These guys are stellar! Taken my car with over 200k miles there a couple of times. They genuinely care about people. Customer service is wonderful. I have really appreciated their work and their efforts. 10/10 cannot recommend higher. If you're looking for a consistent mechanic for your car, give them a call.
I took my Ram 3500 in for a front brake problem. The front brakes were hanging up and I suspected the brake hoses were bad. They were able to make the diagnosis and complete the repair the same day. Even came in slightly under the estimate. I will be using them again and highly recommend them.
Fortunate that I was directed to Sleemans! The work was top notch, the communication was excellent during the process and the price was the best. Its often prudent so get a second opinion, and I do not malign the dealership for the first estimate. They are expert and command the rates they charge. However that does not mean that the same work cannot be performed in expert fashion as Sleemans proves this. I have my next appointment already scheduled. Gordy was very easy to work with and I would feel safe in saying true of all who work there. Highly recommended!!

Took my car in for repair for front end noise. Paid $2,156.74 for repairs (?) . Drove car home with same problem. Called and took car back in. They inspected and said they would work the problem again for another $700.00. Why would I trust them again?
Great staff! They were a bit of a drive for me, but rushed to fix what our local (now previous) go-to shop botched and got us out of a pinch before a long trip. They graciously made time for some additional adjustments as well to ensure it was just the way we wanted!
If these guys were any closer, they’d be my go-to mechanic! My car broke down 2.5 hours away from home and they replaced the water pump in less than 48 hours, and communicated wonderfully the whole time! The poor guy even answered the questions I had after I got it home. They really helped salvage what joy was left for my little two day vacay. Thanks so much fellas!
Great staff. We’re waiting for me when I arrived for my appointment. Upfront about additional repairs that I needed on my car and willing to work with what I needed to do. I didn’t feeling like they were trying to take advantage of me because I don’t know a lot of car mechanics. Great communication with my tire change and very quick on they job they did! I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here!
Out of Options, I called these guys for a emergency tire repair. Two guys meet me at the BP gas station on the expressway at "D" ave and tried to help, but tire was DOA. I appreciate there willingness to come out hand look at the tire, and they were excellent in their analysis of the situation. I would use them again if I had the opportunity.

Had a air leak in 2 of my tires and they were able to get it in the shop the same day and fixed it fast. They showed me the debris that was in the tires also. Great customer service!

We have used Sleemans for years and they will always be our go to shop. When I had my car in for a tire rotation, then noticed my oil needed to be changed and offered to do that too even though I could tell it was a busy day. They've always been very respectful and I've always been confident bringing my car to them.
Took car in because car was overheating. Was told due to problem the head warped and needed another engine costing at least 4000.00. Called car mfg. and needed inspection by dealership to see if could be covered by them. Took car in and for less than 180.00 had sensor replaced. Have put over 5000 miles without any problems. Will not go there for any type of service again!

I've been a customer at Sleemans for almost 10 years. All the employees here consistently go the extra mile to make sure customers are satisfied. Anytime I have work that needs to be done on my car they can typically get me in right away, or within a few days if parts need to be ordered. If I have any problems on the road and pull up to Sleemans, someone will always come right out and take a look for me. They will even loan me a car when mine is going to take a whole day to be finished. Sleemans is trustworthy and hands down the best place to get services done in the area.
Trustworthy and fast service. Needed a new clutch on my Honda CRV, not a small job. They got it done well ahead of the estimated time, even handling some other items I decided I wanted taken care of 'while it was apart' that I suggested after they had started repairs. They even took care of a special request I had, repainting the front sub-frame, while it was out of the car. I do a lot of my own work, but this is my go-to place when I don't have the time or abilities to take care of it myself. My parents have gone to Sleemans for years as well, and they have always taken great care of them. Price was very fair as far as I'm concerned. Thanks Robert!
We have been getting our service done at Sleeman's for close to 20 years. We moved an hour away 3 years ago and now make the drive for all our service needs. It's worth every mile. I can't imagine getting any better service anywhere!
First things first - ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION WHEN IT COMES TO COSTLY CAR EXPENSES!! I debated on giving this a 2 star, because we were able to get in right away, so the convenience was good, but the rest was not. We decided to come here out of location and convenience, it's closer to our house. Our normal mechanic wasn't able to get us in right away and I thought, well, we already knew what one of the problems was, but just wanted to make sure there was nothing else wrong. And I didn't want to wait, I had stuff going on and it was more convenient to just do it as soon as possible. We were right, it was the wheel bearings. Told it would be $500 to fix. What we didn't expect was to hear another charge of almost $500 to fix the "other problem" - and that was to replace the control arm bushings. The problem we presented to them besides the wheel bearings "humming" noise, is that the car was also shaking at speeds of 60mph and more. We figured while they had it checking on the humming noise, they could find out what the other problem was. $1000 is a lot of money. We decided to NOT get it fixed here as we wanted to get a second opinion from our mechanic. $1000 is a lot of money and not to be taken lightly and worth the wait in my opinion. The wheel bearings we knew we could fix ourselves. Our mechanic test drove our car with us in it and right away said, it needs to be balanced. I didn't want him to know that we went behind his back to another mechanic, but my husband offered up "could it be the control arm bushings". Our mechanic said, no, it would make this noise and it would do this, etc. He said he would look at the wheel bearings job my husband did and check the control arm and bushings while he's at it. When we came to pick up our car, it was only $40. It just needed to balanced. The bearings were fine and the bushings were a little worn but NOTHING TO BE WORRIED ABOUT and they would NOT have caused the shaking. We took it out for a drive, on the highway and no shaking, no humming, car is fixed. One thing I will say that I am pleased with, is this experience has taught me to never go behind my mechanics back again. And if for some unknown reason I have to, GET A 2ND OPINION !!! I know the reviews on here are all excellent, But it's sad that we could have spent almost $500 on something that didn't need to be fixed.
The best auto service around the northern Kalamazoo area. They can fix anything and they are really fair on pricing. After 15 years of dependable service, I have complete faith in them. BONUS - They have loaner cars.
I stopped in here a week ago because my Jeep was making some noises. A service tech rode with me and listened, then put the Jeep up on a lift to see if he could find the problem. He showed me what was up, and after getting a diagnosis, nothing I had to do immediately, I was on my way, no charge. I am not from the area, so I went to a local shop this week, where they confirmed the diagnosis and did the work to repair it. I'm really grateful for the honesty and kindness I was shown at Sleeman's. I'll recommend them to folks in the Kalamazoo area!
Lowest labor rate I've seen in the Kalamazoo area. Helped me out when suspension went out on my truck (sadly sent off to its grave) and patient with my husband while working on his car (about to send that pile off on its way). Helpful, honest, and reasonable. Our new shop of choice. Loaner car (Never seen that at any other shop I'be been to in 10 years) available - when available - if you need it. Love these guys.
