My serpentine belt snapped on I-70 and the original shop the tow truck dropped my truck off at was too busy to fill me in. The guys at Bussard's towed my truck to their shop, replaced a busted idler pulley and the serpentine belt the same day, and had my truck back to me by the afternoon! Cannot thank them enough, and I definitely recommend them!
Service was great! They finished the work earlier than expected. Pricing was better than other shops I checked with. I was able to get my state registration sooner than expected because of their great service!

I was traveling on I 70 x 11 a.m. in the morning, and I broke a serpentine belt on my class CRV after a quick search of towing companies near me. I was lucky enough to find Clay. He was working the phone that day said he was a little busy today short a person, but he’d try to be there as soon as you can.
Needless to say, he picked me up drove me to his shop and after a quick inspection it will determine that the pulley were fine and I just needed a new belt. He towed Me Into his shop Replaced the belt and had me out of there in four hours. I was prepared to spend the night and maybe have to wait till Monday before I could find someone to fix it. I am retired, and I no hurry, but the shop has outstanding customer service Fair pricing, he even gave me a hoodie sweatshirt with their logo on it. Needless to say it was welcome since I didn’t pack any warm clothes for the trip. I would highly support to shop if I lived in the area and I think these are a great bunch of guys
I did notice three different wrecker, showing up with cars and after a quick inquiry to the mechanics as why these are arriving He says dealers send them their overflow which they cannot get fixed in a hurry. That’s really says something again. Great job Guy. Thank you very much, Randy.
Bussards has been taking care of vehicles in Frederick for longer than I've been alive.....50 plus years. One Mechanic has been there over 25 years. Our 16 year old Subaru Outback broke down on Route 70 today. The heat index today is 105 degrees, and it was scary waiting by the side of the road as the trucks zoomed by. However, once we called Bussard's, the tow truck arrived quickly and Chuck had our Outback on the truck in no time flat. He drove us to Bussard's where the customer service was beyond excellent. Brian evaluated the car, verified our suspicions that the engine was dead and unrepairable , and he didn't charge for the evaluation. The towing charge was only $95. To top things off, Dave drove us to the car rental place so we could rent a car and get back to Gaithersburg. We are beyond thankful to these kind people!
Buzzard's is the best auto repair center in Frederick. I took a 2001 Camaro Z28 to them that hadn't started in 6 years. In a couple of days they had it running smoothly. They are honest about the work that needs to be done and fair with the costs. They are the most honest car repair center I have gone to in decades. Give them a chance to fix your car or truck. You won't be disappointed.
The team at Bussard’s have been great. They are honest folks with fair prices and have earned my trust. This is not said lightly when sharing my opinion. Unfortunately, this industry is rife with people taking advantage of their customers. The lack of being able to diagnose problems or determine routine maintenance that arise in today’s sophisticated vehicles for most folks has opened the door to unnecessary work and new revenue streams for many shops in this space. Why do you think so many repair shops will give you a free complimentary inspection on your vehicle? As such , I am glad I found the team at Bussard’s and will recommend them without reservation.
I had Bussard’s replace my Alternator to fix a repair service charge now issue. My baby feels good as new and the cost was very fair. Definitely bringing all repairs here for the future.
Absolutely an excellent experience. Honest and genuine care for me and my truck. Reasonable rates. Ended up with an oil change, tire-rotation and alignment after a bit of trouble shooting. All is good - no more wobble. Yay! I live out of state, but come to town at least twice a year and I will bring my truck here from now on.
World-class customer service! My work truck broke down on interstate 70 at eight in the morning during rush-hour with my German Shepherd, puppy riding shotgun., They towed me in and fixed my truck and had me back on the road by 10:30 AM. They even let my puppy and I ride in the cab (I’m sorry about the shedding) The total bill, including towing, and repairs was only 300 bucks. I used to think the only way to get service like that would be to get a time machine And go back to the 1980s… These guys are the best
I had totaled my car and he arrived quickly, had my car loaded and was gone in a flash which I'm sure was to great relief to the other drivers on 15North that morning. He was friendly and accommodating to me recognizing I was still in shock from the accident. Picked up all my belongings from the vehicle that day. For their part Bussard's Auto Repair & Towing my accident a breeze.
Buzzards has always treated me fairly and gives detailed information on what ever the problem may be and how much it will cost to fix your car. I've taken my older cars there numerous times and have always been satisfied with their service. They repair what you want repaired and don't tell you you need this and that and that and this. I highly recommend
Bussards came to tow our truck to a local mechanic in Jefferson. Dave was our driver: professional, experienced, astute and careful, he got the truck out of a tight spot with humor and skill. The price was right too! We can’t say enough about Bussards Towing. Hope you don’t need a tow, but if you do, call and ask for Dave. .
The owner is very nice, professional and honest. My car was shaking and I took it in to get looked at. After a couple days he told me he wasn’t sure exactly what the issue was and the shaking could be due to a number of factors. He was honest and told me that the issue may have to get worse before it gets better. And I appreciated the honesty in that. He could have easily kept fixing the endless possibilities to make money and the issue may or may not have gotten fixed each time. Eventually the car got worse and he was able to fix it in the same week. I would definitely recommend this business!
The driver instead of setting my daughters car down and then pulling up to the trailer, decided to be lazy and drag it on its side across the parking lot. It won’t let me up load the video showing him doing this. He caused more damage then she did and I hope her insurance company goes after them. You can see where it’s on the edge of the grass and he could’ve set it down but he decided to just drag it to the trailer
I will be forever grateful that I took my car and truck to Buzzards for repairs. The staff is extremely professional and very carefully listened to all the concerns I had with my vehicles. They correctly diagnosed and repaired each problem I was experiencing and provided me with important details about the repairs the entire time they had my car/truck. I truly believe their knowledge and honesty is unmatched in Frederick and Washington County. I highly recommend this establishment if you want your vehicle repaired correctly the first time without having to spend a ridiculous amount of money.
