This garage is really great and super friendly. Getting a diagnosis is a lot cheaper here than at the dealerships garage and they give you pictures to see exactly what your parts look like.
My family and I have been bringing our vehicles to Dr. Auto since they opened. The staff is friendly and the
communication is great. We can always except excellence when leaving our cars for routine maintenance and a fast
diagnosis and repair when we need emergency service. They are always up front about pricing for all repairs. The free courtesy check is helpful to budget for repairs as well!
Avoid this place. The owner Joe is a nice person but the mechanics are awful. I had my car towed in for a broken pinch bolt on my steering shaft and asked them to fix the bolt, instead they tried quoting me 1000 dollars to replace the whole steering shaft. My Infiniti was also in for a noise coming from the starter. They quoted me 4000 dollars to get to the starter so they could inspect it. I as a customer had to teach them how to take the starter out via text. That 4000 dollar quote turned into 1330 total with the pinch bolt replaced and a new starter included due to me telling them how to do it. Long story short just avoid this place, if I didn’t know anything about cars I’d have over 5000 dollars in repairs based off of the quotes given.
Doctor Auto consistently goes above and beyond with my car issues (Nissan Rogue). Their prices are fair and reasonable, and they are always willing to work with me. They keep me updated every step of the way, clearly explaining what they’re doing and what’s needed, and they never perform any work without my consent. I truly appreciate having a mechanic who puts customers first—not just profit.
I'm a DIY mechanics at home but cannot deal with high-level repairs in cold winter..So I went for the shop for diagnosis and got my wheel bearing replaced here. Good communication and the price is reasonable

I had an excellent experience at Doctor Auto of Chelmsford, thanks to Mideya. I called around 9:30 a.m. hoping for a last-minute appointment, and the business was kind enough to accommodate me with a noon slot the same day, which I really appreciated.
Mideya completed my state inspection and replaced both of my front tires in about an hour—impressively quick without ever feeling rushed. She did a thorough, high-quality job and kept me informed throughout the entire process so I always knew what was going on.
In a line of work that’s still largely male-dominated, it was especially refreshing to see a woman do such a fantastic job while being so polite, professional, and courteous. Kudos to the owner, Joe, for hiring someone like Mideya—she’s a real asset to the business. Highly recommend Doctor Auto for their excellent service.

My wife care with care, i couldn't find the wheel lock key on the car to replace the wheels so I asked if they can be removed and they did it with with no issue, I totally recommend if you need help and or service, Don’t be a stranger and stop by, you won’t be disappointed!!

Very pleasant experience, everyone was very nice! Fixed and flushed my coolant system after one of my lines exploded and my engine overheated. Had my car towed there early morning they’d stayed a bit later just to finish the work day of! Great experience!
Thanks to Doctor Auto for prompt emergency service after my car broke down at a busy intersection in Lowell. I had the car towed to Doctor Auto and within a day they repaired the broken axel and had me back on the road. It's not a matter of "if" but when you will experience a dramatic car breakdown. So it's good to know that there are places like Doctor Auto who you can count on in an emergency!

I arrived early for my appointment and was taken in when I arrived. The person who services my car was very knowledgeable and approachable. He told me what my car needed and what it didn’t. He worked quickly without missing anything. Joe was also super attentive to me as the customer and to my car. All in all, I knew my car was in great hands.
It was quick and easy for an oil change and state inspection. Very friendly people. I also believe it’s affordable like close to $130. Definitely coming back again!
A friend recommended Doctor Auto based on her positive experience. When I called, I was asked what time I wanted to come in for my needed oil change. That was a surprise b/c I have usually found that the service garage tells you when they can fit you in to their schedule. I made the appointment for 2 days from the time I called. In the meantime, I learned that the funeral of a friend was at the same time as my car appt. When I called back, there was no issue in changing my appt for 2 hours later than scheduled. The auto service was done in a short time while I waited in their waiting area. The mechanics were courteous and friendly. I would definitely recommend Doctor Auto!
Pretty good, but not perfect. Tldr; first diagnosis was obviously incorrect, but upon closer inspection the senior mechanic figured it out.
Engine was smoking oil. I dropped the car off yesterday and they looked at it this morning right away. That was great. Their first diagnosis was that the oil was overfilled. I had just checked the oil level the day before so I knew that was wrong and told them. By the time I got there to discuss, the senior mechanic had found a leaking head gasket. They put the car on the lift and showed me.

I love the fast service i get from Dr Auto no matter what the problem or need with my car may be. They are very honest about what the problem is and always give me ways to save money on the repairs I need unexpectedly or routinely. All the mechanics are very knowledgeable and pinpoint the exact problem unlike other companies that fix and repair everything till they eventually find the real problem. Friendly and polite employees that always want to make things right with my car the best way possible for the best price also! Check them out and tell the manager Joe that Cindy sent you! Great autobody job for pricing better than actual autobody places. What could have been a $2,400 job at my local autobody was only $1,200 with Doctor Auto. Honda sensor was still working fine after bumper/grill replacement. No recalibration needed. Done within 4 business days. Courtesy multi-point inspection. Great employees.
