My car was stuck in the cold and it would not turn on. I reached out Magex for Towing and Emmet immediately responded and showed up within 30 mins. He was just not a towing person, he was also able to troubleshoot my car. He jump started and tried to troubleshoot before getting to mechanic. He understood that if he is able to solve the problem then it can save a huge hassle for his customer. I really appreciate his honesty and his service. If you ever stuck I highly recommend.
Emmett with MEGEX Towing was awesome. Dispatched by AAA, Emmett arrived quickly and worked well with me to pick up the car around a busy school intersection at school dismissal time. He was polite, friendly and thoughtful. I would absolutely recommend MEGEX and Emmett.
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with MEGAEX Towing & Recovery was so disturbing that I feel obligated to warn others. From the very beginning, my husband and I felt racially profiled and disrespected. Before the driver even properly secured our vehicle at the dealership it was being towed to, he demanded payment immediately, as if he assumed we were not going to pay. There was no professionalism, no courtesy—just suspicion and hostility. While processing payment, the agent complained about us using a card and repeatedly pushed for money to be sent directly to his personal account. We ultimately Zelled the money just to get the situation over with. Even after receiving payment, he then told my husband—flat out—that he needed a photo of his driver’s license “just in case the vehicle is reported stolen.” That comment alone was deeply offensive and unnecessary. I don’t know what type of clientele this agent is used to dealing with, but that assumption was insulting and humiliating. To be clear: my husband and I are financially stable, fully legitimate customers, and were treated as if we were criminals instead of paying clients. Because of his behavior, he lost out on what would have been a generous tip—not because of money, but because of his conduct. The agent was also nasty and dismissive on the phone. When we asked basic questions about pricing (as first-time towing customers), he repeatedly said, “If you want to call somewhere else, you can.” That is not customer service—it’s arrogance and intimidation. Even after the disrespectful phone call, we still gave him a chance, and he somehow managed to make the experience even worse in person. I felt extremely uncomfortable, embarrassed, and degraded. I do not recommend MEGAEX Towing & Recovery under any circumstances, even as a last resort. No one deserves to be treated this way—especially while already dealing with the stress of a vehicle issue. This company seriously needs to address how they treat people. Utterly disgusted.
Emmitt came within 30 minutes of my call. He was extremely professional and made sure my car was loaded on the truck with no issues. The process was painless and extremely quick.

On Friday December 5, 2025, it was snowing and my car got stuck in a ditch in Damascus. I called AAA and needed an extraction and they don’t provide the service, so they assigned someone to come out and take care of it. Megex was the outfit they contacted. The first guy didn’t have the right truck and did nothing but called a truck that could handle this. I waited hours. Long story, after 4 hours from my initial call, they got the car out of the ditch and put in on the flatbed truck. I had no idea they did this. I told them to put the car on the ground and they said i had to pay. Ok, the guy insisted my bill was $1500 . I protested and they were going to take my car to their lot. In a nutshell, they held my car hostage until i forked over $1500 for what they called an extraction. No details on what they did. I have called their office and have left many messages. No responses. What did they do to command this fee? I feel like i should report this to the police. I never agreed to anything. They never gave m an estimate, and would not release my car until i paid $1,501.98. I should’ve forced him to release my car, but i am civil. I am planning on providing more information in subsequent reviews. This was highway robbery. I still don’t know what i paid for. Megex was terribly unprofessional and extorted the money from me. Tough Lesson to learn. Any advice on what i can do? 12/19 update. I filed a complaint with AAA. They are giving me a partial payment. $150 for the inconvenience. Word of advice, Do Not use MEGEX under any circumstances. They are Thieves who robbed me.
The Tow truck driver, Emmett was very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. He did a fantastic job. Very nice gentleman. I could not have had a better tow truck service. Kudos to Emmett.

Emmitt went the extra mile by successfully finagling the mechanism under the hood to get it into neutral, where others might have failed. He was also super communicative and kept me updated from pickup to drop-off. Outstanding service!

Emmitt was very helpful and professional. Car battery was dead and he tried several times before we just decided to tow it. He arrived fairly quick, introduced himself and quickly began to try and get my truck started.
I have used and tried to use two different tow companies today and I didn’t get a good result but I called I Megex towing and recovery. They got it right. The first time the customer service was great. The driver went over and beyond to make sure I was good. The expense was excellent.

