Phenomenal team at AC Provos. My daughter’s car was accidentally damaged during a tow (no negligence, just one of those things that can happen) and Anthony immediately stepped up. He gave her his card, promised to cover the repair, and followed through on his word without hesitation. That level of honesty and accountability is rare. This is exactly the kind of company I want to do business with, and I’ll be recommending them to everyone I know.

I called these guys because I used them in the past and they were awesome! This time not so much, we got a very rude call at 7:30am by the driver asking if truck ran, if plow went up, and if he could get to it because of the snow storm that just hit. My wife told him truck ran, drives, and plow went up. Also told him that I plowed the road so he could get to it. So we get a call at 9am by driver telling us he was here but he wasn't. He went down the wrong street, and unplowed street and got stuck for an hour. We went to help try to pull him out with our truck and yet they still charged us the full rate. I even went and bought salt to bring to him and he couldn't bother to call us to tell us he got out!
Had a very challenging three days trying to figure out what was going on with my car and trying to finagle a tow to the dealer as it was under warranty- Ford Roadside Assistance contracted out to these guys and they were amazing and communicative and kind. I cannot thank you enough.
Went to grab my stuff from my totaled car, driver that let me into the lot was incredibly friendly and professional! Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is I had a little bit of difficulty finding the place.
Got myself stuck in my own driveway (too overconfident in the New England snow). From the initial request to being fully winched out was no more than 30 mins. Guy who helped was extremely kind. Will definitely use again if I need any kind of towing!!!
So tonight I managed to end up well off the beaten path in Maine after my GPS took me on a wrong turn and I was stuck at the bottom of a steep driveway that was completely covered in black ice. Zero way I could get out. Called AAA and they sent AC Provos. These guys were *incredible*. Showed up in less than an hour and managed to pull me up the hill and out of danger. It was over the 30' covered by AAA and I was terrified at the possible cost but they were incredibly reasonable. Also, super friendly, professional and even though it was snowing and the conditions were awful, they made sure there wasn't so much as a scratch on my car.
I pray if you're ever in a bind and need a tow, these are the guys that show up.

Hi to everyone CJ came today to Fryeburg Maine and picked up my motorcycle and drove me back with my girlfriend in his truck all the way to Oakham Massachusetts. CJ is a fine man and professional. My vehicle was involved in an accident,and AC Provos towed and stored my vehicle in a locked lot. This happened two days before Christmas, so the office was closed for a few days. When I was able to get into the car all of my belongings were right where I left them. Awesome!!! everyone was great there!!!
Al arrived within 1/2 hour from my initial call to USAA. He was very polite and had my 1996 Mercedes sl loaded within 20 minutes. I was very impressed withe the care that Al took with my car! I have been one of their loyal customers for 3 years. That is now a thing of the past. You couldn't see my vehicle? You had my keys!! So you must not of looked very hard. 2 days for a job that took you just over an hour. I guess I really do have the attitude problem you informed my lady of. Great routine buisness here.
Lady was defensive at our first arrival. Than wanted tons of info before we could even see my car. It was in an accident that we didn't even know what had happened. Than act like they own it, when we finally got to see it, she made it seem like we couldn't touch it. Couldn't get anything out of it. Without her getting her towing fee first. Than they wanted my car too. It was unfair. Maybe some people don't care about their cars but when it's all you have you tend to be a little hostile at other people claiming it's theirs. They're not the friendliest people but after you pay them their better. Dumb.
I recently went here to buy a truck and thought I had found the one... So I took it for a test drive to find that there was a front end shaking...i mentioned it to the car salesman who promised to have it taken care of before I purchased the vehicle. So when they called and told me it was all taken care of I was excited and took off a day from work to go and pick it up. Signed all the paperwork and took the car (stupid me) before even checking to make sure they had actually fixed it. Guess I trusted the wrong kind of people. Got 2 minutes off the lot before taking it back because it still had the same problem and so they decide they are going to "work on it" and they call me back 3 days later to tell me they couldn't find the issue and were going to have to refund my bank loan. Then they continued to make me wait for them to refund it for another week and a half and didn't pay for the accumulated interest of $100 from my bank that wouldn't have racked up in the first place if they just paid it or didn't sell me a piece of trash. I would highly recommend not giving your business to this company.
At 6:30 pm, I was stuck in a parking lot in the pouring rain with a car that wouldn't start. I called my Allstate road service, and an AC Provo tow truck arrived in about ten minutes! After checking the battery which was fine, he determined it was likely electrical, towed the car to my designated auto service company and gave me a lift home, including my groceries. Please note I am elderly, and disabled and they could not have been kinder and more helpful. Wonderful service. Highly recommend.
AC Provos was assigned to our dead battery call through roadside assistance with Progressive Insurance. The driver arrived within the one hour time frame quoted (we live in the middle of nowhere) and immediately got our car up and running. Professional, very friendly and prompt. I hope that if we need roadside assistance at home again that AC Provos will be assigned to the job. Thank you for great service!!
These experiences are chiefly about the driver. Terrific job all around. Arrived right on time. Driver was careful, experienced and professional with my pick-up and loaded it effectively and in short order. Traveled and delivered to service station with same care as loading.
Not many towing experiences in my lifetime, but this was the best I’ve had.

