There’s so many awesome reviews for this repair shop and I wish I could say the same in my experience going to Lothian Sunoco. This shop came highly recommended to me from a friend for their fair prices and knowledgeable staff. I would have to agree that the prices are fair and the staff is really nice. Especially Robert. He will make any wrongs right that he can. However, I’m tired of taking my auto back to his facility to be fixed properly. The first time I took my auto to this repair facility it was to replace the long block. After that was repaired, I still had an oil leak. I was advised every time I got my oil changed at a different facility that there was a leak. After getting my oil changed, I would take my auto back to Lothian Sunoco each time and advised them that there was still an oil leak. Each time, Robert would advise me that he didn’t see the oil leak or that it was something else that was leaking (which I paid to have it repaired). In December, I took my auto to another repair facility, and they told me that the auto was leaking oil. I told them the extensive repairs that I had done with Lothian Sunoco and they advised me to take it back to them and let them know that there was definitely still an oil leak and it was my head gasket. I called Robert and advised him what they said and Robert said that he will fix it and I asked for the A/C compressor to be replaced as well since it was there. Which I paid for those repairs. I picked up my auto and the A/C didn’t work and it was still leaking oil (which I was advised during my oil change). I just took my auto back to Lothian Sunoco for the oil leak and the “fixed” A/C compressor. My auto was there another 3 weeks (all the repairs to my auto has taken weeks for repair) and he advised me that it was oil pan and the plug. The oil pan and plug was already replaced prior him replacing it. He never called to advise me what was wrong with the auto prior to him fixing it. He just fixed it and charged me for the repairs. However, I still paid for this repair when I picked up my auto on Monday. Now my auto is back home and its STILL leaking oil and additionally my auto is idling rougher than when I dropped it off to him. I’ve spent about $10K to have my auto fixed with Lothian Sunoco and its still not fixed. There’s been instances that pieces were not placed back on my auto that they removed from a repair. Dealing with them has been more of a headache than what its worth and it’s unfortunate because I gave them several opportunities to make it right because they came so highly recommended from my friend. What a waste…

The people were nice but had to wait a long time. Check engine light was still on and till the mechanic he came and used the machine to turn it off. I had an hour drive, my car was smoking everytime I stop and started, and my check engine light came back on. I was not told what was being fixed exactly and what else maybe wrong.

Robert and his team, are very knowledgeable. From the ladies at the Front Desk to the Technician's! I've been going here for over 20yrs and Robert's honesty and humility keep me coming back. He always looks for the best option for his customer's. It's not about the money. He puts his customer's first and gives them the information they need to make an informed decision. I brought my vehicle to Lothian Sunoco on June 22 because it was smoking very badly and they were highly recommended by Caddie Shack in Edgewater. They informed me that the seals on the transfer case were leaking which was causing the smoking. The warranty company covered the repair, but I was still charged over $300. I inquired what the charge was for and the only response I got was, "the warranty doesn't cover some things." This would have been 3 stars, but after paying for and picking up vehicle I drove it about a quarter of a mile and it immediately lost acceleration. I returned my vehicle to them and Mr. Robert informed me that my whole transfer case needed to be replaced. Mr. Robert proceeded to lie to me for over 44 days saying that he was waiting for parts and waiting for the warranty company to call back until one of Mr. Robert's attendants informed me that there was no work in the computer and no work had been completed on my vehicle. Had to have my vehicle towed to another shop. I don't mind waiting and understand that some repairs are quite lengthy, but to be blatantly lied to is another story.

Had to pull into the location due to a flat tire on a Friday around 4:00pm...come to find out the tire could not be repaired. Fortunately they had a tire in stock and did not hesitate to get us taken care of and send us on our way Josh, Robert and the entire team could not have been more helpful and more professional.

Years ago I tried this place and had a verbal altercation with one of the employees. About four years ago I began using them again and have been very pleased except for an incident that occurred in Nov or Dec 2019. Robert is the best.

The people there are friendly and will work with you. I took my car in and it needed a lot of work and they were honest about what was more urgent and worked with me on a service plan.

These folks took care of my Ford Fusion car. Had major suspension / engine mount work done. Excellent and fast service. Told me exactly what the problems were Save money from going to the dealer and go to them instead. Car totally fixed and driving the way it should. I will recommend them to anyone who asks.

I love this place... I do a lot of my own mechanical but I recently had to get an inspection and some work done to pass it.Rob did a great job job with stuff I just didn't feel like fooling with. His guys work was on point,they did certified quality work and I felt their pricing was phenomenal!
