I've got a BMW 328 xi that overheated on a Saturday due to a water pump hose fitting that corroded. Unfortunately, I was 6 hours from home. I had the car towed to Mike Dents after talking with a courteous and thorough counter person and was told they would look at it first thing Monday. By 10:30 Monday, I received a call telling me that they diagnosed the problem and would order the part. By early afternoon Tuesday, I got a call saying the work was done! It even cost slightly less than the quote I got over the phone. I also overheard some talk in the shop where they wanted to make sure that a customer was not overpaying for a simple noise problem that could be something as simple as a mirror rattling around rather then a serious mechanical issue. Seems like they're scrupulously honest in addition to being fast, competent and professional. Thanks to all at the shop! Oh, I should also add that getting there is pretty convenient even if you don't have a car. I took the OC Bus down to the inlet and walked from there. It's about 2 miles just past the outlet stores.

I took my car in to see why my check engine light was on. I had taken it twice to another repair shop, it was off when I picked it up, but came back on within a few days. I took it back and the same thing happened, I was charged both times. I took it to Mike Dent, he called and told me what the code was, explained that he turned it off but it may come back on. He said the repair would be expensive and still may not solve the problem long term He told the problem the code is throwing would not leave me stranded and I would know when it did need to be repaired. He could have done the repair and made money off of me but he didn’t. When I picked up the car, there was no charge, not even for the time test it. Mike will make money off of me in the future…and I will be confident it was necessary and reasonably priced. Thank you Mike, I will be back!

I had been hearing a noise in my front end on my Kia Optima after having regular maintenance and tire rotation at a shop near my home. I stopped in Mike Dents Complete Automotive in West Ocean City to see if they could take a test drive to see if they may know what the issue was. The employee at the front(didn’t get his name), was able to have a mechanic test drive and then put car on the lift and find that the shop I had been to didn’t tighten my lug nuts all the way on one of my tires. This could have been catastrophic! I am so thankful for their services! Took them about total of 25 minutes to have me back on the road at a cost of $0. I have had other emergency work done here on another vehicle and very pleased with this shop.

Our Suburban developed a bad misfire during vacation, and Mike was able to get us up and running in time to enjoy the rest of our trip! He was honest and straightforward through the whole process. Very happy customer!!!

I had an issue with my Tesla after scraping the bottom while going down a driveway — there was a dent, scratches, and even some leaking liquid. I was very worried since I’m traveling with my kids on vacation, and a serious problem would have ruined the whole trip. Even though the shop was very busy with many cars, one of the staff (possibly the owner) took the time to talk with me, carefully analyze where the leak might be coming from, and really understood my situation. He quickly arranged for the car to be checked, and everything was resolved. I truly appreciate the help and kindness. Thank you!

Awesome customer service. Our Jeep had a break issue as we arrived to Ocean City Maryland. My husband took it to Mike Dents and they resolved our problem. When you’re away from home it is humbling to be taken care of with genuine care and trust. We are beyond grateful to be able to enjoy the rest of our vacation. Definitely recommend their services!

This week I had an emergency with my car while on vacation. I can’t say enough amazing things about the customer service and communication with the staff. They were so kind and my car was fixed in time for my drive home. I highly recommend Mike Dent’s to everyone in the Ocean City area! I would give it 100 stars if I could.

My car broke down on vacation and I was extremely upset. Even though Mike Dent's was super duper busy, they took care of me. I was at their mercy but I felt very taken care of and I believed they fixed my car at a VERY fair price. I couldn't believe how wonderful all people were - Mike, Mark and Kayleigh. Wonderful, honest people. I can't recommend them enough!

Great company with professional staff. I had issues with getting my pickup truck through a MD State inspection due to it having dual exhaust. Mike went out of his way to help me get the truck though inspection without having to do any repairs.

My family and I were in Ocean City on vacation when my Alternator went out on my vehicle. I called around and came across Mike Dents. They were able to get me in the very next day and the job was completed that afternoon. The communication from the center was great to let me know what was going on and a time frame. Mike Dents saved my vacation! My truck broke down while in ocean city, and I called AAA. They had it towed to Mike Dents and the mechanic called me first thing the next morning with what he thought it was. By lunch time that day it was repaired and ready for pickup! Can’t thank them enough for their quick and friendly response and service! 6 Stars!!!

Seems like a lot had great experiences with Mike Dents. My experience was different unfortunately. I needed a tire repair and called Mike Dents in the morning just after 8 AM. We were on vacation in OC and needed help with what turned out to be a screw in it. They said after 1 PM they can look at repairing the tire. I showed up at 1:25 and they said they were booked for the day. I said “Mark on the phone said they could take me at 1”. The guy at the desk said, “it’s 25 after 1 now” in a rude voice. They did suggest another place up the street. I was disappointed with my experience at Mike Dents.

We tried leaving ocean city on sunday, started having our check engine light flashing which caused us to stay another day due to it being a sunday & no where open. The next day we woke up early & started calling so many places - they told us days to a week to get in. People let me know on a post i made to call mikes, and thank goodness we did, not only did he get us in that day, but right away & were officially on our way home, the best!!

