Driving through the area on I-75 and noticed my trailer tires were low. I called Main Street and they welcomed me to stop by and get my air checked. They had me in and out in 5 minutes and everyone was so polite!! Thank you!!!!
Until recently Ive had no issues. But the last two times.... Got tires and the wheel weights flew off after only a week. I let that go. But most recently I got tires mounted and balanced and every morning since ive had 1 or 2 wheels sitting on the rim. They're leaking from around the bead and they say they won't help me unless I make ANOTHER appointment because they are busy. Terrible customer service towards someone who's already paid and already took time out of their schedule to get this done. In my opinion if a customer has already paid and the job isn't done everybody else can wait. Finish the job you're payed to do before you move on to the next one.
Went there for brake pads, was told I needed pads, rotors and calipers. Found a retired mechanic to do the work instead and he found that none of the tires had even been removed and calipers and rotors did not need to be replaced. Will never come back again. Try Dan’s or Pollard’s as alternate choices- Beware of these guys!
I lost my AC a few days ago during the hottest day of the year. I brought the truck in and they were able to repair it within one day! They also gave me a ride to/from my campground. The service was great, the repair solid, and the repair cost was fair. It was also completed very quickly. I highly recommend them!
I can not say enough wonderful things about Mandy and the guys at this place!!! They went above and beyond for us! I would highly recommend. I would give more stars if I could!
Don't go here! They just misdiagnosed my friends vehicle for a complete tune up for approximately $600.00. Took her money, an now tell her to go to transmission place, it's not what they said they could fix. Not the first time, people need to know, that indian river will not put up with being ripped off because you have a big shop, over priced, and unsuspecting tourists that don't know any better! Beware!
We were stranded on the highway and Mandy was our hero! They got us fixed as fast as possible, went above and beyond to find the parts, and even shuttled us around because we were desperate. Could not recommend more highly!
My 2012 Honda element required a new radiator along with an unknown extremely loud muffler noise,so with confidence I pulled up to the repair shop without a appointment on Wednesday afternoon so they could listen to the engine and diagnose the problem with the noise and within 5 minutes I was driving home with a scheduled appointment for Friday 8am, I've trusted this repair shop with several of my other vehicles over the past 13 years they fix it right the first time and have saved me so much time and money eliminating the aggravation that I have experienced with other repairs shops caused me when they fixed something that wasn't broken only to discover the unrepaired problem still exists. These guys at Indian River take pride in their work offering personal consultations with mechanic and customer, no hidden fees no surprises when they hand you the Bill.
I figured the muffler was going to cost the most and I was shocked when I picked up my car a few hours later everything was repaired the muffler was under 25 dollars the radiator replacement fluids and labor 600 wow WOW that was a incredible savings, anyone who needs a break from the unexpected auto repair expenses definitely should rethink who they are currently using to repair their vehicles and give indian River auto repair a shout
We were camping when the fuel pump went out in our truck. Mandy was AMAZING! She picked up my husband and then took us both back to our camp until they finished the truck. Amazing!
Had an Issue with my jeep and its brakes tried fixing it and took it here on the weekend. They took me right in and had it taken care of very quickly. They could’ve charged me much more but were fair with cost to the point that I have them extra money for getting it done so quickly. I would definitely recommend them for service.
I’m on vacation and I ran something over and blew out a tire. I brought the tire in, they patched and mounted it for me very quickly. They were extremely kind and polite and I couldn’t believe the price. I can’t recommend them enough! Thank you so much for making what could’ve been a stressful situation very easy.
Went out of their way to fit us in from a call-in down the street. Patched our tire from a nail we got while traveling around during camping. Huge stress reliever so we could get on and enjoy the vacation. Thank you!
We were camping at Burt Lake State Park for Memorial Day when my truck started acting up. As we got back into the truck to head back to the state park from downtown, I noticed a few people working on a car at MSA. I asked them if they were willing to help me narrow my issue down and they went COMPLETELY above and BEYONED! Instead of leaving us stranded 3 hours away from home, They dropped us off at our campsite, ran around to get the parts I needed, & returned my truck to us at the state park. All of this on the Saturday of a holiday weekend. To say we were treated like family is a huge understatement. Shout out to Brandon & friends for literally treating us like we were their next of kin. There aren't many people like you guys left in this world ??
