I am blown away by the customer service, the speed, the quality and the honesty of this repair shop. Will be our new go to for car repairs. I was quoted one price as an estimate and the next day, the quote was half bc they realized they didn’t need to do as much as they thought. I am so grateful to have found an honest, quality mechanic right around the corner!

I was traveling along I95 between NJ & DC this afternoon when my car starting sputtering and the check engine light illuminated. I got off the highway and quickly googled auto shops in the area. Practically in tears, I interrupted whatever the two mechanics were scheduled to work on and they dropped what they were doing to help me out. Being so far from home, they could have charged me anything and I would have paid up, but they were honest, friendly, and had my car back on the road within an hour. They also informed me of a part that will need replacing when I get home and topped off my oil. I’m so grateful for their help today and if they treat a stranger so well, I can only imagine how great they treat their regulars. Thank you!!

5 star service. I was visiting the area from out of town and had a transmission issue. A scary scenario when a shop knows you’re just passing through. BUT, John who took my call and Brad who did the work couldn’t have been more professional and caring. I got that impression on the phone as well as in person. The work was done quickly, efficiently and for much less than I had expected. I have told my relatives in the area and they too will be giving this shop their business. Bravo guys!

Was traveling through the Joppa, MD area from NYC when our car broke down. Did a quick google search and followed the NAPA brand to American Auto Repair.
Had our car towed to AAR where John and his techs quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the defective part.
Over all exspirience was great- AAR is a skilled, honest and customer focused shop.

1,000 dollars and 2 weeks later still can't get my pickup running . Used bad language with elderly people when trying to find out whats and how it's going . Haven't heard nothing in over frist aweek changes parts with out know it was going to fix it. Bad experience all around. Becareful going here !! Took my truck to Bob Bell . They had my truck 1 day and fixed it. The gas tank had 2 gallons of water in it. Removed the water and it started right up. Was also told the seal's were bad . that caused gas to enter my oil . changed the oil had it checked by bob bell. 2 months later still NO gas in my oil. Thought i would add a update. Truck runs great
If you want your car serviced this is the place you go these people are honest, and 100% know what they are doing with your car. They will not tell you something is wrong with your car or truck if it is not broke. They are honest to the T. Next time you break down make sure you go see American Auto tell him I sent you
Great people Great place !!! Iv been taking my cars and truck here since 2014 for small repairs. And last year they installed a new Jasper motor in my expedition suv. Works great runs fine !! I would never ever take a car here again. They are very slow, and expensive. When i got my car back the owner charged me a fortune and my car was not even fixed. The owner is very unprofessional and rude. I wouldnt trust them with my enemies car