Engine light started blinking as soon as we were on our way home from Ocean City. We called Mike and he got us right in. If you’re vacationing in Ocean City and have car issues, this is your place. Can’t recommend enough.

Worst place. Honest review for everyone who is checking his store to get your car checked. When you walk into the store you will feel rudeness at peak. There is alot of fake reviews here. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful experience. I went to this shop to get a second opinion on a wiring issue for my car. It was already a week and he didn’t even diagnose my car. Asked me 5500$ to repair partial one harness wire issue. After expressing that I wanted to take my vehicle elsewhere, the mechanic aggressively handed me all my keys and parts and told me to remove my car in 5 minutes. When I didn’t move it immediately, he actually called the police on me over parking — despite me being respectful the entire time. I’ve never been treated this poorly by any mechanic. As a customer, I have the right to get a second opinion — that doesn’t justify aggressive behavior or police involvement. Would not recommend this shop to anyone who expects basic professionalism or decency. Update on review: This guy replied me bad in review. And look at his audacity to edit all the reply. And make it sound different situation. This person is worst and rude. Never go to his store if you want save your time and money.

Highly recommend! We were on vacation and needed a very quick repair and they stayed late to complete the job. I am so grateful that they were willing to happily take my vehicle in and fix it asap ☺️

Had an emergency repair (cracked radiator). They were able to get me in that morning to diagnose the problem. They immediately ordered the part and completed the repair by early afternoon that same day. Super fast service. I highly recommend Mike's -

While on vacation, the alternator and battery in our vehicle conspired to die simultaneously. After being ghosted by a mobile mechanic we towed our vehicle to Mike Dent and they did not disappoint. Repairs were done rapidly and correctly, and the charge was quite reasonable. If the circumstances ever repeat themselves I would not hesitate to bring my vehicle here. Thanks to Mike Dent for getting us back on the road!

Very honest people, my car was acting up when we were on vacation and they changed and cleaned the spark plugs so I could make it home. Plus they also replaced my back blinker, and they only charged me $40 for all that! I'm so thankful I found a honest mechanic in ocean city.

Went because I thought I saw a nail in my tire and I thought for sure they might try to take me for an out of towner and put a new tire on. They came out after half an hour and said there's no nails and any of the tires and they recalibrated everything and I was good to go! No charge for even looking. What nice people.

Had a low tire light come on when I got to Ocean City for vacation. Read reviews for Mike's online. They exceeded my expectations and more. Couldn't rest worried about my car. I'm on vacation for heaven's sake! Trust Mike's! Thank you for alleviating my stress so I can enjoy myself!

The staff at Mike's helped me out today. I was on vacation and picked up a nail in my tire, even though it was in a position that they could not repair it, they took the time to look at it and give me recommendations. I'm very grateful for their time and expertise!

New to the area and went there over a week ago for an oil change and an alignment. After diagnosing, my truck the technician showed me repairs needed for my suspension system to correct the alignment. Technician seemed competent and knowledgeable. We left it that the service advisor, Mark, would follow up for a quote on the suspension work needed. After waiting a week for the follow up quote, I called there today to inquire about it. Was placed on hold waiting for Mark to pick up which he never did. Eventually hung up. Cannot recommend. Update-After my initial review/post, the owner of the business (Mike) phoned me the following day and asked me if I was still interested in a quote and after consulting with the technician (Jimmy), he supplied one and I agreed to the work. Work was completed yesterday at a fair and reasonable cost and corrected the alignment issue. I am 100% satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this business.

We were on vacation and noticed that our brakes were making a bad sound. I took the car to Mike’s after reading reviews. It was a great decision! Mike and his staff are fantastic. They quickly identified the issue, gave me a fair quote and got it fixed in a couple of hours. Hopefully, this will be my only time experiencing car trouble in OCMD, but if not, I will definitely return to see Mike. I highly recommend them to anyone living in or visiting the region!

Really happy with this repair shop. I brought my car because my brakes failed during a short vacation to Ocean City. Not only were they able to repair the brakes on the same day, but the cost of doing so was less than what I had been quoted at some garages in Baltimore! Front desk folks are friendly and straightforward, which I really appreciated. The garage is only open on weekdays during typical business hours, but after-hours payment and vehicle pickup is handled by the liquor store next door, which is conveniently open till 8 PM. All-in-all a great experience.

From out of town, desperately needed to get tires on my car before heading home. I , on a whim, sent a chat to this shop close to midnight. And to my surprise .... Mike responded! Told me he would find out in the morning if tire size was at warehouse. Which he did!! By 3:30 in the afternoon I had 4 brand new tires on my car. Plus, it was super fast! Not sure if that's because I kept myself occupied talking with the most awesome cashier, named Sandy, but whatever the reason it was a great experience. Probably the best thus far in this town of Ocean City Maryland!! Down to earth people who are actually real!! Thanks Mike and crew!!
