Edelen's mechanic was unable to diagnose the vehicle's problem for 2 weeks. During the course of those 2 weeks, Edelen's had surprisingly poor communication on an almost daily basis (i.e. "We'll call you back in 20 minutes" - then never received a call back). Vehicle was ultimately towed elsewhere to resolve the issue.
I recently had a state inspection done and these guys made the process so easy. I dropped my car off and they got it done very quickly. Highly recommend this place !

EDIT: downhill since Shannon left. Brought Jeep in for engine "putt-putter" sound and told would be addressed; was not. Full disclosure...something else, which I appreciate was fixed. Invoice was $2500.00+ and when I asked for any kind of break, was told simply, "I wish."
I bought and paid for the work, but have great buyer's remorse. Told it would be test driven by rep; was not. Told wipers would be installed gratis if I supplied (I did); were not. Zero empathy From Edelen's rep (I called and still got excuses). Lots of excuses. Asked about an oil change for Kia Optima 2016 and was quoted nearly $110.00. Have had all my cars there for nearly two decades (I go out of the way because they are out of the way, but thought service was great in the past). Cannot recommend going forward. Find someone else.
I called to see if they do inspections for foreign vehicles and they said yes. I brought in the car and I had left for two minutes and they called and said they wouldn't do it because it's a historical vehicle (mind you I told them what year it was when I called). They said their state police contact told them it needed to be a historical vehicle inspection (no such thing exists) and did not offer and solutions (the front desk girl was almost happy to tell me they wouldn't help).
I went to AAA down the street and they helped me out in a minute and set me up with an appt at the MVA the next day. In retrospect the historical plates are better but this shop's attitude is garbage.
I chose edelens because of their amazing reviews .the front desk staff is amazing on calls. I had alot of work my kia soul needed. I forget her name I'm sorry but she answers the phones and she was so patient I had alot of questions and she explained to me what was what and pricing etc. The towing arrived earlier than expected and managed to get my car to start to move and tow he was very kind and communicated well. After my service and my car was fully repaired with many new services I had got my gear shift stuck. They immediately came to my location and got it right and running in seconds. I was just scared to force anything. I believe this is family owned which I love to support. But regardless I had two separate situations w my husband and father I mentioned while just during our call and she was so sweet to wish my family well wishes on top of her awesome customer service. I appreciated their opinion and pricing with all that my vehicle needed and I feel safe knowing I also have warranties with everything I got done. Thanks edelens I hope I never need u for major services again but if I do need anything I'll be back ?
Great customer service. Shannon was very friendly and kept me updated on the repair of my 07 suburu forester. Took care of the repair in timely manner and for fair price. Highly recommended!!
I went to Edelens with a list of items from my Honda dealer that need mileage/age checkup. They saved me almost a thousand dollars from what the dealer wanted. I love them.
Don't know what I would do without Edelen's Auto Repair! I have been using their service for several years. They have always repaired my car correctly at a very fair and reasonable price. I can quickly get an appointment and the repair is done quickly. Shannon is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Bob keeps my car with over 230,000 miles running efficiently and reliably. I highly recommend them.
Never had any problems dealing with the staff and mechanics at Edelen's. I've been a customer for over 15 years and will continue to bring my vehicles there for servicing. NOTE: As a fisherman who takes his SUV and boat 750 miles to Canada for annual fishing trips, it's imperative that my SUV be in tip top shape for the journey. Great experience overall. Shannon at front desk was great. Friendly and professional who fit me in on short notice. Had issue with brakes, they fixed Quickly and affordably. Nice to have someone these days underpromise and overdeliver. My 2nd-3rd time in to Edelens, each time better than last. Will have to make them my go to shop for repairs. Tired of poor experiences with others. Definitely recommend for any and all repairs.

Edelen’s offers truly excellent service! I’ve always been apprehensive about repair shops because they usually push you to buy/repair more than needed. That is so not the case here. They’re honest and upfront, every step of the way. Shannon (front desk rep) is INCREDIBLY kind and she communicates all the details/prices with such care and professionalism. Got a major tune up on my Mustang GT. The car runs likes its brand new again. Fast service they kept me aware of the completion of my vechicle. They even called me with a reduced price from what was originally quoted. Receptionist is very helpful and polite. Will definitely return in the future.
I needed some help with my son's car that failed to start at a nearby mini-mart n a rainy Sunday night. Very few operators were able to assist, even if scheduled for the next day. A quick Google search brought me to Edelen's. While they were rather busy, even during the pandemic, they towed and repaired the car in a day. I had driven by the shop hundreds of times, but had never stopped in. Now they are my first choice for repairs. Exceptional, quality work. Extremely fair costs. Very professional service. Highly recommended!

I have taken my car to Edelen's Service Center three times and have had nothing but a positive experience. The first time I used their tow service and then two more times since they did such a great job each time. They are professional, thorough, and fair and have completed all repairs in a timely manner. I highly recommend them and will continue to bring our cars in for service.
I have used Edelen's for a number of years and they have gotten me out of some pretty tough jams. They have towed my vehicles in the middle of the night when no one else would, and they are always fair with their pricing. They get very busy at times so it is sometimes difficult to get things quickly, but the work is always well done.
Great experience with Edelen's. Our friend's car broke down on 50. Edelen's was courteous, from the man who answered the phone to our tow driver Tom. They gave an ETA of 30-45 minutes to get to us, and were prompt.
Tow companies have earned a reputation for being sharks, and charging an arm and a leg for towing. I'd obviously never want to pay for a tow, but based on past experiences with other tow companies I was expecting our friend to have to empty her bank account to pay. We were pleasantly surprised to find the rates fair.
I was visiting my father in Maryland and on my way home to Connecticut when my car started to get hot. I managed to get my car to Edelen's Service Center very close by. I Googled the nearest place. I was so thankful Edelen's came up because these guys are just the best! I have to say I was stuck with two young children and they squeezed my car in and my car needed a new water pump a big job. They did the timing belt as well since they had to take everything out to get to the water pump and my car needed it. They were fantastic in every way. They made sure the car was in great working order and they turned around the car very quickly and they didn't over charge me knowing I was stuck and had to pay whatever the cost. They didn't take advantage of me just the opposite. They took care of me. How I wish I had a mechanic like this in Connecticut. My car is still running great. No problems at all working like a dream. I highly recommend this garage and I will come back and visit next time I am in Maryland! They are just the best! Thanks Guys!
I have been a customer for about 10 years. All my experiences have been positive. They are knowledgeable and honest. That is tough to find in auto repair. Most people dread going to the auto repair shop due to unexpected costs. One experience at Edelen's and you won't feel that way any more. They do what you request at a fair price.
