Every time I have needed their services, a driver has been dispatched promptly and they always make sure to take great care of the vehicle they are towing.
We needed to have a vehicle towed from Frederick to Montgomery County. Geyers Towing is located out of Germantown, MD and not only were they cheaper than every tow company we called in Frederick, but they also had a quicker response time.
The gentleman who towed the vehicle was personable, professional, and courteous. He cracked funny jokes and made sure to keep ample space in busy traffic so we could follow behind him. Top notch!

I called them to get a tow we broke down on a exit i explained what we going on then they told me the could not help a cop came by and said he will get some one there right away not 20min later a this company come up and charge me $1400 for a 5min ride to there shop saying because a cop called them they had to charge me that much then the made me get cash because it was a impounded vehicle this is a Shang high operation nice people but business practice is shady.
My son got into an incident on I-70 while commuting back home. We called Geyers and everything was very smooth. The driver, JC, was very pleasant and very respectful. They responded in less than 20 min. It was the best experience we've had with a tow truck company. I recommend them to anyone needing a tow truck in the Mt. Airy area.
These guys are excellent. My car battery went completely dead on 2/28/25. I called for a tow to my mechanic. Aaron arrived in less than 15 min to my location. He was very professional friendly and explained what he was doing. My wife and I were very impressed.

As a freight brokerage company, we entrusted a carrier to deliver freight on our behalf. Unfortunately, the carrier’s truck was involved in an accident, and the local police called Geyers Towing & Recovery to tow the truck. While it’s understandable that they needed to secure the truck, their handling of the situation afterward was extremely frustrating.
The freight was inside the truck, and we requested permission to send another truck to retrieve it. However, Geyers Towing & Recovery claimed this was against their policy and refused, causing unnecessary delays. After they got approval from carrier insurance company for towing costs , they insisted transloading would be done only by them which came at an unreasonably high cost, but we had no option but to pay.
This experience was both costly and stressful. We expected a more cooperative and fair approach, especially in such urgent situations. Based on this, we cannot recommend Geyers Towing & Recovery to anyone in the logistics industry. Their policies and practices were not accommodating, and the overall experience was disappointing.
The worst towing we've dealt with! They towed our truck and trailer after the accident. We paid off the balance and they didn't want to release the truck and trailer until the money was posted on their account (which was the next day) and charged us $450 for one more day. It's ridiculous.
Friendly, quick arrival and professional. My stick shift car rolled down the driveway and over a green transformer box. Geyers towing took their time to avoid more damage and a prevented the car from rolling over. Fair price for a difficult situation. Thanks!

I am shocked to see some great reviews here, because my experience after the accident I was involved in on April 11, 2024 was terrible. Geyers was called by the State Trooper, my vehicle was already on the shoulder, in fact all the vehicles involved were already on the shoulder. The tow truck driver came out of his vehicle and demanded that I remove all my belongings immediately and he has no time to wait for me. I asked him if that was the manner he should be speaking to me, he cockily answered yes, and when I asked for his name and company, he replied, “you will get it after you remove your belongings.”
It was raining steadily and I was waiting for my ride at that time. He then proceeded to speak to the State Trooper who walked back with him to me. I told Officer Yarbrough that the driver’s attitude and manner was rude and I do not tolerate rudeness. I finally got his name at the end and his name is Aaron.
This driver needs to be taught manners, I am not asking for compassion nor his pity, but rudeness is definitely not tolerable. The accident happened on 1-270 northbound underneath the Grosvenor Lane overpass.

Last Tuesday my car broke down on the highway around midnight. I called Geyers and they arrived within 30 minutes. The driver was friendly and professional. Fast and extremely professional. The driver was friendly. The company also sends digital receipts with overall photographs of your vehicle once it is dropped off so you can see that it was not damaged in transport. A feature I very much appreciate as I take great care of my truck.
The person's car that was taken here gave the rating to post. I was brought here to get my car on a Saturday because it was towed here, and I needed to get it towed back to Virginia. It would have been nice if they were open on the weekend (along with a sign posting their hours somewhere visible) so that my car could have gotten an early start on getting fixed. Instead, it was delayed three days. The representative that answered the phone when I called about getting my car basically acted like they've never heard of tow companies being open on the weekend. I hope to NEVER break down in Germantown, MD again, and the police recommend this place.
