Sean and Matt are true professionals. Scheduling was easy, my repairs were completed when promised and came in at their estimated cost.
Places like this are very hard to come by and their communication is straight forward.
If you like to text back and forth all day and get upsold on things your car doesn’t really need, feel free to go to a dealership;)

This place is AWESOME. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices were more than reasonable! They were able to squeeze me in same day for a break line repair, and they were fast and efficient. I HIGHLY recommend this place!
By far the best auto repair place I've ever worked with. They have been upfront and honest with me every time I've taken my vehicle there. Never once have I felt like I was being over charged or asked to have unnecessary work done. I wish more business were run like Cascade Hills Auto & Towing.
10/10- Sean and team have been wonderful to work with- I took my car in for an oil change and overall look at the suspension system and brakes- Sean kept me informed about what would be needed and the price was very reasonable, the turnaround time was great and I was pleased with the work. When my car started to have issues with the key starting in the ignition I was able to work with the Sean again and he went above and beyond. The staff is knowledgeable and kind and I have been pleased with all the work that has been done. I will happily choose to come here over other mechanics in the area for the quality, expertise and overall care. Thanks again Sean!
Really disappointed with this place, have taken my car here on more than one occasion and have always had a good experience up until my previous time. Long story short brought it in because of possible electric issue wasn’t too sure just wouldn’t start. Got it towed there and first weird thing was they “forgot” about my appointment I guess I don’t exactly know and they didn’t start working on my car until a week after it had already been there. I let that slide and the next week they said it was ready and was an easy fix. So brought it home and within the next day would not start again and there was a new clicking noise, so I get it towed again. They let me know they thought it was electrical and they start trying to diagnose it and a week later told me they couldn’t figure it out because they do not specialize in electrical. So I get it towed to another shop and they put a new a battery in it and that was the only issue… so I spent over $400 (not including tow) here for them to “diagnose” the electrical problem when I simply just needed a new battery. Feel very gypped.
I was in Grand Rapids for a conference when a low brake fluid message came on in my car. Not wanting to drive 70 miles home with that threat hanging over me, I started looking for a mechanic close to the hotel where I was staying. The reviews for Cascade Hills Auto & Towing were so positive I decided to call them. They opened at 7 am, which was another bonus. I talked to Matt, he told me to bring it over. In less than 15 minutes he knew what the problem was. They gave me a ride back to the conference center, ordered the parts I needed and within four hours my car was ready to go at a cost less than what they quoted me. This place was clean, both Sean and Matt treated me with respect and instilled confidence that they were not taking advantage of me. I wish they were in Lansing because Cascade Hills Auto & Towing would be where I would always take my car for service!
My vehicle made a loud and deep noise when accelerating. They did a free checking for me; They found the air filter that I installed was wrong, which led to the noise problem.
Cascade Hills Auto & Towing fixed the filter problem for me. Everything was free. They are honest and nice!

