We asked around in our local community for recommendations for a MD inspection station and Lothian Automotive was highly recommended. I understand why - great service. Made an appointment for the next day and everything went like clockwork. Love supporting local businesses that are awesome!

I went to Lothian Automotive to have my vehicle checked after a different shop did a poor transmission job. Lothian Automotive was quick to schedule me. They were professional, reasonably priced and made sure my car was safe to be on the road. I'll definitely be back! Update: this is disappointing since the last shop literally had my transmission falling off. I thought I found a place that I could trust. I went back to have wheel bearings replaced. After I picked it up, I heard rattling from under my car so I went back. They took it for a test drive. Nothing. They said they inspected the work and found nothing. In the end, I decided to take it to the dealer to inspect it. Low and behold! During the inspection, the dealer told me that the tie rods, which need to be removed for the wheel bearings, were connected by zip ties!!! Lothian never inspected their work or they would've seen that. My journey of finding a decent mechanic continues.

I have worked with Lothian Automotive a bunch and have never had a single issue with any of my vehicles. Andrew and Tommy are excellent mechanics and Angie in the office is great!

I recently went here for both of my cars. I purchased OEM parts for both my Kia and Lexus and this shop handled the install of them with expertise and MUCH more cost effective (aka cheaper) than going to a dealership. I definitely recommend this shop and trust them implicitly. This is a small business you should support.

I used to go to good old days in Deale until Daniel retired. I had a great relationship with Daniel where I knew that if he told me I needed something then I needed it. I tried the place that went in after him and a few others in the area and never quite found a replacement.. until now. I was turned on to this place by a coworker and decided to give them a try. Since that first time I have been back two other times and each and every time the work has been done quickly, professionally, and cost-effective. What really is appreciative of this place is the fact that they support military and First Responders. This last time that I had to take my vehicle to them, I was fully expecting a thousand plus bill. They called me the next day and got my vehicle in and told me that the work that I fully thought was needed was actually just a minor noise. They could have easily told me that I needed something and I would have known no different. What that told me was these folks are honest people. I'm so glad that Dave turned me on to Lothian automotive. Definitely my go to mechanic from now on. I can trust them and fully expect any repairs that are needed to be done professionally. Thank you for your support of your First Responders and Military and I'm glad to be a customer. Give them a try.. you will be too!

We are leaving the state for good in three days and of course, had an unfortunate issue with our BMW and just knew it was going to take forever and cost a small fortune since it is a BMW. Boy was I pleasantly surprised when I showed up at the shop. First the shop is really nice and very welcoming. Second, they took the car in and I sat down expecting to spend at least an hour waiting. 20 minutes later, if that long actually my car was finished and it only cost $50.00. I love this place and would highly recommend everyone visit them in the future. I can assure you if I am ever in the part of the state again and need service this is the first place I am calling.

Didn’t have any work done here, but the quote I received for a water pump replacement was stellar. I was offered a same day appointment and the price was great, but I did not have the parts in hand yet. Unfortunately due to time constraints I had no choice but to do it myself over the weekend. I travel on the road for work and my vehicle is a requirement to do my job. The receptionist was very polite and professional in giving me multiple choices for days and times. I’d really reccomend this place for price and schedule flexibility alone!

This is the best mechanic shop within 25 miles easily. Service is always quick, staff is extremely polite, prices are amazing, nothing not to love! I do most of the work on my vehicle myself, but anything that I cannot do for one reason or another will be done here!

**First time customer, received service 6/19/2023** In dire need of a reliable mechanic, as I refuse to continue patronizing Upper Marlboro Ford. (I have to LEAVE my vehicle with them all day FOR AN OIL CHANGE!) Found this business via a Google search and I spoke with a very polite gentleman over the phone who also assisted me when I arrived. When he told me the oil change would be about 20 minutes, I expected to be there at least 45 minutes, which would've been totally fine with me. No, it was REALLY 20 minutes! You damned right I will be back!

Everything about the experience was top notch. Strong communication, quick diagnosis, worked well with my extended warranty provider. They treated me like family. Highly recommended.

I just went here for the first time since moving to the area and was completely satisfied with the service. The customer service was great and was really helpful in helping me find tires for my truck and the mechanics got me in on time and out fairly quickly. Some mechanics will try and price gouge you if you don’t know any better but I thought their pricing was extremely fair. I typically change my own oil to save a few dollars but I can’t even do it cheaper myself then what they charged me. They will be the first company I call for any future repairs.

I’ve been going to Lothian Automotive for the past 15 years and would never go anywhere else for my auto service needs. The owners, Angi and Kenny, are genuinely good people. They don’t tell people that things are wrong with their vehicle just to make some money. There were plenty of times they could have charged me for work that I told them to do and they called me to tell me it didn’t need it so don’t waste my money. It is hard to find good people like that in the automotive industry. Their mechanics are very knowledgeable in all the work they do. The work is always done efficiently and quickly. I’m never without my vehicle for longer than it takes them to do the work. The pricing as always competitive with others.

I have been coming to Lothian Automotive for years. There is no shop that comes close to the customer service, price, HONESTY and quality of work. I have at least 5 shops closer to my house but gladly make the drive for them to work on all of my vehicles. Truly nowhere better

Got a flat tire driving up highway 4 today and was towed to Lothian Automotive. Tow truck driver said he brings lots of people here so I figured that was a good sign. My car doesn’t have a spare and after waiting by the highway for an hour and a half and getting towed there they could have pretty much named their price—I was stuck. When they told me they were able to patch the tire I was so relieved I would have been happy to pay any asking price, so imagine my surprise when they sent me on my way without asking for a cent! They said it was a simple patch, I already got stuck by the highway and got towed, so no worries. What?! Honestly though it means more to me than they could have possibly known. I was far from home, on a (as of yet unsuccessful) quest to solve a medical problem my son has been suffering from, and this kind gesture really took the edge off of a very stressful day. Thank you, Lothian Automotive. Since I know little about cars, what I look for in a car service center is good people I can trust. These guys seem like genuinely good people.

I take my car here to get fixed up or even basic maintenance such as an oil change. They have helped me with a muffler, windshield, radiator, A/C, new tires and more. Good mom and pop shop to go. I highly reccomend anyone to get there car worked on here.

I found them when price comparing. They only charged me $425.00 for a repair that my long term auto repair shop, Art's Automotive, was trying to charge me $1025.00. The repair was done quickly and efficiently, so, needless to say, I have dropped Art's Automotive and now Lothian Automotive is my new shop. Also, they were kind enough to pick me up when the car was ready. Very happy customer!

Lothian Auto gives 20% off for Active Duty Service Members, and Angie & her crew are some of the most honest people you could ask for in the industry. Case in point: I let a friend borrow my 2006 Jetta TDI (Diesel), and they filled it up with Regular Gas!!! Thankfully, they did not start the engine after they realized their error. I had them tow it to Lothian. Angie looked for the most cost-effective way to resolve the issue, and kept me informed throughout. Ultimately, they dropped the tank, and replaced the fuel filter. Over the next two days after picking the car back up, I noticed it was hard to start. Today, I began to smell fuel, and sure enough, I had a large fuel leak coming from my engine. I had it towed back to Lothian. Within 2 hours, Angie called to tell me that the fuel filter they installed had a bad seal. Their supplier paid for the fix, I have a new fuel filter, and the car is ready to be picked up. Cost me nothing. How many mechanics do you know take care of you like that?! Highly recommend them. They can be a little hard to find, so I hope the pictures help!

Angie and her husband are honest and respectable and work as an awesome team to provide excellent customer care. I have taken my cars there for years and I feel like I am getting good advice and a fair price.
