My family and I were once seasonal there many years ago, so we figured we would go for just a weekend. The day of , I get a phone call from the manager Glenn and tells me I am not allowed to go there because of what he heard about my family, which is all rumors. Maple Park has not changed at all the seasonal are all snobs. The Asst Manager Becky Rinauld is the only one that could have told the manager anything about me as she is one of the only seasonals left. STAY AWAY FROM THE DRAMA AND JUDGMENT. Their pond is so small it’s like a pee pond.

The majority of the campers are seasonal so it was a bit noisy over the weekend. Our site was fine. The showers were reasonably clean but the water flow was controlled by a push button. It would flow for 15 seconds then need to be pushed again. The laundry area was very clean. To use the washers/dryers you had to purchase tokens in the office. That was really inconvenient. The staff was so so, not that friendly. The location was great for us.

Great family campground! Swimming, fishing, obstacle course in the water for the kids. My grandsons love it!

I used to go here with my family as a kidand brought my.kids there but will nevwr go back. The staff is rude and when my family had to cancel due to beung sick with covid they would not refund me and basically wanted us to come even though we could have infected the park. This is not the place I grew up at. Very poorly run. I will not be going back.

I've been camping at MP for 20+ years when my kids were young. It was great back then. For the past couple of yrs I took my grandkids. It really is a fun, fantastic time. Lot's for the kids to do. Employees are always polite and knowledgeable. My only complaint is there was a VERY large group of ppl camping across from my campsite. They were so loud we were drowned out by their partying. They partied till 2 AM for the 3 nights I was there. I wish large groups like that had their own part of the park. We still had fun

The staff at this campground were incredible. That made it okay for the week. The campground itself needs some serious updates. The unpaved roads make it a dust bowl everywhere. If you are disabled, I would not recommend.. Lack of showers/bathrooms for the amount of sites was pretty shocking to me. 50 cents to take a shower. Pond is a urine pool mixed with beer, seaweed, and turtles. No internet which is okay but some of us like to put the game on outside while having a fire. Our site was for bigger rigs but it was small. Just a riggity picnic table and tiny fire ring and no grill. Quiet for amount of people nearby. No sewer hook ups. Finially, surrounded by cranberry bogs, woods, and a yucky pond prepare to get mauled by mosquitoes even with spray, candles, fire, yard guard, etc. Sorry folks, your workers are amazing but your campground needs a lot of work to get almost 200$ plus a night in a campground to get our hard earned dollars.

I’ve been going to Maple Park for over 45 years before these owners. 4 Generations in my family, I went as a child brought my son and now my grandkids and have to sadly say this year is our last. They have raised their prices so you can’t afford to go anymore. We paid $1480 for a cabin Mon-Fri Mon@3:00 and out Fri by 11:00 so you really only have Tue-We’d-Thursday, and they said they were giving me last years prices and because of a misunderstanding I will have to pay $1600 next year. Cancelled swimming and fishing Tues-Wed and opened up again Thursday late morning due to bacteria and was told no refunds won’t be going back

I just stayed at Maple Park for the first time . I have stayed at a lot of camp grounds. Through many years , we came in as a group of four families another family booked the camp sites . That being said when we first pulled our first impression was this is not going to be a good 4 days. We ended up having a great time and are thinking about booking a 2 week stay next summer . The pond was clean and the kids had a blast fishing , paddle boats , canoes, playing outside games . It was great to see them off technology and enjoying the fresh air and outside. For that reason alone I give this Campground a 5 star.

This was our first year staying at Maple Park, and unfortunately will also be our last. I’m not looking for five star accommodations from a campground, but our recent trip left much to be desired. Within an hour of being cleaned in the mornings, the bathrooms were filthy. With how many people are piled in next to each other, they definitely need to be cleaning the bathrooms more than once a day. On our last night, we experienced waking up in the middle of the night to a man yelling at security. This led to the cops being called, the man being tased twice and arrested. The whole ordeal took over 3 hours, and happened at the site right next to our tent with my sleeping toddler and 6 month old. Not only was it terrifying, there were headlights shining in our tent till nearly 5 in the morning. While I do understand that the campground is not responsible for what happened, I think that it was handled very poorly when we tried to address the issue with staff the next day. We were laughed at and brushed off by multiple people, and met with no sympathy. It is my understanding that this type of occurrence is quite common for this campground. I would not recommend anyone stay here, especially if you have little kids and value feeling safe while camping.

