If this doesn't tell you everything you need to know I don't know what could....I went in to borrow their OBD scanner to check my mom's car bc I had forgotten to put it back in my mustang the last time I used it on my husband's mustang & they hinest to God said "OH we're so sorry but its not working right now but Auto Zone right up the street has a great one & they're still open for another hour". You could've knocked me over with a when I heard that! It's almost unheard of for a direct competitor to actually recommend the other one. I will always remember this & if the need arises to choose between them again I'll choose Advance Auto a million times over. Very impressive.

They left me on the line for over 15 minutes and then hung up on me. They should fire the workers who do this. 09/05/2025 4:40pm to 4:58pm. I ended up buying at Autozone.

My car literally broke down near the Wingstop and I need a new battery and I’m willing to buy a new one if they could install it for me, but they said my car was too far away and literally makes no sense could they be any more useless?

Very poor customer service by Walter, I was waiting to be checked out, and he saw that I was waiting and didn't even acknowledge me. He went in the back to talk to someone and then came out 5 minutes later. I understand you can be busy doing something else, but at least acknowledge the customer and tell them that you will be with them in a second.

Ordered my item at the flower hill and picked up at this location. Quick and fast process for check out. The gentlemen that helped me was efficient at what he did. In and out within 5 mins. Located in a shopping plaza either other stores to go to such as Ross, wings stop, dominoes, bubble tea, green turtle, 5 below and etc.

Jack helped me with my 10 out of 10 experience. I went into AdvancedAuto not knowing why my car wouldn’t start. Lucky for me Jack came out to check and test my battery and alternator. And with much knowledge and a smile he simplified, and explain to me what my issue was. Then Jack installed the battery which I needed within 5 minutes. He was very welcoming, funny, respectful, nice and just perfect customer service all around.

They wouldn't provide a refund because the package was open. Will never shop with this chain again. Lost a customer for life over a small amount. A refund constitutes a return of value in the amount and form used during purchase, store credit has no appreciable value and is therefore not a refund. Read the back of any gift card from any store for details on this. If you can't use it like you would cash it isn't real value. They might as well have given me monopoly money or a napkin with the words, "I.O.U." on it. In any case you can find far cheaper and better quality parts and accessories at Rockauto (dot) com website.

Original rating was deleted so I'm re-posting. The short is they had Diesel Exhaust Fluid advertised for $14.99. At he register the price was higher. I took salesperson to display and he said it was a mistake and wouldn't honor the price. I mention a new auto parts store was opening on Germantown Road. Basically he said I could go there. So much for customer service.

I purchased a battery from this store and a little over two weeks later my car wouldn’t start. Long story short the battery was defective. The manger refused to take it back or even give me a store credit. He would only swap it. Nowhere does it say that returns weren’t an option!! The manager is so RUDE!! He was very short and snappy with me.

They told us what battery to get for our motorcycle and we got it. Unfortunately the battery they suggested was wrong and didn’t fit. When we tried to return it or just get the correct battery but the worker Chris gave us attitude about how the battery should work and it’s the right fit. He tried to argue with us about whether or not it fit like we didn’t just try for 30 minutes to get it to work. Chris’s attitude was very poor and he was visibly mad at the situation and he didn’t try to hide it.

Customer service is atrocious. I walk in to an employee and customer having a loud argument at the front of the store. I asked for help finding rubbing compound and got a wave in a general direction of the store. After staring at the wall of products fore more than 5 minutes I called a friend for help and got a better answer than the employee's help. I'd rather go out of my way and maybe pay a bit more to get better service at Pep Boys or AutoZone.

Many customers with masks below the chin no enforcement whatsoever despite two signs outside stating "masks required" and as with the rest of the 1 star reviews, customer service is atrocious. Do better and train your employees properly the attitude with them is despicable. Find people who actually want to work.

I brought the car to battery check, waiting in line when my turn they said wait until no customer in the line and then they can come out to help me, I keep waiting the customers keep coming and they said that is the policy of advance auto parts, i did talk to manager of the store but no help ,i talked to cashiers she told me go to another store i hope the owner will train employees better. If the battery bad i will buy another one from the store, i think that not the way to do business, thanks.

