When you are far from home and your vehicle (transport and where you sleep at night for me at the time) breaking down in the side of the road is very stressful. Thankfully I found Gene’s towing. They were very professional and nice people. They towed my Class B RV from Escanaba, MI to Green Bay, WI, to a dealer that can work on it. Price was a little better than what I was expecting and they arrived promptly. Thank you!
Stopped in. Was told the mechanics were all out on calls...he referred me to another shop who hooked me up. It's great to see local competitors work together with referrals to help their customers.
Driver was there in ten minutes. He was unable to break the lug nuts loose but assisted us with getting a fast tow to garage to repair the flat. Truck was there I. Another 10 minutes. They even recommended a place to get the tire repaired. They were awesome guys. Friendly and profession

Most amazing Company! We were in the middle of a trip to Return our Leader Dog in training to Michigan in the am. It was a Friday evening at 6pm, we stopped for gas, and car wouldnt start. We called for a tow.
Driver Randy arrived to see if he could get it started. No luck! We asked for a recommendation of a shop that could help us first thing in the morning, because we needed to be in Rochester Hills Michigan to return the puppy the next day.
Randy indicated, shops probably won't reopen till Monday. In tears we asked about hotels that accept dogs and car rental options.
He said he'd take the car to his shop and take a look. It was the starter. He picked up a starter and installed it for us. We were on our way again in just a short time.
Driver Randy, deserves Citizen of the Year Award!!" Bless him!!! We will never forget this act of kindness.

Great folks, they take you to the right Truck and Trailer repair shop. I blew a turbo and they asked me where to take it to. I said you guys know who's who here and know who can get it done right and sooner than later. Sho-nuff they took Truck to 10-Four Semi Truck Repair in Escanaba had it done the next day when they received the new one. Thank You Gene's Towing.
A huge shoutout and kudos to Eli from Gene’s Towing and Recovery of Escanaba Michigan!! We were waiting for AAA to send someone for 1.5 hours. We decided to take matters into our own hands and cold called Gene’s Towing and Recovery who showed up in 10 minutes. Eli was able to get our keys out of the locked door. I still am waiting for a call from AAA to send someone out to us about 3 hours ago.

Exceptional service. Blew out bearing on boat trailer. Call Gene’s Towing Service. 15 minutes later they arrived and 15 minutes after that, boat and trailer were being transported to a repair shop. Thank you to the driver Randy!
While on my way to Harbor Springs, MI my car broke down in Escanaba, MI…about 175 miles short of my destination. Since it was the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, the local shops were closed until Tuesday, so I decided to have the car towed to my destination. The driver, Eli, showed up pretty quickly, got my car safely and securely loaded, and off we went. Eli was polite and courteous and we had a nice conversation during the 3 hour drive.
Eli moved my truck on what was a very long tow, he was both friendly and professional and is pretty much the only reason I wrote this review. He went out of his way to be helpful when he was not asked, and seems to be an example of the quality of folks Gene's towing employees.
My van was stuck in a ditch on the side of the road. I called genes towing to have it pulled out the tow truck driver was there less than 30 minutes and charged me 350 dollars. Next thing you know a state police officer pulled up. He gave me a ticket. Stated clearly on the ticket from the police officer they were contacted by Geans, towing them selves I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.
I have to give Gene's Towing and recovery a 100%. I locked my keys in the car and called them for help. In seconds I had a call from Eli telling me that he was on his way and it took no time at all for him to get to me. He was very curteous and understanding and very professional. I would advise anyone needing car unlocked, towed, battery trouble to give them a call. I will definitely use them again if need being.

I was recently traveling home from vacation from MI back to IL and my car broke down. Darrin went out of his way to reassure me that he would come as quickly as possible and made me feel important as a customer. He was friendly and professional. He went out of his way to help me get to an auto parts store and get a new serpentine belt put into my car since it was a Sunday and a holiday weekend. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am for his caring and kindness!
It was a Saturday night breakdown. The driver arrived promptly and was professional and helpful. The car was towed 60 miles to my Southside Auto in Marquette, MI. I would definitely recommend Gene's Towing

Genes towing is an outstanding place! They are good at what they do. I recently had my vehicle towed for no apparent reason and still cannot find anything wrong with their service! I could never fault them for doing their job! The tow truck driver was very cool and explained the situation! Overall I have used genes towing for everything to a flat tire! Justin was my driver when I broke down in Rapid River. He was very quick to get to me and made the whole process much easier. Breaking down is not fun for anyone, however Justin was the best rescue person I've ever dealt with. I got into a very nice and clean truck. He drove me all the way to Negaunee. He was very kind and pleasant to talk to during the drive. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GENES! They were also hundreds cheaper than JV towing, ( JV is not even an actual place. They charge you more then send a local company anyway) I will always recommend Genes. They also have a huge yard to purchase used parts as well. Justin you did great bud, thank you so much!!! Called on Labor day. Lost the water pump on my 2012 Dodge about 35 miles out of Escanaba. They towed it back to their shop and replaced the pump and belt. Have me some extra coolant to top it off with. Great service at a very fare price. I was up and running about 4 hours after my initial call. Wonderful experience.
We had trouble with our A/C on our 2005 Chevy Tahoe which took them a day to fix. Unfortunately the next day it was not working. When we called back they were apologetic and had us bring it right back, after some investigation they discovered a failed coupling. Everyone was very friendly and bent over backwards to do everything they could do to help fix our issues. They have a great office staff as well, thank you ladies for being so sweet and kind!!!

I got my beater truck stuck on the riverbank and a dually 1 ton couldn't budge me. Gene's came out and had to go through some gnarly mud to get to me, pulled me out but got stuck on their way out. They had another wrecker come pull them out. Thought the bill was gonna be HUGE but I was wrong. They're the only ones I'll call in the rare chance I get stuck again.
