Another incredible day today at SH Great Oaks!! Leana (Lele) was very accommodating so that I could bring my mother over for Mother's Day lunch, without her help Mom can't get on amd off the boat. The remodeled restaurant was great!! Everything we had was amazing. We even got a little extra help from John Rugs. I can't say this enough how wonderful Great Oaks is. I'm leaving my old review below to further my point!! 10/10 We absolutely love this marina. So many things to do. The dockmaster Leana does an amazing job!! She is super friendly and always willing to lend a hand. The dockhands are top notch as well. Beach, pool, pavilion, grills, picnic tables,Tiki bars, small shop, bar and restaurant. All around best marina on the bay!!!

Mary and Nic from the yard are top notch! We spend four weeks on the dry to get a new bottom paint done! Also small things get easy repaired. At the end the bill was fair and trusty. We will come back, tanks for the service!

Marina is beautiful, staff friendly and helpful. Wifi is aweful! No cell or wifi here. Very far from town and no courtesy shuttle which would make it a whole different experience. Short bike ride thru beautiful county rodes to Clark's Seafood which is a treat! On site restaurant is good, Jellyfish has great people watching and the basin is a weekend destination for a ton of Boaters rafting out. Just north in next cove is a wonderful Vineyard, Lands Point with a free dock for a tasting! Easy 15 min dingy ride and highly recommended.

Such a great crew assisted on of my listings (a 53' Royal Cape cat) get hauled after having been delivered from annapolis and had to be towed in after dark on a friday evening! Thanks to everyone including Seatow!

Staff is wonderful! Great service! Ask for Taylor she's the best!!! The food is delicious! My favorite are the stinging garlic wings! They have a nice heat to them and they are juicy! Best wings around the area! Also the crabcakes are delicious and full of lump crabmeat!!! I'm not a huge fan of crabcakes so I usually don't order them but when I come here I will most definitely get one!

When compared to other Safe Harbor marinas this place falls short of the mark. They advertise 30 amp service but only have 50 amp service. The bathrooms were small for the size of the facility but nicely appointed overall. They did not have soap or paper towels and they have a convoluted code to gain access which was disappointing. The trash was overflowing at the dumpster as well. I could not get my slip assignment over the phone and had to hail the dockmaster which was also inconvenient. On the plus side the pool bar tender was great and so were the drinks, the dockhands were great, I got a slip next to my other cruise boat, and the dockmaster did come back to check on us (albeit they could not solve the lack of 30 amp service). The restaurant had poor service, the food was subpar at best and they were out of salads. If you go there bring your own food, there are plenty of grills and a lot of people made use of them. Jellyfish Joels looks like a fun place too. We took the golf cart limo over there. Granted this was a holiday weekend but Safe Harbor Narrows Point was an incredible place to stay on a holiday weekend so we expected more.

Beyond worse experience! Being recommended to come here and being out of town was the worse experience. Loud drunk people inside in the restaurant that you literally had to yell to talk to the person next to you. So many people drunk yelling you couldn't eat in peace or even enjoy the view. The bar area was quieter and more respectful then the restaurant part which was filled with older people drunk who had no respect or consideration for others at all! Very disappointing experience and have no intentions of returning again!

First time here. Loved it! Clean bath houses, Emily and Matt were extremely helpful. Poolside bartender was fantastic! Great food. I will be back several times this year. My new favorite place!

Today was my first time here in 2 yrs my mom & dad live on john carvil rd just down the street. The lady with the blonde hair “peppy” treated me like I was stupid when I inquired about having my kayak here she replied you need a slip do you want the small price or the big price I replied Id like to know all prices. I had no idea what a slip was till today she made me feel really uncomfortable like I couldn’t afford to buy a slip to keep my kayak here. Peppy told me that even though I’m a member I have to park before the gate & walk sown with my kayak. Having this lady work here will drive customers & Buisness away! My family have been members since they built our house down the street this is really upsetting.

Marina offers a pool w/outside bar, exercise facility and jellyfish joels is a walk away. They offer a shuttle to and from the marina/restaurant area to jelly fish joels. The entire area is very family friendly. The restaurant has excellent food and service. We got a slip on a Thursday evening and there was live music at the restaurant that night. They were amazing and the crowd was super fun.

Great place to relax!! They have an awesome beach bar with great bartenders and a great band playing. The beach is fun too, my dogs love playing on it. The main restaurant has wonderful food and bar too. At night the bar has an open deck for dancing and a band lots of fun. There are plenty of activities for kids too, a nice play ground and pool. There are so many amenities here, you really don't have to lift a finger if you don't want too. I love Great Oak Landings and Jellyfish Joel's!!!!!

Ive been coming to Great Oak since the late 70's in high school with a friends parents that had a boat, mid 80's I bought a boat and 1st day took the run from NJ to Great Oak, been there every summer ever since. Great food, Great beach bar, Great staff, Great friends... what more could you want!

Dock hands were always on hand to help with arrivals, departures, and answers to questions. The Rockfish Grille restaurant has wonderful food and a good plan for finding, keeping, and returning lost credit cards! The bathhouse on the hill is beautiful!

Had a slip here for a couple years. Nice pool. Activities for the kids. Bands every weekend. Protected harbor, but quick access to the Chesapeake Bay. They also have a ? beach, and a beach bar during the day. Hotdogs, hamburgers, FF, and such also available at the beach. It's a fun place without a doubt!!