This was our third or fourth year at Maple Park. We have stayed in the same sites overlooking the beach, which was perfect in regards to location, each time and that is kind of where the upsides end. The bathrooms are often dirty, the sites are tiny and stacked on top of each other, obviously to cram as many sardines into the campground as possible. The showers are no longer ALL quarter -run, but the free ones operate on a button system to reduce water use. one of the showers i attempted to use this week was broken but the rest were all occupied, so I dealt. The real issue is where we are located. the staff refers to it as the Hilltop, but my group has renamed it degenerate row due to the yearly problems we have with other campers. From late night golf cart cruisers not respecting the quiet hours, to domestic disturbances, and this year the disturbance ended in a taser assisted arrest with five cruisers on scene. did I mention we all had young kids who thankfully slept through this? When discussing concerns with the staff it was clear that there are chronic issues with the campers in this area of the grounds, but there was no empathy for the campers that were disturbed. They also require every site to have a gate key for a $10 deposit and they doubled the reservation deposit. All in all the beautiful morning view of the beach is not enough to offset the cons and this will be our last year camping with Maple Park

BEWARE!! Our family (a group of 4 families) has given this campground chance after chance over the past 4 years. The restrooms are not kept clean, the sites are not clean upon arrival (large numbers of cigarette butts on site without fail), and very small close packed camp sites. The final straw for our families was yet another disturbance during our camp stay-a belligerently drunk man yelling slurs and swears who was later arrested and tased twice by police. This was a TRAUMATIZING experience for our young children to have at 1am. The police, security and disturbance carried on until 4am. There was NO empathy given to our families and overall this is why we will not return. The staff we spoke with all gave us giggles and "oh well you're on hilltop so..." Not to mention we have kept the same sites for 4 years and each year there is a domestic disturbance which they failed to acknowledge. Understandably, the staff cannot control every person that enters the campground but guests should be treated with empathy and respect when these situations occur. Please be careful if you bring small children to this campground and camp on the "hilltop" area. Very scary.

Not good to horrible.|Front desk and website had wrong information. |No early check in….its a campsite. ||No one smiling except little store.||My daughter is 6 and we were looking forward to swimming to the raft. ||They let non paying camps into to swim (probably for and extra buck)||So my daughter almost drowned due to the older kids doing what they want.||Next day park water was shut down due to allergy.||We got the quickest no refund response via email though we never asked for it.||Asked to speak to a manager.||Not available.||Horrible.||Never go back.

They charged me 3 booking fees when I booked a site and 2 golf carts all during the same phone call and never made mention about even one. Then when I called they told me they couldn’t anything about them, that was their system they use. They woke us up at 7am the day of check out with loud trucks that stunk while they cleaned out porter potties 20 feet from our tent also made no mention that would be happening. Then they wouldn’t give us an extra hour to pack up unless we paid a visitor s fee of $300 even though our site was vacant that next night. Staff and management are very rude & disrespectful to the guests. We won’t be back! So sad they used to be a pleasant place to camp!

Really enjoyed this camp ground. Especially the pond. Was a little disappointed with the layout of the campground as you pretty much have to have a golf cart if you're on the far side of the campground. Most disappointing was the "fires out by midnight" rule. If there are responsible adults sitting by a fire quietly then there should be no issue with a late fire. After putting our fire out we walked by another site without a fire but they were extremely loud. Seems like priorities are backwards. Overall we would visit again.

I have been coming to this campground for about 10 years and I'm sad to say every year it gets worse and I wont be staying again to witness or deal with even worse treatment next year.|Where to begin.... For starters a week before our arrival date and after filling out all the online agreements and car info for all of our guests staying with us on a group site, I was called and hounded 3 times about filling out my guests car info which I had already filled out and received confirmation that it was received all 3 times as well. No apologies for their mistake in over looking/not looking in the right place! After checking in at 3pm we notice our group site had only 3 picnic tables to fit 25+ people and our neighboring group sites each had 5. I called the front office to ask for more tables to accommodate our group and she said she would send maintenance. Maintenance didn't come with extra tables until the evening of the next day. A family in our group had to leave the campground to go buy a folding table. |That same night of check in my guests were told they could not enter the park because they had no car tag made out for them nor did they have a group registered under my name. After no answers at the front desk I rushed to the front to find the staff leaving and my guests parked outside the gate. Luckily, I was able to catch the staff leaving who then told me she "forgot" to leave the car tags with the gate guard. Wooops!!! Again no apologies from rude staff, from the front office or the gate guard.|On our day of check out we were woken up at 7am by sewage stench and loud trucks cleaning out the porter potties just 20ft from our tents. I called to ask for a late check out, like an extra hour or two. I was told if I wanted to pay $300 that would be our visitors fee. I said that is outrageous, especially considering all the hassle we have had she put me on hold for about 5min only to come back with a price of $100. I asked if there was anyone staying on our site that evening and she told me no. I explained that I've been a guest of Maple Park Campground for 10yrs and we were always told there was no problem staying for the day even if there were gusts coming in that night they had a designated parking area so we could stay an enjoy the beach for that day. She then decided to say, "That's because you were never caught!" I said we have always been transparent with you, if not, I wouldn't be talking to you now. I've worked in hospitality for many years and I can't understand how one doesn't feel shameful for telling a guest they essentially tricked the campground for years and now we are "Cought" lol How disrespectful and disgraceful.|First off, after all they put us through during our disappointing and stressful camping trip here, after paying over $1600+ on a 3 night stay and 2 golf carts (which by the way, I was never told I would be charged (3) $5 booking fees even though I booked them all at the same time) the least they could do was give us an extra hour to pack on a site no one reserved for that Monday evening. Too bad you traded good management with friendly and welcoming staff for those that are rude, disrespectful and clearly hate their jobs. I bet these kids are paid in beans! So long Maple Park Campground!