I just want to give a shout out to Emmett of MEGEX towing who works with AAA. This is the second time he has towed one of my vehicles and his on time and professionalism is welcoming when you are stranded and stressed with a broken car. Also, his concern and curiosity of why my vehicle was broke helped troubleshoot a simple fix that would have cost hundreds to check and repair at a shop. So, if you want a good towing company with someone that will provide great service, call MEGEX and Request Emmett, you won't be disappointed.
Emmett was dispatched to assist me with towing my car back to me home after the steering wheel locked on me. He was very kind and patient as I had to catch an Uber to meet up with him on the scene. Once I arrived he was all smiles and quick about loading the car onto the truck.

We had a great experience with this company and particularly with Emmett, who came to give us a JUMP to a dead battery. First off: we called AAA and they said someone was on the way....and they would see if car just needed the battery jumped, or if it needed a tow to a shop. Emmett called less than 30 minutes later to tell us he was just 10 minutes away! During that call, he assessed what had happened and reassured us that it sounded like all we would need is a jump start and not a tow to a shop. He did arrive just 10 minutes later and was very friendly and professional...and QUICK! Within 3 minutes of his arrival on the scene, he had our car running and ready to get back on the road! He gave us a few tips about what to do with the car to keep it running and he answered our questions as well. He was warm and friendly and helpful the whole time. And from the time we called AAA for help to when we were back on the road with a working car was less than an hour! We are very thankful to Emmett for his good service and assistance a couple days ago!
I needed a tow for a flat tire and received excellent service from Emmett at MEGEX towing. He arrived promptly and was courteous with excellent customer service. Shoutout to Emmett, 11:09 AM I called tripple A for a tow and by 11:33 AM he was already onsite at the location I requested towing for the vehicle. I told my wife that must be a record timing for how quick the process went. Not only was it a record timing process Emmett was courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable of his trade he 110% made the whole ordeal seamless. I had such a great experience with Emmett and this towing service through AAA! They arrived in less than ten minutes, which was such a relief. The driver was incredibly kind and went above and beyond—he even went inside a store to buy zip ties to make a quick repair on my car so I could safely get home. Truly excellent customer service and professionalism. Highly recommend!
Unfortunately I had a very negative experience with this business. I use my AAA benefit to request to have a vehicle transported to a mechanic shop. They picked up the car 10 AM in the morning to take it straight to the shop. Around 5 PM the shop called me asking if the car was still to arrive before they closed???? So they carried my car around all day and didn't deliver the car? I called AAA and asked dispatch to escalate the case. Megex promised to be on the way and deliver it within 1 hour, they didn't. I called the driver and ask if they were actually delivering the car the same day, he answered that he had no control of priority calls and could not give me an answer that the vehicle was going to be delivered the same day! I found the number for Megex owner and called asking if he could give me an ETA and in case they couldn't proceed with the delivery to bring the vehicle back because the vehicle was operational and at this point, I would drive it myself to the mechanic shop. He proceed on saying that he didn't have to answer me because his company was contracting with AAA and not me the car owner. The mechanic shop waited until almost 7 pm and my vehicle didn't arrive. I called the owner again and he didn't pick it up. I texted him informing that I had the location of the vehicle GPS and if he wasn't going to take the car to the agreed destination, I would be calling the police to have it lowered from the tow truck. Only after mentioning the police the owner contacted dispatch to inform they were on the way to the mechanic shop. That was around 9 PM , 11 hours after pick up for a 45 minute drive to the mechanic shop. SO, NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS !!!!! NOW A FEW DAYS AFTER THIS REVIEW KRASSI THE OWNER OF THIS COMPANY KEEPS CALLING MY PHONE TO TRY HARASS ME ABOUT THIS REVIEW. MAKE SURE YOU SCROLL DOWN AND SEE THAT THERE ARE OTHER BAD REVIEWS AS WELL ALTHOUGH THEY SEEM TO DO GOOD MODT OF TIME. BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS...I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE AND TRYING TO INTIMIDATING ME OVER THE PHONE IS CERTAINLY NOT THE RIGHT MOVE.
