I ONLY use Joe Ballor towing for my vehicles because they are simply the best in the business. The professional manner in which they handle things is the best in the industry. My car slid off the rack inside my garage late last night and the professional way the team helped me was just so impressive. They arrived on time, worked a solution , flawlessly executed the solution with great care. They always seem to have the best equipment and pride themselves on customer service from the start of the job and first call to the very end. I won’t use anyone else !! Thank you and the entire team !! 5 stars !!
I called them saying I wanted to get my car unlocked and I told them I canceled the previous company’s use and they kept asking if I cancelled it then hung up on me. Don’t recommend.
The first time I used them years ago I gave 5 stars. Above and beyond. That was most likely to do with the truck driver specifically. The second time was business as usual, simple tow for 1.5 miles. The last 2 times have been less than ideal. They were selected by insurance and both times I was told that it would not be covered by that insurance and then offered to do the job if I paid out of pocket. The last time I even called their dispatch to inform them of the exact situation and they said no problem but still sent out someone unequipped to help and made that offer. Both times I had another towing company come out to do the tow.
Highly recommend Ballor towing, Clarence was the driver he was honest, helpful , and on time with when we were told a time slot. I've used Ballor one other time since moving to Bruce twp, and I had the same attentive service.

Tried to get a car out of their lot that was involved in a crash for a friend who was out of town (owner of the vehicle).
This company would not help whatsoever I had legal (government)documents appointment of agent and power of attorney with information matching owners id as well as mine. Documentation also matched the vehicle information in question. We weee told they had no idea what this documentation was and that it didn’t mean anything to them whatsoever.
Additionally we tried do get the vehicle out before the driver even had it back to their lot and they told us no, we are not open. Forcing an overnight storage fee in addition to the cost of the tow.
The documentation the company wanted instead of the official government ones was a note, just handwritten and singed by the owner.
Sounds more like a high school permission slip.
I had a scheduled tow for noon. At 1:00, nobody had showed or called. I called their office. The lady I spoke with had no knowledge of said scheduled tow that I set up the day before. She claimed they were having computer issues. I understand that can and does happen occasionally. However, magically, as we were on the phone, my appointment popped up on her computer screen. She asked if anyone gave me a quote to which I said no. She said "oh, I see its a cash transaction" and I said "no, I never said that and nobody even asked me about that. I'll be paying with a card if that's ok." She said yes, that's perfectly fine. She still didn't give me a quote, nor did she call me back like she said she would, so for over another hour, I had no idea what was going on and the tow truck just showed up. She was however, nice, but their office seems like an unorganized mess. They managed to still get my vehicle towed 3 hours after it should have been. I messed around with this much of my day. I mentioned to the driver that it was nice to see him and what had happened. He didn't care one bit and was more concerned that he just washed his truck. Not that it was at all his fault. After this hassle, they still charged me full price of $253 for a 28 mile tow. Absolutely ridiculous! The least they could have done was give a bit of a discount on their outrageous prices since none of this was my fault and I wasted a ton of time. I'll never use them again unless I have absolutely no choice.
100% outstanding! From the wonderful lady on the phone. To Dallas who towed my truck flawlessly! 10 fold a top notch experience all around. Highly recommend to everyone!
Buyer's Beware
We just had a tow service from them though AAA. He quoted us $250.00 for a battery. We ended up paying $284.39 Becareful they charge you 3% for paying by credit card. Business get credits to get more business. Usually in all cases that is thier expense. For convenience. It's passed on to the customer. They charged me $283.89. I calculated it with all the extra charges. Paying for the use of my credit card at 3%. I was over charged $10.89. Then I asked them to e-mail me the receipt. I did not get a e-mail. We were SCAMMED!
The guy at the front desk was very nice and very helpful. Amazing customer service. I loved that they had a back the blue flag and other patriotic signs in their store. It is rare to find super friendly people these days. Never fun to need a car towed but at least they were super friendly and treated me the customer with respect. Will definitely use them again if I need a car towed in the future.
Greg came this morning within 20 minutes of us calling AAA. Very nice and polite. We had our kids out to see the tow truck in our driveway, and Greg even showed them the lights and controls. Whenever I need towing or emergency services, I’m going to call Joe Ballor first (and see if Greg’s available! ?)
Update edit: needed another tow this morning and the way to work. Battery just died. Guess who shows up... it’s Greg! Thanks for the positive attitude and getting me to the office... AGAIN!
They do not have change so you have to bring cash and the EXACT change. When I called to see how much, the lady only said to bring cash no credit. Would have been nice to know I had to have exact change. Other than that the people were nice and I had no issues.
All I can say is outstanding service. We had a mishap and needed a tow. The two guys that came out we're great. Very professional and even cleaned up our driveway for us. If we ever need a tow again we will go with Joe Ballor for sure.