Because I'm having eye surgery, we had to cancel our summer trip. All the other sites, including KOA, charged a $20 fee. Maple Park charged $50 even with a 30 day notice! That's just plain wrong!!

Campground is nice however the workers behind the desk are super rude. Went to look at sites and got nothing but attitude. Booked a site and got offered a refund after recent microburst (they were unsure when they would reopen) requested refund and forgot nothing but attitude from the woman who answered the phone. I would never go there again or recommend it to anyone after the attitudes from the desk workers.

Longtime Guest with Mixed Feelings I’ve been coming here for years and have always appreciated the atmosphere, but unfortunately, things have changed. Prices continue to rise, while the quality of service has noticeably declined. Office staff often seem unhappy or short-tempered, and store employees are frequently distracted by their phones. The roads and campsites are unpaved, leading to constant dust from vehicle traffic. Many sites are uneven and overgrown — be cautious of low branches if you're bringing an RV. Despite charging premium rates, the campground could really use some maintenance and upgrades. That said, the play area and daily activities for both kids and adults are excellent and remain a highlight of the experience. With some improvements — such as paved roads and concrete pads like those at nearby campgrounds — this place could return to being a top-tier destination.

The young lady working the check in window was extremely rude to me when I tried to check in at 1:40 pm which Is only 20 minutes early. She then made me feel very dumb and talked down to me for not putting in the exact make and model of my vehicles in the registration. I will not be coming back to maple park due to the miserable and extremely rude employees with zero customer service skills

I am an musician, I perform in a couple of bands there a few times a season. The campground is beautiful , the manager is really a pleasure to work with. And the campers that come to our shows( young and old ) are fantastic!! From what I have seen and heard from the many campers that I have spent time talking to, I wouldn't hesitate to spend some quality time at Maple Park Campground ??

You will not be disappointed!! Very clean and family friendly campground. Many supervised activities for children of all ages with some for adults to join as well. Staff is always pleasant and ready to help. Don’t forget to check out the water activities! My family has been going down yearly for over 10 years now and never had a bad experience.

Went in August with 3 adults 2 children. 2 under 2 Children. Only ended up staying 1 hour and left. 3 weeks before our date our kids got pneumonia. Both kids are two under two. We asked to cancel or change the date. We were told a manger would call us back. 1 week before we called again and they couldn't give us an answer because the manger needed to make the call. We Payed attention to our phone and never missed a call. We showed up on our date. The kids were doing good enough. It's was 50/50 but because we never got an answer we didn't want to loose 250$ We drove a suburban with an open trailer for all our camping stuff. Never had a problem in May when we went earlier in the year. At that time even a staff member said "nice trailer, nice set up" I have camped all my life with a truck and an open trailer to haul all the needed camping stuff and never had one campsite say anything. This places bathrooms are terrible. Most of their activities were closed. The playground is in the middle of nowhere. Zero staff members patrolling the grounds for loud music and other many disturbances. As soon as we walked in to grab our bathroom key and car tag it was the end of world to them that we had most of our camping stuff in an open trailer. Before I go anywhere, I am sure to read all the rules and I did. They explained that the trailer can't be left on the campsite That we should be able to fit all of our stuff in the back of the suburban. I explained how it wasn't listed on their website for their rules and that last time it was not a problem and we did not encroach on the other two campsites beside us. The suburban was packed and the trailer was fully packed also. We also brought up the fact that we weren't even sure if we were gonna go because the children are still technically sick but The manager Haven't gotten back to us. The office girls remembered us calling. They said well that Trailer can't go to the campsite sooo.,, I said well go get the manager, please. He was supposed to speak with us anyways. Just standing around The kids were still in the truck with The Motherin Law and we said you know what we'll meet him at the campsite we need to get the kids out of the truck. He shows up , we talk ,we start to unload and then he gets all pissed because he had no idea that he was supposed to call us back. He explains that the trailers are danger, then we go back-and-forth and he explains how the campsite has no Liability for anyone. he owns all the land. He's been doing this for 30 years. No Corperation owns this place , he has all his staff do the work not him , He's never let open trailers on a campsite . Justin Almighty nobody can touch me ,. I have a shiny truck. Blah blah, blah blah He also insulted me about my business and that I know nothing about liability insurance because my business is a joke. We said you know what we've had enough of you. We're leaving ,refund our money. He said sure I'll do that later tonight. I said you couldn't even Call us back. We start loading everything back up on the trailer. He did the refund on his phone and we got A confirmation email which was good enough. We eventually called around and found a new place to camp that day and it was the best. Don't go here go somewhere else.

