A great local park that offers so much and it's all free. Two tennis courts, a baseball diamond and good field. Lots of people use it for soccer etc. Picnic area is covered and a large well equipped children's playground.

Beautiful area near the Potomac river. Great walking paths, bike paths, and some nice quiet nature as well.

Great place for hiking with the dogs. We always bring along tennis balls to throw into the creek for their swimming exercise

Frolick your ass off you little billy goat. This is where you can. It's rocky and hilly, then flat and easy with little explorations you can take off the path down to the water. It was challenging, relaxing, and beautiful. River sounds, rock formations, and and tons of trees.

It's a great area for walking/hiking especially if you have kids. The only problem is the small parking at the Cabin John Local Park. Even if it's 37F temperature - the parking is crowded (Cabin John Regional Park is way better).

This is one of the best-kept secret hiking spots in the DC area. The trails are maintained exceptionally well and it's quite scenic, particularly in the fall or early spring before the leaves block out some views of the stream. Unlike nearby hikes along the Potomac, there are rarely more than a few people on these trails at any given time.

Parking stinks on the weekend. With various sports practices it’s sometimes hard to find a spot. The playground is nice although a bit dirty and cicada laden at the moment.

Quaint, quiet, and well kept trails. Beautiful "secret" bamboo forest by the creek with loads of spots for kids to run, play, and explore. There is also a well-sized playground and multi-sport field if the kiddos no longer want to run in the woods! All around great place to bring the family for "socially-distanced" fun.

Two playgrounds one at the community center and one hidden and not visible from the road. Both are great. There's also Cabin John trail access that goes at least 6 miles.

Parking can be tough to find if you get there too late. The park has a large open area for activities and an out-and-back trail that allows you to access the river at certain points.

Playground, 2 tennis courts, basketball court, baseball/softball diamond, soccer field. Access to the Cabin John Creek hiking/biking trails. Ample parking

Some criminal has been breaking car windows usually on the weekends at around 5-6ish. Please keep your eyes peeled for suspicious activity.

Very pretty creek area when you get to the bottom of the trail behind the playground.

Lovely park, if you find yourself too overwhelmed at Clemyjontri park this little gem is only 10-15mins away. Not as much traveled during the week (playground) the trails seems to get the most attention! Lots of dog walkers ? Highly recommend, also a tennis court!

If you only have a few minutes to take your child to the park, this is the place. Right off MacArthur with easy parking help save time that your child will better use on the monkey bars, toboggan, static bikes, and other fun activities. Sure Glen Echo has more things to do but you will need more time for that.

I just went to look at that beautiful snowscape. Children with their parents were out sled riding down the hill and enjoying themselves immensely. Spring after winter snow storm the rest of the park was extremely quiet and peaceful. What a beautiful experience.

You may find it hard to find the road unless you are slightly familiar with your route because the GPS gets confused. But overall: A GREAT place to relax(for adults near the trail head). A WONDERFUL place for kids(playground). A RELAXING place to walk(dogs, humans and kids)

The creek and the parallel trail goes for 12 miles without any sight of a house. It is pure serenity in the midst of a highly urbanized area. The area around the creek is teeming with wildlife. We saw catfish, pan fish, a snake, turtles, and all sorts of insects and birds. The creek isn't too deep, so wading in the water is possible. Just watch out for some deeper valleys if you decide to do so. Please "like" if this review has been helpful to you.

Great playground for children (several jungle gym with Monkey Bars and swings). Walking/hiking trails are a bit steep, but still very serene.
