If I could put less stars I would. I took my vehicle to Peninsula Auto in hopes of them properly repairing my vehicle which they failed to do. I explained the issue but they neglected to properly diagnose and repair. I brought it back a second time, what they "repaired" and "replaced" failed within the week and they allegedly "redid" the work yet again Fixing not replacing parts. They then sent me on to another shop saying thea it was transmission. Thanks to NORTHERN DRIVELINE who said it WAS NOT THE TRANSMISSION. They referred me to a shop who has since properly repaired my vehicle. Northern drive line referred me to LAKESIDE AUTO great work guys. I went into peninsula auto and explained how disappointing my experience was and all I received lip service. Had I brought it in a third time they "would have" been able to fix it.
I am extremely pleased with the service I received! I brought my baby focus to have the K-frame replaced,sway bar links an a brake bleed done an now my car drives like a brand new car! The crew was very courteous an explained the work being done an the price was amazing...they're also very prompt I brought my car in an it was done the SAME day! Highly recommended ?
I broke down north of there. Was able to maybe my vehicle back in. But I could not make it to the garage. My vehicle was picked up and was tow there.
The people at this shop were so courteous to me. Maybe because I was out of town and got me out of there quicker than I could imagine. I was told by some other people that would cost me an excess of $600. They came in at $364. I couldn't have been more happier with their work for what they did. They showed me my broken parts. They were amazed I was able to make it back as far as I did. If I or you ever break down in that area get a hold of them you will not be sorry. One day I hope to get back up there just to say hi to them. And thank them for the courtesy and wonderful work. and I'm sorry I can only give them five stars they deserve 10!

We were in the Keweenaw for the week and a sway bar bracket broke on my car. They ordered the part and got me in the next day for the repair. Very friendly and I would absolutely take my car there again if I didn’t live 9 hours away.

Excellent experience, brought 2 vehicles to them recently on 2 different occasions. Been to so many of the other shops in Houghton/Laurium and had bad experiences. Very happy with the service from this shop, will be returning when something else breaks!
Great people I've known for a few years now, they haven't disappointed me with their work either. Just like another shop I gave a review on. These guys are well experienced mechanics also. They do get busy from time to time but that's because they are really good at what they do and everyone wants to have repairs done by the best right? So if you do have to wait to get work done here you will be glad you waited for such awesome mechanics to do the work.
We cracked our oil pan on a rock while off roading and came to their shop unannounced. They were able to help us and get us back on the road in 3 hours. Amazing service, great price, and great people!!!