This shop's incompetent store staff gave me the run around over a 4.99 cent fuse part for 2 days. First they had it, only to find out they didn't have it, but would have it deliver to their store in 2 hours. Then 2 hours, 30 mins later they still didn't have it. Then the next day, they said they now do have it and that there is "2 in the back" only for me to drive in for the 4th time and no one knows what I'm talking about. They couldn't find it. They took no ownership of the time wasting and run around they gave me. No apologies, bad customer service. Apparently I am the one who is wasting their time. I will NEVER shop at this AAP again.

Ordered my new Optima Red Top battery online (save 25% as a new online customer) and had it installed at the Middlebrook store within an hour. Shaoiab checked the starter motor and installed battery afterwards to make sure everything was good. Highly recommend due to price and service!

Today, I needed a new battery and get it installed. I called ahead to see if they carried it. The woman who answered my call was very friendly and helpful. She said that they had the battery to fit my Jeep. I went to the store at noon (Thursday). I was asked if I needed help and was immediately taken care of. Mohammad N, got my battery, rang it up & I paid. We went out to my Jeep. He changed out the battery and I was on my way in less than 15 minutes. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you. I couldn't be more happy about the help I received.

I wasn't very happy about my visit here. First when I got here one of the sales person was available to help however he was on the phone with His friend for at least 5min before he called the next customer. On top of that I told him the part that I wanted but he still order me the wrong parts.

It's a chain store so they have pretty much everything. The down side is the staff disappears so you're waiting in long lines to check out or have a question answered. I needed a turn signal bulb. Went to the bulb section and they were out. Waited to see if it was behind the counter. I had to have it. 30 minutes later I was leaving. Luckily I wasn't in a rush. Probably should have just gone somewhere else.

I originally ordered a filter and the salesman told me the store did not have it in stock but that If I bought it he could order the part and have it shipped the next day. I came into the store a few days later to find out that what was told to me was not accurate. The part had to be picked up by the customer in Va. Let's just say I was not happy. If an employee is unsure of the how the store procedure works, common sense is to ask for assistance and not tell the customer what they think is true when in reality is not.

We just buy parts online now after multiple, less than pleasant experiences. My fiancée and I had to come to this location 3 separate times because we called them to get brake pads, they put the wrong ones on hold and therefore we were sold the wrong ones, and then they gave is incorrect info, resulting in us having to purchase more pads than were needed. Then we had issues returning the pads that were not needed in the first place! Also, they were blasting music so loud that you have to make an effort to talk over it... And I swear I'm not just don't old grumpy man, but I'd say the music was inappropriate for what's supposed to be a professional, work environment.

Staff is horrible! They have no interest in customer satisfaction. They are slow, mumble something that is not easily understood and act like they are doing you a favor by even being there. Not to worry, I'm sure Amazon is gong to push places like that out of business soon.

Friendly and helpful team there, I walked in and immediately the first person ran into dropped what he was doing right away and helped me find the filter to my motorcycle! When he couldn't find it he was able to order it for delivery today from another store. Which reminds me I have an hour before i have to go back to pick it up!

I went brought new windshield wipers and unfortunately after 2 weeks of using them I discovered something was wrong with them. Long story short I went to have them exchanged and the shift supervisor said " sorry there's nothing I can do since you don't have a receipt" so I went back 2 days later and the manager Sam (a God send the reason for my 5 stars) search their system and was able to find my purchase and swapped them out and recommend a better quality brand!

I placed an order online, when I went to pick up the order the guy asked me if I called in advance to make sure they had the part. The website said it was available, what's the point of ordering online if you have to call the store? After 20 minutes the guy asked for the name of the part that I ordered and started searching in the system, really???? They did not have the part and I had to cancel the order, no apologies from him, he just cancelled the order and said THANK YOU VERY MUCH :-/ I only go there because the closest AutoZone is in Silver Spring.

Slow and lazy staff. I waited in line for a long time while the staff just walked around in the back. A guy finally came to me and asked if i need help (Gary) and I said I that needed and sensor reading. Then he said I can't leave the store. Before he was just on the phone. He then said that I have to wait because its a free service. So, if you aren't buying anything right away FU! I needed to find out what was wrong with my car so I could buy something. Stay away...Lazy and Rude!