Hi -- not just auto repair but CAR CARE. Sean and his mechanics did a great job on our Buick Enclave. Communication regarding "when, why and how" was very, very good. They are a smaller shop so repairs may take an extra day - maybe. Worth the wait. Make an appt. to avoid delays. We are very satisfied. Great job.
Above and Beyond... I accidently towed my car to the wrong shop. They politely called me and asked about my car. I realized I had it towed to the wrong place. I went to retrieve my car and they helped me so I didn't have to get my car towed their. They helped pop my clutch in the pouring rain so I could be on my way.
Be careful. There's a new owner. He charged us 33% ($137) more (parts only) for the same exact batteries than the local Chevy dealership. Another local GMC dealership installs the main battery (parts & labor) for $20 less than what he charged us for just the battery, no labor. (The car runs off of a main battery and an auxiliary battery.)
He tried to justify it by repeating the line that his labor is less expensive. Yeah.
And worse he did it to my son who's a 21 year old college student.
Prices are excellent and service is even better. I've recommended this place to several friends who also use it. Great to work with! I will be bringing my car here as long as I am in Grand Rapids.
Everyone who works here is incredibly kind and helpful. They do a great job of explaining the problem and what needs to be fixed (from someone who knows nothing about cars). I have taken my car here several times, and they always go above and beyond to do a great job and lower costs when they are able to. I moved out of state, and I will still come get work done here if I am in town because they’re that great!
I had forgotten about Cascade Hills Auto & Towing being just around the corner. Had a noise issue to be diagnosed and they found it right away. Sean is very personable and I felt comfortable giving CHAT my business. Fair pricing, good recommendations and communication.
I knew it was time for rear brakes on our 2012 Volvo and the grinding sound confirmed it. Our Volvo dealer coulld get us in four weeks out. I called Cascade Auto and they said bring it in around 1pm the same day. Two hours later I was driving home. Amazing service. Thank you Cascade Auto & Towing.
I needed my Toyota fitted with all new brakes. When I called, the gentleman that answered the phone (which how often do you hear a human instead of a computer generated voice) and was so helpful. He scheduled me within a week and when I dropped my car off, was given a lift home by one of the mechanics (Andy). Later in the day, I received a phone call with the estimate and when I picked my car up, again such friendly and courteous people. I HIGHLY recommend them. They offer fabulous customer service and outstanding rates. Great job!
Locked my keys in my car and gave them a call as they were the closest place that popped up in my maps when I searched for someone. They came out within 10 minutes and got my car unlocked within 30 seconds. Guy was super nice and helpful. Got me out of a bind quick. Excellent service.
Mark and Andy at this place truly are the best. This is the first place I go to for any car-related repairs or questions due to each visit being a very positive experience.
I have a very sporadic work schedule as well as an hour-long commute daily, so it makes it hard for me to schedule appointments that fit my availability, especially when and if I have an unexpected issue occur while on the road.
These guys are always willing to try to look at my car issue if they have time in between appointments and possibly fix it as well that day (depending on the type of job you need done and their availability). Not to mention they are the most honest car technicians I’ve encountered in GR area and will tell you what needs to be repaired now/ASAP and what can wait for now - with no pressure to do it all that day. 10/10 would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Mark took great care of my vehicle after I became injured and couldn't complete the repair on my own. He also identified a brake issue and suspension issue that Fox Ford missed the last time I had it in. I'd definitely recommend and will be sticking with Cascade Hills for all my future repairs.
I had a great experience when I brought in my car. They were able to get it fixed and let me know there is another issue but did not press me to fix it, in fact unlike a lot of places, they let me know it could wait since I could not afford to fix it as well. They were also able to get my car done sooner than I was originally told.
Fast, friendly, thorough; and extremely reasonable prices.
This place is my new go to for anything related to cars. They were able to fix my car after towing it there due to a broken main... something. It was an electrical component, and they explained it very thoroughly but also in an easy to understand way (I just forgot what it was called, haha). Andy kept in touch with regular check ins daily, and they had such a sense of urgency despite that I told them there wasn’t a rush on it.
The prices were beyond reasonable, I think I added on an oil change for 27 and new wiper blades for 16. I almost felt bad because it seemed so cheap compared to what I was used to.
Anyways. I can’t recommend them enough!!
Fantastic, quick service at an amazing price! Communication was also great; they're available by phone and email (which they responded to very quickly!). They'll tell you the exact price (including tax) up front, and if they find anything additional during inspection they create a list of what NEEDS to be done versus what could be done. They also give reasons for the distinction between needs and coulds, and give prices for those things up front as well. All together, I got three things fixed on my car for about $150 cheaper than I would have paid for just the one at another mechanic. I will definitely be coming back should my car ever have issues again!
Honest work. I had to get my car towed here because my regular mechanic was too far to be covered by my insurance. I’m glad this is where I was told to go. They took care of my vehicle within 48 hours, they were price fair and did quality work. I would recommend if you’re in the area.
I have been to Cascade Hill Auto a couple times now! The 1st experience was awesome. They repaired a noise in my brakes that I questions w/other mechanics never was resolved until I found Cascade Hill. I was pleased w/price & outcome! I returned for a repair I was quoted over $500, Cascade Hill repaired just over $300. I appreciate an honest mechanic & will return again just hope not soon lol. Best auto shop I've ever gone to. They got me in promptly, fixed my car right away, for a price that was actually reasonable, and let me know of one other repair that should be done soon (which they also quoted a very reasonable price for), and didn't try to push unnecessary repairs on me. They were honest, efficient, and my car is now running like it did when I first bought it.
I wish I could give these guys more stars! The best auto repair experience I've had. WHOLESOME HONEST folks who charge REASONABLE PRICES. They were straight up with letting me know the actual issues of my car and did not try to give me a long list of other things to fix or trying to tally over thousands of dollars like how I've experienced at any other shop I've take my car. Such a pleasant relief I found these guys!!
They got my car in quick, they called me back promptly letting me know what they found with the estimate, and had it fixed the same day. I'm all for supporting mom &a pop shops. Will definitely be taking my car back here for any future repair needs :)
I have been taking my cars there for 6 years now. Always reasonable, never a surprise, and are honest about what COULD be done vs what NEEDS to be done. They are great! I wish they took Amex so I could get my miles! If they did I would give them six stars! ;-)

Our car broke down leaving Michigan Adventures and we had it towed to Cascade Auto, leaving it there at 1am in the morning.
I talked to them in the morning and they quickly took a look at it. It was the alternator and they thought it be done by noon. By 10:30 they call me to tell me the car was done! The price was very reasonable and the staff very friendly.
To top it off, I noticed that the steering wheel that had been pointing to 10 while driving straight now lined up with the road! Bonus points!
Great service all around. If I lived closer (we live 4 hours away) I would take my cars here every time.