Have gotten fuel hear the last two trips through the C and D canal. Easy to get fuel and the service can not be beat. I spilled oil on my deck and the dock attendant had an oil absorbent towel in my hand before i could curse. Helped me clean and properly disposal of the towel. True lifesaver. Thanks again

Overall, we were pretty disappointed with our three-night stay here. The rooms were extremely outdated, musty and dirty. There was a layer of dust on most of the furniture, discoloration on the chairs and carpeting, old scratchy bedspreads, and door locks that didn't work. Two of the towels in the bathroom were dirty (they didn't appear to be stained, they seemed to be used and dirty). The TV didn't work properly (it was staticy and split-screen), and when we told the front desk about it, they said they'd send the maintenance man up -- but the TV never did work correctly, so evidently he didn't take a look. The water smelled horribly and when we turned the faucets on, it was rusty brown in color. The front desk said it was because of iron in the water after the winter season. We're well aware of why the water was that color, but for as much as we're spending per night there, you'd think they could have freshened our room and ran the water after the winter season. We were honestly baffled at how much we had to pay for such a poor experience here. I gave it two stars, because the staff were kind, and we enjoyed driving down to the beach and fishing. But overall, it truly was a dirty, outdated mess of a hotel that I would not recommend.

You jump right out of your seat once you hit that ranch abscess in your bacon steak and chicken pizza. Nobody could quite pinpoint why the burgers were so inedible or why so many waiters came up to our table asking if we ordered food that we didn’t order. The staff was ignoring everything we said. Since they didn’t listen to us about the plates we needed for the pizza we had to get up to the buffet and get our own, and not to mention that the most competent worker was 9 years old! Worth the 2 hour wait ?

Dock hands, harbor master great. Restaurant was just okay. Commercial filled radio station was too loud at Jellyfish Joel's and staff said couldn't turn down without permission of manager.

The view & Jelly Fish Joel's were awesome. The restaurant, average. The bartender (Joy) at the tiki bar by the pool was great. We were quite disappointed that the restaurant did not open for breakfast as posted. We were also disappointed that, while the room was clean, it was dated. We hung the tag on the door to have the room cleaned, but it didn't happen. We would only go back if necessary for an event. There is a lot of potential for a great weekend get-a-way, but it fell short.

Great access to the bay, family fun on the beach, grown up fun at the beach bar and restaurant at night. The bands are always great at both places. Got my boat bottom soda blasted and painted and after one season not one flake came off... they are working on a few updates including the pool... the resturant's new owners are still trying to find a good groove, but it's definitely better than last year... my summer was awesome and can't wait for next year. It's a beautiful place.

Beautiful Marina but extremely expensive. $90 for only a day slip no electric and not covered and they made us pay not our friends who were visiting with us on the same pier with the same size boat. I will go just a little further to Tolchester Beach Marina where you can get a covered slip overnight with electric for a 32 ft boat under $90 and a beautiful beach as well.

I purchased a boat that was docked at this marina. All of the staff, from the office personnel to the service department, could not have been any more helpful or kinder to me. They offered great advice, helped with my service needs and made me feel right at home there. Thank you so much!

Reasonably priced, beautiful area, don't miss Jellyfish Joel's tiki bar and live music. Love the atmosphere. The pool is on the smaller, dated side. Bathrooms & showers are nice though. The restaurant has limited hours and selection, but great service. The internet WiFi wasn't working most of the time. Their dock handlers are very helpful.

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and slipped our boat in a transient slip for 2 nights. I left my shore power cord at my dock, and the marina manager had one to lend. Very kind. He could have sold me one -- I would have had no choice but to buy it. Another reviewer is right; wifi was intermittent. The young dock hands were attentive and professional; I was impressed. I'll give the restaurant mixed reviews. Buffet breakfast was ordinary and choices limited, but we really enjoyed sharing a bunch of seafood appetizers for dinner. Food was delicious, portions weren't huge, and so the prices weren't outrageous, which suits us fine. The weather was really crappy, so we didn't spend much time at Jellyfish Joel's, but we did grab a drink and listen to the band for a bit. It was a really nice weekend, friendly people and good customer service. And you can't beat the views.

I stayed here for the weekend with my four year old. The room was clean and the veiw was beautiful! The bathroom was spacious and very clean as well. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel has a game room for the kids and a swing set. The people working in the office are so great! (Especially Mary) When my daughter and I left sunday morning to check out, we didn't realize we had left her "blanky" behind. When I called and spoke to Mary the next day she had someone take it into town and over night it to me! Absolutely an all around great stay!

I've been travelling here with my parents since I was a kid back in the 70's. I continued going to Great Oaks with my kids when I got my own boat in 1995 and to this day still got there. When I have a large crowd we reserve rooms at the lodge. They are spotless with breathtaking views and the employees are always courteous. Great Oak Landing Marina and Lodge has plenty of thing to do for the whole family. Night life there is also fun and Jellyfish Joel's is great too. I was just there with my daughter and granddaughter this past weekend and the staff at the Lodge went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

The location is not bad, however the downside outweighs any positives. The manager of the marina is incompetent and untrustworthy base on my experience. For example: * for years he has promised to get the cell service fixed along with the WIFI. To date as bad and unusable as ever. * He looks after his friends and family only (will provide them discounts, creates polices on the fly to support them, etc). Even when they are in violation of the marina rules or violate the rights of other slip holders * No customer service for paid slip holders unless friends and family * Many boats over the years have decided to leave the marina due to all the issues and incompetence. * Manager will give you a price and agree to something and will not honor. Even when in writing. * Yearly survey is conducted, however anything negative is never addressed. * The list could continue but I hope you get the point and protect yourself. Any chance the marina has is to replace the manager and get someone that knows what they are doing. Make sure you have a lawyer on retainer because they will twist and manipulate the contract and create new policies and procedures on the fly to meet their needs. They even break the contract and will not honor their word. Just my experience....
