Absolutely unbelievably great service! Had a dead Audi. Couldn't get a jump, wouldn't even crank. Needed a tow. Eli to the rescue! After bypassing lockout on shifter, got car into Neutral. No matter what was tried, couldn't get the steering wheel to unlock. (Yes, we tried every single YouTube video.) Eli used a command of physics that caused me envy. He relentlessly fixed angles, adjust chains and skid shoes, and carefully winched the car around a 90 degree turn. Not a scratch on the car! Did I mention it was freezing rain?? When you REALLY need Superman to come to the rescue, call Mass Ave Towing!

Donny doesn't not care about my car he lifted my car so recklessly. Totally unacceptable. Slow at response time waited almost 2 hours ! He smelled like alcohol this is so unsafe and unacceptable, I would totally not recommend them at all!!!

Can’t say enough great things about my experience with this company today/tonight! Pat, the owner, answered my calls promptly and was very kind, funny, and accommodating — on top of all that he gave me an *excellent* price for a tow from Malden to Lunenburg! The driver, Donny, was communicative en route, and personable once he got the car to its destination. I’ll never use another company if I ever need a tow again!

Dec 2024 My stepdaughter was in an accident in Medford Ma and was transported to South Medford Autobody shop. We decided to have the car repaired locally in CT and we called AAA (as we have AAA+) to have it transported. Mass Ave Towing LLC (MAT) towed our stepdaughter's car from South Medford, MA to Bristol, CT (124 miles, 2 hours one way). They told us they did not need our stepdaughter or us present when they came to tow the car which suited us fine (I highly recommend you be present when anyone tows your car... and take pictures!) Upon picking up her car the MAT dispatcher said they would be towing the car to their lot first for a few hours then leaving later that night for CT. According to the MAT owner, her car was towed once from Medford Autobody to the MAT tow lot and then departed for P&B Auto in Bristol, CT later that night. A few days later when the owner of P&B Auto called me to say they were ready to work on the car, they tried to drive the car and heard a scraping underneath. They put it on the lift and the rear axles were blown out along with the rear differential. The break points were clean and fresh thus indicating this was a very recent break. The damage he said indicated it was towed by a wrecker, not put on a flatbed (this is an AWD Kia). We called AAA and filed a claim. Mass Ave Towing ended up not taking responsibility claiming they had footage of placing the car on a flatbed, not transporting it with a tow truck. However, we were told they refused to turn that footage over unless subpoenaed. Why not help us out and supply that footage if it's not their fault? What do they have to hide? The South Medford autobody shop it was transported from said there was no damage to the rear axles or housing unit when they had possession of the car, and this damage was not included in their estimate for body repair. They provided pictures of the car as well. With the rear axle damage, the cost to repair now exceeded the value of the car. AAA called us to give an update on the claim status. MAT was claiming no responsibility yet wouldn’t provide the video footage of the pickup and delivery. If we wanted this evidence, we would have to sue them for damages. I would avoid companies who deal with AAA unless you are towing a few miles away. If you have AAA premium and want to tow it over 100 miles, I imagine a pissed off antagonistic employee who doesn't want to make a 4hr round trip might not be too happy about it. Jan 2025 Update: Mass Ave Towing owner Patrick contacted my wife after the above google post and said that after reviewing his footage, things did not add up on his end meaning the videos showed incongruous timestamps. We asked if he would send us the video footage and he stated he would, though he never did. He honorably put forth the offer to take care of the damages whereas he would pick the car up and tow it back to his garage to fix. In the end, our family thought it would be easier and have better peace of mind to have the car stay where it was. Patrick agreed to send a check for just the parts alone to the CT autobody shop and even called them to confirm. In the end, Patrick went back on his word and never sent the check making excuses like he was busy, or his secretary forgot. Regardless of what he found on the unshared footage; Patrick made sure to mention in a prior conversation that he did not have to pay for anything considering he was not found responsible. In other words, he wanted to do the right thing but decided against it bc he was under no legal obligation. I would be very wary if you decide to use this tow company... based on unprofessionalism alone, it turned out to be a very shady experience for us. Ed P

I was traveling from Boston and my engine light came on in Medford my car was overheating. I live in NH so I was panicking and I called AAA they said the wait could be around 3 hours. It was around 4:30PM on Tuesday. I was like frustrated but was waiting in my car when Mass Ave Towing pulled up like 15 minutes later. I was so overjoyed to see this young man. He was so incredible nice to me. He told me to get into his truck to stay warm. He got my car hooked up to his tow truck and we were on the way to NH. I found out during the drive his name is Angel..well his name fits him because that night he was my Angel. It was like a 2 hr drive we chatted and laughed all the way. I was not riding with my tow truck driver but with my friend it seemed. He brought me home right to my door and then safely brought my car to my garage. Again thank you so much for going above and beyond for me!!! Angel is the best he was kind to me and I made a new friend I feel!!! Thank you so much for your kindness towards me!!!!!

Highly recommend calling Mass Ave Towing llc for any road side assistance, they are the best! When I needed a tow in a bit of an emergency they were there for me with exceptional customer care. The owner was extremely helpful over the phone and gave me an accurate estimated arrival time of the technician which gave me peace of mind in the middle of such a stressful situation.