I thought my transmission was going out, but Brandon was sure it was a solenoid problem, he was right. I called him on Wednesday, had it towed on Thursday night and he had it diagnosed and fixed along with swapping my tires and topping fluids by Friday afternoon. He and Mandy were both very friendly and helpful and the prices are very reasonable, I have definitely found my new mechanic.
They installed the exhaust on my Tahoe from the catalytic converter back. Yes, they quoted me time and material and it was over the estimate but the work was professional and they were professional. I would return for continued work
Heard a clunking noise while driving to the UP so I pulled off the highway and Main Street Automotive was the closest repair shop. They were super kind and took a look at my car. So thankful for their help, my lug nuts were dangerous loose! So grateful they were open and willing to help! Got everything tightened and go me quickly back on the road. Huge thank you to the Main Street Automotive Indian River team!!!
New tires on both our Dodge 4 wheel drive truck and Our 2007 Envoy also tie rod ends. Had a appointment for our envoy drove all the way from Vanderbilt, Michigan, twice for our appointments and they couldn’t get us in. But they never called us of that fact before we left. Then she “Mandy” round the price off to the shops benefit. Really!!!! What the Hell! Randy & Mindee Roberts We don’t recommend Them at all!!!!!!
Camping at Burt Lake. My alternator and battery were dead. Called them on Friday 7/15/22 about 2 hrs before they closed. They said they could get the parts but we're closed on Saturdays. I told them I was from Farmington Hills and was leaving that weekend. A awesome guy named Brandon said he would come in on Saturday to fix it. And he did an Amazing Job!!!! I highly recommend this place!!!!! Great staff and very helpful!!!!
Guess we will add to the list of “out of towners” getting help from Main Street Auto! Our car stopped accelerating, while towing our camper, with our kids in the car, called a Ford dealership and they said they could not help us, called Main Street Auto and right away they said they would help! Brandon and Mandy were amazing, Brandon got right to work on the car/ordering parts, while Mandy gave us some restaurant suggestions. Can not thank you enough, made a difficult situation better! Would definitely recommend Main Street for repairs.
We were passing through and had a wheel bearing go out. We had it towed there due to good reviews and tow truck reccomendation. They were able to get us in and fixed timely. Would be a 5 star review, but the price of parts were more than double what parts store told us they had in stock for my vehicle. I understand a mark-up and so on, but over 125% ($672 for a verified $300 bearing) seems excessive. Also, no estimate was requested or given, so maybe just do some better due diligece before simply moving forward would be advised. They were nice abd place was clean though.
Came in about 2:30 on a Friday afternoon for a slow leak in my tire. 15 minutes later they had diagnosed the issue as a screw in the tire and I was on my way with my tire fixed at a very reasonable price. Would recommend this shop to anyone!
Another story of saving an out of towner. We hit a curb while returning back to our cottage. The staff here is amazingly helpful and friendly! They didnt have the tires i needed but got them delivered, installed, and had me back on the road in the matter of a couple hours. 350 miles from home and they saved the day! Place is also super clean for a shop! Would highly recommend them.
We were from out of town with a bad wheel bearing.on my friends pickup. The service lady Mandy told us she could get us in when we got there. And she did just that. None of this, we can’t get you in till next Thursday. They replaced a wheel bearing and hub. And had us on the road in less then 2hrs. I highly recommend Main Street Auto **5 star service**
Easy to see why this place has 5 stars. I was traveling down I-75 on a holiday weekend, towing a camper 800 miles from home, and had a valve stem start leaking. The guys here fit me right in and had me back on the road in about 30 minutes. Fair prices, friendly service - highly recommended!

Great folks! Very helpful. They looked over my brother's Chevy van, which was having transmission problems, told us exactly what the problem likely was. My brother decided to take his chances and we got back on the highway heading south. We made it to just north of Wolverine when my brother's transmission completely failed. I ended up towing him off the exit and dropped his van at the Marathon/Schultz's Party Store. We should have listened to the guys at Indian River Auto!
Had some work done ran into a snafoo n they came n towed me on Christmas day. They are Men of their word they stand behind their work n reputation they stepped up fixed my truck within 2 days. They really are stand up guys men of their words. Kuddos n thank you for the speedy response
