Went in for the tire pressure light after being told at a previous establishment I drove over a nail. They took a look and refilled everything free of charge. Super nice people!

My son is a student at UMASS and needed work on the brakes in his car. Midas was able to get him an appointment right away, give him a lift back to his house and even pick him up if necessary once the car was done. Mike and Jason were both wonderful and nice to talk with. I really felt they took good care of us, which is even more appreciated as my husband is deployed and I’m not the usual car person in the house. Thank you so much! Highly recommend this location!

My son had something hanging off the bottom of his car. I called Midas and asked if they had time to look at it today. Jason said bring it in and they would look at it- no charge. Darrien at Midas showed me the plastic thing that was scraping on the ground and gave me the choice of taking it off or putting it back on. I chose take it off- which they did free of charge. Wow! Thank you for getting me in SO QUICK and thank you for taking care of my son's car! You guys are the best!

I came in with a friend looking for help replacing a headlight. They went above and beyond showing us how to do it and doing the opposite of trying to get money from us. It was really great, and I will probably go back again for car things that come up. These are real people who care.

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. I went in for a basic oil change, came out with a visit to the dealer and 2 months trying to figure out what they did. Beware. There's also the fact he told me I needed a new battery and a head gasket, which is definitely not the case as assessed by the Chevy dealership in Northampton. Shady business.

Jason and his crew at Midas took me in at the last minute and they have worked on all my family’s cars for years. They are always super flexible, kind, and patient. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a good experience from reliable people.

Taken my work and personal vehicle to this location many times and have always been treated kindly! Called about some weird noises today and they were able to fit me in. Found it was just my heat shield, took it off, and sent me on my way! Mike the manager and the mechanics there are great, highly recommend!

Immediate service with great communication with the customer. This was my first time coming in as i’m new to amherst. I came in the same day I called for a bulb replacement and Bori hooked me up. I was there for half an hour and left with brand new lights with no dent in my pocket. Everyone was so helpful, I will be returning to midas next time i need a quick fix!

I came in for an estimate on my exhaust and without asking me Mike printed out one which also included brakes and tires, which didn't need servicing, the total coming to nearly $3,300. I went to a regular private shop of mine and got the exhaust done parts and labor for less than a thousand. I have found that some shops without even knowing you treat you like a blank check. There is a foreign car place just down the street that treats you exactly the same way. I was insulted and never went back. There are advertising signs in the lobby telling us that Midas won't take part in any cynical or deceptive practices, but these signs were created by an advertising agency that knew nothing about the chain. Also, there is a question in my mind as to whether the responses to our reviews created were created by a manager at Midas or an outside firm that is hired to manage the reviews.

I came here for the first time for an oil change and a not-so-great noise my car was making. Had some serious safety issues that got fixed, I’m out some money, regular stuff. I’m reviewing because Mike gave such phenomenal customer service. Usually the vibe of chain locations is that they’re rushing through to make money and convince you to get the most work. Waiting for my car I overheard a few people mentioning how far out of the way they drive to visit this place specifically, talking like old friends and not just another transaction. I’ll absolutely be back.

Exhaust smell in the cabin of our Prius newly undeniable, and with an unexpected and sad drive to St Louis early tomorrow morning, I tried this morning to find a shop that might possibly diagnose and repair this issue today. I have always used a family-run mechanic, and was worried that going with a big brand might result in a wild goose chase for the leak(s), a lot of expense, and maybe even my own uncertainty about whether a repair was necessary. I was wrong. Midas Hadley didn't feel like a big brand. Mike, who took the morning call, kept me informed as he treated me (and everyone else in the bustling waiting room) as family. He was reassuring, told me what to expect, and kept me informed. When the mechanic Luis found the leaks, Luis showed me precisely where, the tool he used to locate the major and lesser leaks, and why he was confident in his recommendation. I am a skeptical person, and Luis totally convinced me. He was so clearly competent and experienced, and wasn't just going through the motion when he was showing me around the underside of my car. Then Mike set to work to find a part in stock that could be delivered within a couple hours. After several phone calls, I was losing confidence but Mike remained reassuring, and he eventually found a part. Luis installed it, and problem solved. They met this unreasonable timeline because they knew it was important to me. Yesterday it felt like my 14 year old Prius with 276k miles was in its old age, but now feels like it is ready for another decade. Thanks, Luis and Mike!

The folks here are soooo great! I was a SUPER tough case, but they went completely out of their way to work with me to get my tires and rims in a good place again on my Jetta Wagon (which I’ve been neglecting for so long!). Genuinely impressive! Also, this place seems to have some of the better prices in the area!

Had an issue with my front passenger tire constantly losing air, so I brought it in. The team here didn’t just do a quick patch job—they went for a permanent fix, which I really appreciated. Whole process took less than 30 minutes, so I just hung out while they got it done. Super efficient, honest, and no upselling. Definitely coming back if I ever need work done again

I was in Amherst just for the day and around 4pm came out to find my car had a totally flat tire. Tricky timing as I was trying to head back to Maine. I called around to different auto service places knowing they would be closing soon and the response from Midas was awesome and such a relief. Said if I could get there they would check the tire and even stay a bit later if needed. I made it to the shop where they assessed, patched/plugged the hole, and I was on my way. Great customer service and super kind, down-to-earth people. Can't recommend enough!!
