I highly recommend Chesapeake Auto Repair. I’ve taken several of my vehicles there over the past couple of years for service and repairs, and the experience has always been fantastic—today was no exception.
Jeremy and Cody at the front desk were professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. Their excellent customer service started with my very first phone call to schedule the appointment. It was immediately clear that they were genuinely interested in my vehicle and my concerns, not just booking another slot on the calendar. Before I even left my driveway, I already had a strong sense of “we’re on it.”
That same level of service continued when I arrived for check-in. They kept me informed throughout the process and even allowed me to go into the shop to meet Chris, the technician working on my truck. That transparency meant a lot. Meeting Chris made it clear my vehicle was in skilled, capable hands, something that’s rare these days. Mechanics are often the unsung heroes working behind the scenes, and it’s refreshing to actually know who’s working on your vehicle.
When I leave most auto repair shops, I find myself second-guessing whether I made the right choice. With Chesapeake Auto Repair, that’s never the case. The customer service is solid, the quality of work is solid, and the pricing is reasonable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Chesapeake Auto go the extra mile example you going for a oil change. They overhaul your vehicle and they let you know in the end what your car is going to need in the future or as of right now. Honest, friendly, and efficient. My dealership said I needed some work done to my 5 year-old SUV and gave me a $2,000 estimate. I went to Chesapeake Auto Repair and was told that a couple of the things on the list were not necessary. They were shocked at the prices quoted for the repairs. I left with my car repairs completed in under 4 hours and only spent $450. I highly recommend them!!!
Moved to Owings last year and have used Chesapeake Auto for all the repairs and maintenance on my vehicles. They have fair prices and offer great service. Demonstrating their superior service and standing by their work, I had a NOC sensor replaced, and the same sensor went bad a few weeks later. Going above and beyond to repair this issue, they stayed two hours after work to get me back on the road. This kind of service is hard to find nowadays, so do not hesitate to use these guys for your work. I highly recommend them and will use them for all my auto maintenance and repair needs.
Updating to stick woth 5 star and add that these guys are truly the best around. Fair, easy, and do great work. I almost hesitate to help them be more busy because of how much I rely on this place, but you can't find a better shop around.
We are so grateful to Chesapeake Auto Repair and Tyrone De'souza for repairing our SUV, on a Saturday!!! We were traveling from Delaware to Virginia with our 4 grandchildren, bicycles and all, and we broke down and were towed to his business. They went above and beyond to get us back on the road. We made it home safely. While we were there we talked about the Lord and how God is always on time! We will be praying for a double portion of success for his business.
Absolutely love this place! They are always friendly and courteous. They’re very upfront with what work needs to be done and what could wait for a bit and their prices are very reasonable. Just wish they were open on weekends!
Got my car towed here after my battery left me stranded. The nice guy on the phone said he would take care of everything with the tow truck driver and he did. After two or three hours my car was ready to go with a new and my battery was a fine.
These guys are great, I've taken more than 10 vehicles there now and have had no issues w/ them since. I highly recommend this company.

I love this place. New to area, I was looking for a place to work on my Audi for a couple of repairs, and they hit it out of the park. Fixed multiple issues for a very reasonable cost, and I completely trust their assessment as I found they are very honest and up front about what's going on with it. Very knowledgeable, and I will continue going back anytime I need work done! Highly recommended!

My car had no heat. The actuators needed replacing. They took my car on a Thursday so I would be able to make a trip on Friday. They are always friendly and courteous. I have CAR for many year. I definitely am satisfied with their service.
They were able to take my car in and get it fixed up in a timely manner. They gave me printout of other things to do in the future but didn't pressure me to try to fix them now.
Great experience. I had my truck towed there after my transmission went on my truck. Denny was able to rebuild the transmission and get it back to me without issues. Will definitely be using this as my local auto repair shop in the future.
There are decent shops around, but what separates Chesapeake Auto Repair from others is the level of genuine caring and customer service. In a day and age where that seems to be lost, C.A.R. is a breath of fresh air. I've dealt with both Denny & Jeremy over the past month while sorting out an issue with my Sequoia, a brake job on my daughter's Civic and most recently brakes on my Infiniti Q70L. The guys are great, prices are reasonable and work is performed competently. Not sure what more one could want or expect. They've earned all my business going forward.
I've had great experiences here for both my Chevy SS/Holden Commodore SSV Redline and VW Mk6 GTI Drivers Edition. From fluid changes to brake service to tire mount/balance, they've always been honest with info and communicative through the work process. They know I care about my cars and take good care of them, bringing peace of mind to the overall experience. Highly recommend them!
They installed my underglow, engine bay and grill lighting and even hooked it up to an OEM style button I had found online and everything works exactly how I wanted it and they fixed my TPS light being on while it was in. Great service!
Been coming here for almost 13 years for everything with all my vehicles. Went outside this shop twice and I regretted it majorly. They have always done me right by me and Jeremy along with the mechanics are very respectful, straight forward and honest. And their prices are very reasonable!

This is the home of the kindest sweetest shop I've ever been to. I dropped my car off one afternoon after they were closed. By morning, Not only were they able to get my car in almost immediately, but they had accurate quotes very quickly and were working on my car that day. Life was made easy when I only had to call once, they offer a great text messaging service too and I was able to sort out my issues that way while balancing work. I got my car back when expected, and it's running as if it were brand new. I'd go back 10 more times out of 10
Had a good experience with a costly repair on our transmission. Prices were reasonable compared to the other 2 we got. They checked to make sure of the issue before proceeding, got the part quicker, worked with me on the schedule and now our car is driving back to normal. Really friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!
