What clients say about Cabin Fever Antiques & Collectibles ~ Purveyors of Random Stuff in Oakland (MD)

They need to either update the store hours or actually be open when they say they will. Have tried twice over a year time to visit this store only for it to be closed everytime we make the hour+ drive. Try to call during business hours listed with no answer. Luckily there is a couple other local stores to visit.

The owners were great, very friendly. There is something for everyone at Cabin Fever Antiques.

Absolutely horrible experience. We were so excited to look around and we find cute things. Our group was definitely going to purchase items but the owner(?) or worker women was extremely rude and inappropriate. After peaking around, there were cabinets that stated "ask for assistance with items in here" but some cases didn't say that and we wanted something out of it so we opened it and retrieved the item. The lady said "excuse me what are you doing" I explained what we were doing and she mocked me. She asked if there was anything she could help us with and we said no and she said "good". She continued to huff and puff about the situation and would not let us purchase the item from the case. I have never received such horrible customer service in my life. We left immediately.

Really cool place that was organized nicely. Surrounded by a really cool local museums in the heart of Oakland.

So many treasures! I bought many items that caught my eye. I loved flipping through the old advertisements too! Plan to spend at least an hour wandering through, especially if you like treasure hunting. Jack, one of the owners, was a pleasure to speak with, and is obviously passionate and knowledgeable about his collections. I look forward to coming back on a future trip to the area.

Great selection and well organized. This is a great stop if you're looking for antiques and one of the better stores in the area.

We LOVE coming here! Such a great place with hidden treasures. I wish the full back section was open again though.

Prepare to be captivated at this treasure trove of a store! Every corner bursts with an eclectic array of items, from stunning jewelry and unique furniture to ornate doors, quirky advertising pieces, and vintage tools that tell their own stories. This is my third visit, and each time has been an exhilarating adventure that never fails to impress!

The owners are wonderful and love to converse and get to know their customers. I got the feeling they like those just passing by and sharing their store's history. A lot of cool stuff - new and antique. Will definitely be coming back next time my wife and I are in the area!

I recently bought an older home and wanted to furnish it with age-appropriate pieces! I LOVE THIS PLACE! Jack and Margie both have been extremely helpful... They are familiar with dates of their items and they have all kinds of helpful hints! Just browsing is fun!

We travel with a service dog. The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude and disrespectful concerning the dog. She said "thanks for asking." We were not sure what that meant since service dogs are allowed by federal law. Our dog did not pay any attention to the whining, barking, following, butt sniffing of the store dog, and behaved as a service animal should behave. Upon leaving, we wished the lady a good day. She slammed a book, and did not respond. The prices were well inflated. The only saving grace was a kind, respectful gentleman in the outside garden area.

This place doesn't look like much on the outside but as they say, you can't judge a book by its cover. This place is actually quite big as the main room leads to two more rooms off the back. There is a pretty large variety of items here, everything from new crafty decorations to actual antiques. There is a large selection of old Life magazines and ads. The very back room is where the majority of the antiques are and there is a little bit of everything here, books, signs, toys, holiday decorations, and lots more. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you are into the crafty or antique shop scene.

I could spend hours in this store!! It's nice to go even if you just walk around and look at everything, although it's difficult to walk out empty-handed!!

Good selection. A mix of curios and classics mixed in with estate sale stuff that needs to be on "sale price". Worth a visit always.