In November of last year, I was locked out of my car and called Mass Ave Towing for assistance. A young technician arrived and was extremely courteous. I stayed inside while he worked on my car due to the cold weather. After he finished, he informed me that he had both good and bad news: the door was unlocked, but he had cracked the window casing. He immediately felt remorseful and promised to inform his boss, which he did via text. I reassured him that it was okay and that I would discuss it with the owner. The owner texted me, offering to repair the damage. He requested photos and my VIN number, which I sent to both his phone and email. He promptly replied, "I will order the part and call you early next week." I thanked him and agreed to talk the following week. A month passed, and after checking in, the owner admitted he had forgotten. I expressed my desire to resolve the issue soon, and he assured me it would be handled the next week. After 30-45 days without a response to my texts and emails, I inquired at a local dealer about the part's cost, which was estimated at approximately $375 for the part and installation. Following further unresponded attempts to contact the owner, I decided to take legal action in April. The owner failed to appear on the court date, resulting in a judgment in my favor. The owner was given a reasonable timeframe to pay after receiving the judgment notice. 60 days later, with no payment made, I contacted an attorney, and now a demand for payment and the possibility of a citizen's arrest are being considered. I cannot recommend this company, not because of the service person, but due to the owner's failure to follow through on his commitment.

The kid William D brought my car to the wrong address and then tied to blame me for it. Confirmed the address with him several times, even verified in on the GPS before leaving. Called me to yell that it was the wrong address and I screwed up. Would have let it go if the kid just owned up to the mistake instead of trying to blame me for it. If you want your car going to the wrong place, then this is the place for you!

My family is on vacation and ran into an issue late last night. First one call I made was to mass ave towing. They had someone to us in 15 mins. They were amazing, kind, and even brought us back to our hotel 20 mins away! I am forever grateful! Thank you so much!!

Got a flat, needed a tow. Unfortunately, AAA communicated the destination address incorrectly to my Tow driver - he called me letting me know he was in the middle of Boston, and he wanted to double check before he dropped it off. We realized pretty quickly what happened, and even though he was 30 miles away from the actual destination, he took my car where it needed to go and was incredibly nice and understanding. He really went above and beyond to make sure my car ended up in the right spot - excellent tow company and I would request them again!

These guys SAVED me! After AAA giving me the run around for 2 and a half hours, I decided to call tow myself.. Super friendly, super helpful, asked if I needed a ride at no extra cost… I wasn’t at my car when they picked it up, but they called as soon as the car got dropped off. Exceptional Service!!

This has got to be the friendliest tow company around. I've met two of the drivers from here this week, (because my car is a pos) Don was great and joked around with me, he knew how to keep me in a good mood. Nate is the best. He has a strong work ethic and knows his job. I truly appreciate both of these guys. Any company would be lucky to have a crew like them

Absolutely spectacular service. We needed a tow for our (undriveable) car to a mechanic just barely down the road (less than a quarter mile away) and we were back home all finished less than an hour after I called! Everyone I spoke to was extremely sociable and understanding of our situation, and I'm very glad we didn't have to wait for AAA!

My car was caught in the flash floods in Leominster mass. The whole deal was a mess but I finally got a tow near 24 hours later ! ( AAA was a mess ) James A. Was amazing! James and Mass Ave Towing provide phenomenal and efficient service. When I was surprised to find myself stranded in a parking lot in Medford with a flat tire, James responded to help quickly. Once he had arrived my tire was changed and the damaged one was placed back into my car for me, and I was able to get back on the road within 10 minutes of arrival. Yesterday my SUV needed to be towed from Wilmington Mass to Nashua NH due to a failed alternator. James with Mass Ave Towing showed up to save the day! I was waiting on AAA to get me assistance. I guess James/Mass AV was the backup. He came through, got my car towed and delivered safely. Toyota is working on my vehicle today. What seemed like a nightmare yesterday when it was happening, James was able to put me at ease with his skill and timely/safe delivery to Toyota of Nashua NH. Thanks again!

I wanted to ensure everyone knew that this actually is a great towing company and I’d use them again anytime I could. Although I originally rated them with one star before I was able to actually talk to them as there was an issue with my original tow request and lack of communication with AAA, when I was able to reach the actual towing company AAA assigned to me, they were sincerely apologetic and explained although they had sent two different trucks out to get me, due to unexpected Towing issues with their truck and drivers, they were not able to come and tow my vehicle as originally thought. Any company that is sincerely apologetic and then take full responsibility for the unexpected problems that they had and then took care of the tow, as soon as possible, the way they normally do, is a great company, and ran by a very respectable owner(s) and operator(s). I had to ensure that everyone knows they deserve five stars and not the one star that I originally posted and needed to ensure it gets changed and updated immediately. Unexpected things happen to all of us and that’s why we needed a tow, so we have to be able to understand that although they are a towing company themselves, they too can run into unexpected problems… What I love about this company is they tried their best to take care of me originally as soon as they could but with the unexpected issues, the tow was delayed but then immediately resolved ASAP and took responsibility for the problem, etc. (something you cannot find with a lot of businesses now days). I would NEVER hesitate to use them in the future and recommend anyone to call and use them for any long distance towing, etc. I needed a tow from Rhode Island to Massachusetts and they did an excellent job and came out to take care of towing the vehicle as soon as they were able to.

Jean was awesome and kept in contact all night. Another tow company said they were unable to get the flatbed in my driveway. Jean backed right in no problem, was extremely friendly and just a good dude. Def recommend Jean and Mass ave towing to anyone needing a tow!!

James was awesome! My friend and I were stranded 48 miles away from home with stuck calipers and smoking brakes. It was 1:00 on a Friday and getting home required driving through the sumner tunnel (during rush hour). AAA had a tough time finding anyone who wanted to make that trek. Then comes James with Mass Ave Towing. He arrived 30 minutes earlier than estimated and we were escorted home quickly and safely in a top of the line vehicle (I’m talking AC in the seats!!). Definitely recommend!!

I requested a tire change through my insurance road side assistance. The estimated wait time was 50-90 min. James arrived about 15min later. Way sooner than expected. He was very friendly and professional. He had my spare tire on in no time. He was awesome. It was a chilly and rainy night and he did his job with a smile! I hope all their employees are as great as James was. I definitely give this place a 5 stars!
