they said they “couldn’t find them” or “maybe they fell underneath the seat”, which it’s impossible for them to have fallen underneath the seats because they were sitting in the front counsel of the car or INSIDE the middle counsel. They also told me maybe I “just don’t know where I left my things”, which isn’t something I’m surprised they’d try to pull when they’re being accused of stealing personal property. They also threw the ash tray that was in my car on top of everything else and it spilled all over my book bag with all of my other things inside.
Driver caused damages to my car and they are lying about causing them but its cool because I filed a complaint with the Attorney General. They are preforming illegal repossessions.
These people are thieves! They stole the Tonneau cover off my truck when they “stole” it in the middle of the night, then lied to Chrysler Capital about the cover. Total crooks!
Joe's recovery business is excellent and I would suggest everybody go through them furthermore they have a excellent staff that has great communication with no bitter words thank you Joe Jenny Jen the whole staff

Truck driver was yelling at me with my kids in the car while I was at a red light. Drove on the curb and swerving all over the road. Cut people off. Makes the company look bad the way he was acting in a company truck
I would like to say thank you to the entire staff and the tow truck driver Brandon. They were very professional and worked with my schedule to recover a vehicle that I’ve been trying to get the finance company to pick up since November. If you need recovery done I highly recommend this company.
They repoed my car, I came to pick it up same day and of course they were closing had to wait until the next day went there soon as they opened, to find that someone stole my grandsons little 21$ out of my car cup holder, lied not knowing I have cameras running in my car 24/7. And still lying about it I asked them to replay their cameras and somehow I knew she would turn computer screen away from me.I didn't even inform them I had my own cameras watched them n yes there HE is taking my grandsons money leaving three dollars in my cupholder the lawyer whom in return contacted them so we will see what happens. They blatantly lied and stole out my car I don't care if it was just a penny take nothing out my car that does Not belong to u, I guess they thought I wouldn't get my car bk and did what they do.
My car got repoed and I came got my property and the owner Jenny was absolutely amazing and the staff was awesome gave me good information I was well taken care of . I was well satisfied if ur car gets repoed they will take care of you !
To truly cannot day enough good about this place. I myself am going through a difficult time and so many of us are struggling, during this crisis Rockwood was downright amazing! Kindness and love helps resolve most problems and I’m so grateful for their help during my difficult times. Thank Rockwood for the respect, kindness, and understanding. Y’all are amazing!
Very VERY nice people! I can’t say enough good things. They Do not judge you! Bad things happen to good people, and they understand! My car was repoed last night/early morning around 3 am, i paid the fees and had it back the same day! No wait, no hassle!