AC provos sucks. The sell crappy cars that only last a few months. I got a 2004 dodge neon from them a few months ago and I noticed the knob that adjusts the drivers side mirror was broke. I made an appointment for AC provos to fix it since it was under a limited warranty and when I got there I ended up waiting for 2 hours for them to tell me that there was no tech available to look at it. I had an appointment but there were no techs that could look at it. Are they retarded? They told me that I'd have to come back another time. And shortly after that I noticed that the car would shift weirdly while accelerating and noticed that the transmission had a leak so I decided that I was going to stop making the payments on it after the fuel pump went which was $500 to fix and try to make it last until June of this year when the sticker expires but they repoed it from my work lyesterday which is fine. One less stress to deal with but now I gotta go get my house keys that are in it and if they don't give them to me I'm calling authorities. I don't even know how these retards are still in business. Has anybody else had issues with them or the cars you have gotten from them?
Had a blowout on my 20' camper, called my roadside assistance and they sent out AC Provo's. The driver, Anthony, was professional and did a great job. Possibly the best experience I've ever had with a tow truck. Couldn't have been happier with the service.
After as delicate as one can be lifting a Suburban out of a ditch and remarkably making no further damage AND making the owner of the property whose ditch my wife landed in happy, there is no better towing company in York county. Since then, we use them to tow unauthorized vehicles out of our business parking lot, not because they are convenient (which the are) but because the take the utmost care. The worst thing a towing company can do is damage your vehicle during the tow, and AC Provos is remarkably good at picking up your vehicle without damage and soothing the nerves of everyone involved. Cudos!
Horrible place, vehicle got towed there after accident, owner refused to let me get my belongings out until I threatened to call the police, repeatedly tried to get me to sign over the title to cover a $245 bill, he said I would not get any more than $200 for my truck in scrap and the first offer I got from another scrapyard was $600, ended up selling for $800, very rude and unprofessional. I highly recommend never to go there for anything. DO NOT LET THEM BULLY YOU INTO GIVING THEM YOUR VEHICLE.
Fraudulent Sticker Alert! just like a lot of people who go here have poor credit as I did I went to this business and purchased 1 2002 Chevy Suburban from them on 3/20/13 on this day of purchase the outside of the vehicle looked amazing once inside the interior was banged up with cookie crumbs all thru the floor and the leather looked like a cat had a field day in there but I was able to look past all of this due to I am buying someone else old car but just before I left I notice the Maine State Inspection Sticker only had 7-8 months left on it and when I told the mechanic this and that I was gonna go get a new sticker on it at VIP he went inside grabbed a window scraper and scrapped off the old Inspection sticker and put the new one on not even doing an Inspection and says there you go a nice shiny green sticker! as shady as that seemed on 3/21/13 I brought the vehicle to VIP anyways and got it inspected and it Failed with a list of hazards and other things to the point where the State of Maine Inspections had to get involved and rip the sticker off and gave me a one way ticket back to Provo's where I returned the vehicle and instead of offering me a different vehicle the mechanic gave me attitude and said the owner will be out in a minute to give me back my down payment so yes they at least they did that but my advice to anyone before you buy a vehicle from them please take it to your garage and have them do their own sticker inspection 12.50 is worth it if it saves you thousands a month down the road!! do not say you have not been warned!!