Tiffany and Zach were AMAZING- My backup car decided not to start- I called them because it had to be moved or else it was going to be towed. Tiffany gave me a SUPER reasonable rate and Zach even helped get my battery lose from the restraints so today I could replace the battery. I overheard Tiffany say "Awe, I'm so happy to hear she just needed a jump and didnt have to get a tow." That showed she had compassion for people- Joe Ballor- You have some good employees on your hands! Don't let them go! I run a business myself and would be proud to have those 2 representing my company- Not sure what their salaries are but they deserve a raise regardless! ? Thanks for the great service and prompt response time! I couldn't believe you all got here within 20 minutes of my call!
The coordinator was quick and professional, very helpful. The driver was very professional, capable, and courteous. My needs were met promptly and efficiently after calling several tow companies that were unavailable.
Service came before it was expected.
The young man who took care of our vehicle was very kind and respectful to us and handled our car with care. He was extremely gentlemanly, even carried my chicken feed to my daughters car for me. He was such a fine young man!!

I have used Joe Ballor towing before. I pre scheduled a pickup of my car the day before. The driver arrived on time and was very courteous. He was well prepared and had all of my information ready. In a matter of minutes my car was loaded and on the way to the shop for service. Thanks Joe Ballor.
The driver was excellent! He tried to jump my battery, but the vehicle had to be towed to Belle Tire instead. It is good to know that there are some good people who try to assist customers. Thank you.
Arrived before scheduled time...Driver was very friendly, and took care in loading my sons car on and off his truck once it arrived at the repair shop. Although I knew my issues with my sons car, he asked questions before loading, which I thought was great. Almost like he cared to help if he could.... (who DOES that now a days?!) Great service all-around! From dispatch to towing, they did a great job. Ernie was my tow trucker and he was really personable, knowledgeable about my situation, and helpful with suggestions/guidance. Hopefully don’t need a towing company often, but when I do, I know who to call!
Called roadside assistance and they sent over Joe Ballor to change my flat tire. They were here fast, changed the tire fast, and even showed me how to do it myself next time. Amazing service! Thank you!
They arrived quickly. By the time they knocked on the door the portable was hooked up, because I left the hood up. I went out and turned the key and it started. The driver noted it looked like the housing for the alternator was cracked. The battery was only six weeks old. I still needed to go and have a complete electrical check done on the vehicle. I appreciated the prompt service.
Fantastic people, great service. Would highly recommend to anyone. Took a bit to get out to me when I was 2 miles away stranded, however, I blame the insurance roadside assistance. They were given the incorrect location as to where I was.? Driver was professional and friendly. Took car of my vehicle, and got me where I needed to be.
The driver was great. He was friendly and arrived fast. This is the third time I’ve used them and each time was a positive experience. Would definitely use them again.
I wouldn’t recommend this company. Very poor customer service. I called to get my truck winched out of a ditch and i was told I’d receive a call back in about an hour. After waiting for 2 1/2 hours i finally called again only to find out that they took my information down incorrectly and i had been waiting for no reason. After correcting my information and getting numerous apologies and personal guarantees from the dispatcher i was told that i would be moved to the top of their board. Once again they failed to contact me or show up. Luckily i have two vehicles or i would have been in a lot of trouble. Had to leave my vehicle in the ditch overnight and in to the next day before calling another company to get the job done. In total i spent about 5 hours waiting for this company before i gave up. The next day the new company had me out within 1 hour from the first phone call. I’d advise everyone to look elsewhere as there are better and more reliable options out there
