I pull up at 3:50pm on a Monday. And the gate too the scales is chained and locked. Yet ppl in machines working and the lady at the window waves me away. Horrible business procedures. They do as they want. Policies dont mean nothing to the employees at this location!!
The facility is orderly in all respects. Personnel are very welcoming. The woman who processed my scrap metal has the most amazing personality. It was a pure pleasure in dealing with her. Thank you for the great service.
Website says they are open until 4:30 pm. Pulled up at 4:15 which is plenty of time to hit the scale, unload a few scrap appliances, grab a check and be on my way before the posted hours/closing time. The scale was already gated and closed and three workers were still there. Two guys with hi-viz vests and the girl that weighs the vehicle and cuts the check. Was told they actually close at 4 and the system to "pay out" shuts down at 4:15. I talked to one of the guys and said the hours posted were until 4:30 and I work 5a-5-p the next 7 in a row. He mentioned calling the main office. If you're not going to allow people to do business at your facility during hours that are posted; at least change the posted hours to when people can no longer utilize the business , rather than allowing them to waste time loading a truck, driving there, and then unloading the truck at home again because youre lazy and don't want to change the website or just don't want to work until the closing time.
We have brought metal here a few times and due to the policies had to wait for a check to be mailed for the copper. We received one check but never received the first one for $250. When we called to let them know, they said we had to have our original receipt from over a month ago to prove it even though they took down my husband's information and driver's license when he turned it in. I admit, I should have kept my records/receipt but I would think a larger business would have a better way of keeping logs of their checks going out to customers.
Only sharing so that they can improve or you can choose to take your business elsewhere so this doesn't happen to you.
I don't appreciate being stolen from, because of someone else's mistakes.
