Michael at Seabrook Garage in Lanham was professional, kind, and extremely helpful. He explained the issues I was having with my car clearly and showed me the engine before offering a solution. They took the time to check the air pressure in my tires, checked the oil, and battery. They were wonderful and I will be going back next time I need work dont on my car.
I have been going to Seabrook Garage for over 20 years. I trust and can depend on Mike and his team to do great work and take good care of my car. I really like that Mike gives me money saving options such as choosing between a new or used part or choosing an after market replacement part vs a dealer supplied part. Seabrook Garage is a local family-owned business and the atmosphere is very much down to earth. Mike advises you of what repairs or maintenance your car needs and lets you know if something can wait which can be a big help. I am always pleased with the service and customer orientation at Seabrook Garage. Great job Mike and team.
I had an outstanding experience with Seabrook Garage, especially working with Michael Lambert and Brian, on my BMW X4 for my Maryland state inspection.
If you are in the Seabrook, Lanham, Bowie, or Greenbelt MD area, this is the place to go. Michael is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly honest. He took the time to explain everything my vehicle needed and worked with me through a few challenges without making me feel pressured or overwhelmed.
Brian was also amazing to work with. He was helpful, professional, and made the whole process smooth and easy. I really appreciated the level of care and attention from both of them.
I also want to highlight that the entire team was great. Everyone was friendly, efficient, and professional from start to finish. You can tell it is a well run shop where people actually care about their customers and the quality of their work.
It is not easy to find a trustworthy mechanic in the DMV area, especially for BMW service and Maryland inspections, but this team really delivers.

$600+ dollars to diagnose a check engine light issue. They charged $570 labor to run O2 sensor and catalytic efficiency tests on an old truck. At no point did they give me estimate of what the diagnostic tests would cost, so I only was aware of the $600+ price tag when I went to pick up the truck. The suggested repair was new catalytic converters, which itself is fine, but the price for the diagnostic service was excessive and the communication regarding the charges was very poor.
I had the worst experience at this auto shop. If I could give less than 1 star I would but I can not. Save your money and your sanity. I went for a a wheel alignment and I received a call after few days to be told I need to fix multiple things in my front suspension for the wheel alignment. I went to the shop and Michael the owner and mechanic told me that the alignments and all wheels were aligned and in ‘green’ and I paid for that service accordingly. Obly to realize a few days after that the service was not done and I only paid for what they called Checking Services and their hourly rate, this is ridiculous and never expected and my money was never paid back. Save your money, go somewhere else.
I used to use Seabrook Garage services until my vehicle was stolen from this garage while being repaired back in April 2025.
I spent around $20k to restore and upgrade my 2010 Ford F-150 FX4. About 2 days before my vehicle was expected to be ready for pickup it was stolen at the shop. My truck wasn't secured behind the gate. The thieves only stole my truck out of a shop full of vehicles which was suspicious.
The shop's insurance barely compensated for the base value of the vehicle. The $20k spent was never returned not even a portion of it for services that were paid in full by me.
I definitely feel cheated and preyed upon. I will never recommend or use this shop again. I felt violated and betrayed. They handled my situation poorly. My experience with receipts and record keeping with the owner was poor. My vehicle was targeted and the shop did very little to properly secure my truck. Mike the owner did very little to try and make the situation right.
I needed a pre-purchase inspection on a used vehicle. Michael was able to accommodate me on short notice. The inspection was done in a reasonable amount of time and at a fair price. Thanks for the great service, Seabrook!
We have made Seabrook Garage our go-to repair shop. I can honestly say that Mike, the owner, will return your car back to you in top-notch shape. We'd bought a beautiful car from a dealership that ended up having a ton of hidden leaks throughout the car that resulted in it being soaking wet whenever it rained. I believe this repair at any other shop would have cost us our retirement. Mike and his awesome crew actually took the seats out of the car as well as all the carpet. They caught and repaired this problem just before it would have molded and rusted out, and they saved us from having to replace all the carpet (which would have been extremely expensive for our car) by air-drying it over a period of 3 to 4 days. The car was totally taken apart and put back together, and fully repaired. Mike even came in on a day when the shop was closed to work on what he said was a repair that he'd never experienced. We've practically had torrential rains since then, and not one drop has come into the car since Seabrook's repair.
We've also called Mike first thing in the morning for an urgent repair before going out of town, and he was sensitive to our situation and got our car back to us while we waited. He's also helped us find a rare, but major part for our car whereas there was only ONE available in the entire U.S., and he managed to find it and have it shipped to his shop. I can't say enough good things about Seabrook Garage. If you want it done RIGHT, for SURE - this is the place.
Don't go here expecting a cheap job, but Michael is a brilliant mechanic. Customers since he arrived there and now his own business.

These guys are top-notch. Honest, competent, knowlegable, and they go out of their way not only to make sure you understand what the problem is, but what your options are and how much it will cost.
I'm a bit of a gear head myself, but I can't do everything. I have a 1979 Jeep CJ7, a 1972 Datsun 240Z, a diesel Grand Cherokee, and a Saturn. They've worked on all of them with never a problem. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.
This place is a gem. I was having trouble with my brakes and didn’t feel safe driving home, and they made time for my vehicle and got it back to me quickly - faster than I could pick it up actually. The owner called me personally to give me updates, quote prices, and make sure I understood what needed to be done, what could wait, and why. I had a lot of questions - Mike was very patient. Not once did he try to upsell me, and he explained how parts of my car work (eg mass air flow sensor) in understandable terms without being the least bit condescending. He also gave me a calendar and a magnet. I highly recommend this place!
