Terrible location, skinny kid that wrote my check smelled like he had a few sips in between work, also didnt take ANY of my information. He was pissed he had to check the metal to figure out the contents and why is an employee telling me he's scared of the same drunk kid who wrote my check.
First time scrapper. Got rid of a main water line that had been replaced. Fast easy process that is very convenient. Price seemed to be in the right range. Didn't preweigh before coming in, but as one piece, weight seemed about right so tare weight was probably accurate. First employee was a little offputting, but overall a good experience. Would recommend/repeat.
I am a career plumber and lifetime scrapper. I Came in today with a truckload (a lot) of insulated Romex wire of various types. It was good wire. Guys that assisted me where nice but had to check the wire casing several times and report to the desk. When I asked about it he told me they were "pinching pennies back there" ?? Huh ?? but it would all be the same price per pound. Ok so now the price can favor them. I let it go thru feeling not good about the transaction. I Go to the machine..... I mean the man behind the glass with 0 personality and it takes him multiple times on the calculator to figure my payout??? I'm sorry it all seamed shady. I'll go somewhere else with my other truckload of wire and future scrap. 1 extra Star your workers.
They will short change you in some way. Not enough weight and keep it, lower pricing and/or total weight. You have to avocate for yourself or they will get in your pocket.
My husband brings his scrap to this place. He used to go to banks in street, MD but that place has gone down hill badly. He prefers this place now and said the workers are very nice.
I pulled up and pulled right in. The men were completely courteous and polite. They worked as a team to get me in and out fast. I will be taking all of my scrap to this location in the future.
