From the moment I put my inquiry in to the moment my vehicle rolled onto the bed of the tow truck I had a fantastic experience. Ron communicated well, set clear expectations, and was honest and timely. I had another offer come in that was $25 more than Flowers Automotive was offering, but the experience I was getting was horrible and not worth the little bit more money. Hands down, if you need to recycle a vehicle, you MUST give Flowers Automotive Recyclers a chance. You won’t be disappointed.
Excellent customer service and fast service. Texted last night to set up an appointment for 9am today. Quoted highest quote and was fair, and paid what he quoted. He did call to say he was running 15 min late, and showed up when he said he would. He looked at the car, had me sign the title, handed cash and said he'd be back in an hr to pick it up because he had to unload the one on his trailer. He was polite and honest from start to finish. Would definitely use them again.
Had scheduled pick up for a vehicle but was told driver was running late. So they rescheduled for next day yet upon that day, No one came there was no courtesy call or reschedule made. when inquiry message was sent. Response was “let me get a hold of driver. He should’ve been there.” That is the last message received and no follow up was attempted from them. No one showed. Will be contacting BBB.

I am looking forward to using this company based on just one employee and his dedication to do a good job. I recently found myself in a bad situation and this gentleman encouraged me to use their service to trade my vehicle in, unfortunately that deal did not pan out for circumstances out of their control, however the nice gentleman went above and beyond by offering to keep me updated and to check on my fur babies while I was away. He talked very highly of their company, obviously loves his job and is a great asset to their team. I’m looking forward to using this company for my next vehicle transaction.
Do NOT use Flowers for anything. They quoted $150 to pick up a shell (I clearly expressed exactly what they were getting). They confirmed the quote with a scheduled pickup time the following day. When they were 30 mins late for the pickup I called and they said they were confirming ETA with the driver. When I called 45 mins later (they never called me back and it was now 75 mins late on the scheduled pickup time) they said they would only pay $100. The driver arrived 30 mins later with a trailer rather than a flatbed wrecker (to pick up a shell off the ground). The driver did what he could to drag the shell onto the trailer and ended up breaking a winch cable which in turn shattered his back window across my driveway, sidewalk, and front yard. I then had to spend over 30 mins cleaning glass from my yard. I contacted management at Flowers to offer the opportunity to be professional and remedy the issue (all I asked was that they pay the originally quoted price) and was told that since they now have to replace his window they are unwilling to pay anything more for the car and the work and time spent cleaning up the mess made. This is the second time I've had them pay less than quoted and arrive late for a pickup time. Management was incredibly unprofessional when presented with an issue AND offered a reasonable resolution. A lot of things went wrong with this transaction and they had no interest in being professional when it came time to make it right. I had one bad experience l, gave them a second chance, and then gave them a reasonable opportunity to make it right and they were anything but professional. I will NEVER use Flowers again and would recommend anyone else avoid them as well.
Over 2 hours late to pick up a junk vehicle and couldn’t get a legitimate update in regards to arrival time. Kept being strung along.
I understand things come up and appointments sometimes need to be delayed or even rescheduled but communicate that honestly so your customer can plan accordingly instead of stringing them along with “oh it will be 15 minutes,” oh “it will be no more than 20 minutes now” and then ultimately making them wait for OVER 2 hours. If someone has just been honest and rescheduled me, we wouldn’t have had a problem.
We love supporting local businesses so hate saying not to use this business but their lack of respect for my time and lack of communication makes me say just proceed with caution.
On a positive note, the driver was professional and kind upon arrival. They paid the previously agreed upon amount which I felt was fair for the junked car with some decent scrap on it (new tires, brakes etc.) so execution of the transaction was good, it’s just the getting there that was rough.
I called Flowers to pick up my old car for disposal. The man on the phone set up a time the next day and gave me a price. He did not show up at the appointment time THAT HE SUGGESTED and did not call or message me either. I re-scheduled a meeting to be at home for the transaction! How rude and unprofessional! Do not use this business.
Went to scrap my catalytic converter off my car whoever was supposed to be running the office and taking care of that stuff was over an hour late if not longer getting there he was never there by the time I took off but a young dude came they were all very personal easy to approach and talk to but he took a quick look at my converter and said it was aftermarket, but couldn't give a good reason why he thought it was.I'm sorry I do not believe that. The exhaust is never been replaced on this car.. I work within the auto industry and everything I looked at and all the mechanics at my shop all said minimal $60 max $200. Guy comes back with paperwork and offers me $5. I never expected the $200 but I was running on gas fumes and funds are really tight. If I wasn't so desperate I would have turned it down, but without that $5 I would have never made it home. So I guess thanks for the $5 in gas for a converter. But the employees were all super nice. Seems like really awesome people I just feel like I fell through the cracks
Shady people! Offered me $400 for my car, picked it up put it on the trailer, paid me then said "actually we need $150 of that back or the police will e involved" then threatened to fight me if I didn't pay him, due to issues with the car they knew about previous to picking up the car.
Watched one of the drivers (today) hit a parked car in a full section of a parking lot, drove off and parked somewhere else. He was trying (repeatedly) to back a trailer in between two cars, don't know why he thought that was going to work out when the rest of the parking lot had plenty of open space. Called me all sorts of nasty names as I was getting license plate info. Will never do business with this company if that's the kind of employees they have.
Entire family is lazy trying to scam anyone they can. Spoke with the police department this morning about them that's how nasty they are to the city of Kalamazoo. If you guys want quality tires at a good price go to don York. Flowers pays $5 for scrap aluminum rims any scrap yard pays .80lb which is $20-25 per rim you can get. 9/10 of the feedback left on this page is fake and easily noticable as they all mention employees being wonderful but anyone who has ever been to this shady place knows they are jerks and don't even allow u in the yard as they think you are stealing tires inside your shirt and running out the front door with them. Try a place like don York's and you'll see such a difference on how you are treated and how much you are charged. Btw, don York's is open despite flowers shady son reporting it closed on Google.
Awesome place to go they got me a new tire put it on the rim for me and ended up selling them my old car that's been taking up space In my driveway and got a good deal.
I will likely never attempt business with them again.
I called ahead to see if they had rims I needed. I was told to text them a picture (even though I told them I didn't need to match styles). Getting any response on text took forever, and then didn't come to a resolution in the end. I called a couple days later, hoping to talk to someone else. I was told to text another picture (to a different number). The guy said that he had the rims I needed.
I showed up a little later that morning. That guy sends his kid out to find rims in a pretty unorganized area of stacked rims. They definitely didn't have the exact match that he made it sound like they had. I spent more than a half hour running back and forth with this kid, trying different rims. None of them fit (on a pretty typical vehicle). No one decided that it was important enough to come help the kid actually find what I needed so I left.
The only redeeming quality I can think of right now is that the kid was polite and tried to be helpful.
I had a cracked rim I had no idea what to do with. Someone told me to take it to Mr. Flowers and he'd buy it from me. He did indeed! I am a Kalamazoo native but I was sleep on this little spot! Mr. Flowers and his boys are some of the most polite businessmen I've met to date. No hassel, no complaints. Not only do they buy scrap rims they buy used cars (running and not) and will come pick it up! They sell tires as well as some parts. I have just learned about them, but trust I will continue to do business here. I'll call them first the next time I need somethingfor my car. #shoplocal
I had a junker car that had lots of recyclable parts. Mr. Flowers was the nicest guy to work with and gave me a very fair ammont of money for it. His philosophy was to treat people fairly. % A family business that makes you feel like family.