We have stayed at maple park many times over the years. This past summer we spent a few nights and had a great time. We love the pond, the activities in the rec room & the snack shack/ ice cream. A few things I would be mindful of are the prices for water and electric for tenting seems to be a little high for what you get. Also the amount of second hand smoke was a large turn off. They did just make smoking on the beach prohibited but people would just stand next to the beach on the road and chain smoke. Otherwise we had a nice stay and I am sure will be back in the future.

I have stayed here for years and love it. There is so much for kids to do. I don't understand the bad reviews about staff....if you read the rules then you should be fine. I have never had a problem with staff. These rules are for safety and by the state on the fires. It's not the parks fault. The manager is amazing and the rest of the office staff as well. The snack shack is amazing and the employees are very personable and smiling. Don't let someone's bad reviews about rules ruin your good time.

Our first time to Maple Park Campground was awesome! Everything is clean & well maintained. The restrooms & showers are cleaned pretty frequently. The showers are small & water only runs for a short period of time, but you can just keep pressing the button for more time. It's nice having the facilities close to the campsites. They host events throughout the week, which can include bingo & live music. We got to see a band from 7:30-10pm at the beach & it was awesome! The ponds & beaches are very nice. We swam for hours & had a great time. There's a general store in the park that has lots of snacks, souvenirs, & necessities. They also have an ice cream shop & offer rentals (golf carts, kayaks, paddleboards, time on the pond inflatables, etc.) Highly recommend checking out Maple Park for your next camping adventure!

This was our second year we typically stay in a 40ft 50a space for a month. The park itself is very nice with a lot of things to do for the kiddos. The park is very tight for big campers like ours and a guide to take us in would have been extremely helpful. When we brought our golf cart in and tried to register it the staff was extremely rude about it. Also we had a change in plans and need to leave a few days early and again we were meet with a poor attitude. In summation the park is fun as long as you don’t change your plans or have to make any additional arrangements with management.

Campground is nice, but some of the staff need better attitudes, there is a young man that works in the golf cart shack with a very bad attitude I tried asking a ?? And it was just to much to ask he just has a hair across his **s every time I see him, and the head person at the golf cart shack is no better. My family and I have camped here for years every year there's about 25-30 family members that camp here every year for a full week, but the younger staff is getting much worse (just a few) All the older staff is great but the new seasonal personal that where hired this year is the worst I have seen it in years some have really bad attitude issue and others go above and beyond Hopefully the new younger staff gets better in the future. Other than that the campground is awesome and we love coming here

Our stay was terrible compared to other campgrounds and we ended up leaving a day early. We had booked a stay from Friday-Sunday. At first note, the tent sites are packed tighter than sardines. You are close enough to hear their conversations and are so close to the road that with the amount of constant traffic, you have to be on constant HIGH alert if you have any young kids. We had terrible neighbors, which hurt our experience more. A group of 4-6 college age kids checked in at 9:30, and made tons of noise up until 230am when my wife confronted them to be quiet. Mind you, quiet hours are 10p-8a but this is not enforced at all. Between lack of enforcement and how crowded it is, this is not a peaceful tenting experience. After one night and it being plainly visible that our neighbors weren’t just doing a 1 night, we left to spare ourselves another terrible nights sleep. The money wasted on the extra night was fine, knowing we would get a full night sleep at home. I will praise the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the friendliness of the staff. The kids enjoyed the playground. We stayed out of the water because of some of these other reviews I’ve read. Summary is, if you like to tent camp as a peaceful getaway, don’t come here. Can’t comment on the RV stuff, it did seems a little crammed but not as bad as the tent areas.
