I was looking for a place to resize my watch and came across this shop nearby. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two of the friendliest gentlemen I’ve ever met. They were incredibly kind, explained the process clearly, and to my surprise, the whole thing took less than five minutes. I can’t recommend this place enough!
The younger gentleman gave me a very fair price for my gold that I brought in, got about 80%. I went a week later and the older gentleman offered me UNDER 50% of my 14k at spot value. Needless to say, steer clear of here. At least when the older guy is working. I'm glad I know how to evalute gold or I would have just been scammed out of 30-40% percent. The two other shops I went to offered me 80% with no haggle. I'm very insulted.

Working with The Jewelers Coin & Loan Co. has been nothing shy of wonderful. I have worked with this company in more ways than one at this point; I have sold designer items, purchased designer items and now, with the help of this expert team, I have created the most perfect and customized engagement ring I have ever laid eyes on. From start to finish every email was answered quickly and at no point in time was I ever made to feel stupid because of how many questions I was asking. The team at this office is incredible and goes well beyond the standard of professionalism most even strive for. I cannot wait to recommend all of my family and friends to The Jewelers Coin & Loan Co. and I certainly can’t wait to work with them again. I’d also like to note that I have never once laid eyes on anyone in this building much less set foot in it. I don't usually go out of my way to write a bad review, but my experience each time I've been here hasn't been great. Getting in touch to set up a time to sell goods is spotty at best. The last time I reached out I asked if there was a specific time to come by and was vaguely told in the evening. When I showed up it was almost a surprise to the people working. The girl I spoke with lowballed me below most normal market prices until I said I would just keep my items. What drove me to write this review was one particular item that I had brought last time that I passed on due to AGAIN lowballing. I brought it this time again ready to accept their prior offer. This time the offer was insultingly low. Imagine offering someone 10% of what they paid for the original item when it's perfectly fine. When I asked why the price had changed I was first told it needed to be cleaned, I had offered to provide the instant cleaning kit it came with, quite literally 0 effort. Then I was told they don't sell for much on the retail market. When I questioned the person working they didn't seem to know the difference between retail and resale. Then the reason was offers are only good for 24 hours. It was one excuse after another. I understand this is a business and they have overhead and other expenses, but there is running a business and intentionally screwing people over and they are not the same. They were convenient for what was needed, but I will definitely not be coming back.
Today, for the first time, I stopped in at the Jewelers & Coin Co. on Beale St. in Quincy. I needed a new battery for my Marc Jacobs watch. and not every jeweler carries these batteries. They not only had the battery but installed it quickly. Their service was friendly and professional. I recommend their services. My experience was more than satisfactory.

I brought a 24k gold bracelet into this place.
It was weighed and analyzed...and the proprietor dropped it back into my hand and said he didn't want it; as it "wasn't real gold".
I then brought the bracelet to a different jewelry shop... and after analysis they promptly offered me $127 for the piece.
I don't think this guy knows what he's doing.

Excellent experience! Came in to get my watch resized and they were able to get it done same day! Jewelry was clearly well taken care of and when I came to pick up my watch the man was so kind and did it for free! Not only that but they also adjusted the time to be accurate because I wasn’t sure how to do it, would reccomend to anyone with jewelry needs.

Just received my Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessories bag and it’s absolutely beautiful.the shipping is always so quick Came just as described and it even included the original box , dust bag and original receipt.
