It's the smallest mardens I think I've been in, the entrance was a bit of a cluster, but the store was surprisingly really organized. The hardware section has a weird setup but I went for brushes and got arm fulls of other great stuff. Cashier's were fast. Parking was easy and close, right across the street.
Marden’s is a fun place to stop by, you never know what you will find. We make a habit of dropping in whenever we are driving by. I am known to plan appointments around their hours. I never stop in if I don’t want to spend extra money that day, because I always find something I want or even better, something we need.
Sidewalk curbs are very high with little handicap ramps to get on the sidewalks on Main St. Some prices a little high for discount and discontinued merchandise. Nice variety and selection of goods.
Visited Lincoln for a couple days and marden's was in walking distance. Incredible array of items and great deals. Nothing like it where I live. Luckily I knew I'd be flying home so was forced to be restrained.
I like how that have products discounted. You never know that your going to find here. I like that they have bread discounted as well. But you better buy a large quantity of something you like if you can afford it because it might not be there when you come back.
There’s no place quite like Mardens anywhere but the Great State o Maine. The young woman in the clothing department in Lincoln was incredibly sweet and helpful. You don’t get customer service like that anywhere!
Great customer service. I was able to exchange my spray paint for a different can and the woman was very fair with me. They got awesome deals on good spray paint there right now
Awesome and fun store! Always a must stop anytime my husband and I are in the area. The prices on their locked goodies can't be beat! We purchased a Nintendo Switch Super Mario Party game for $27. The welcome mats they have were as low as $3.49!
I've been to a bunch of different mardens stores I think I'll say I like this one the best even though I live in Bangor. It's just laid out better and seemed to be more organized and neat.
I really like Mardens. Friendly staff and lots of merch on the floor. Easy to burn a bit of time checking out what they have. U may just find something u could use at a good price.
The only reason that its not a 5star is parking in front is a pain sometimes. Let's call it a 4.5
I love the fact that mardens buy from both coasts. What do I mean by this well simplely put you will find items that normally aren't sold in the local market and are from west of the Mississippi. I love that fact as it makes mardens one of the few stores to get really unique hard to find stuff.
Also we got a Dutch oven that sold for 100 on walmart for 15 and been using it ever since, insane bargain there.
The staff is very friendly and always helpful when you're looking for something. They've done a great job with organization of the store, however, I didn't give 5 stars because it seems like the prices have skyrocketed and I can go online to the name brand website and get things for less than I can in Marden's which is really sad. I used to post reviews about my amazing Marden's finds and it's been months and months before I found anything even worth taking a second look at.
Editing this review a year later and happy to day things have gone back to “affordable” - I’m not sure what the hiccup was but they have had lots of name brand lately for a great price ❤️
nice little store. but when i came here and got a chocolate bar, all of them were smashed like someone had done it on purpose. that was not a good first time here. i do enjoy the fact that the prices are overall cheap. i spent under a dollar for one of the candy bars. i may return here someday!
A not so typical outlet store. Stocked with last seasons Walmart overstock at even more affordable prices and laced with non food food drugstore tools tarps even furniture and clothes just as much as gifts and nicknacks. Mardens certainly feels like your dream come true garage sale only without buyers remorse. Excellent friendliness and great customer service. Unbeatable price quality ratio. Mardens took My heart by storm and I happily returned several times.
This is the worst Marden's Ive been to. So cluttered and dirty. I can understand why the staff is less than friendly, when having to work in an environment thats in such disarray. Its worth the trip to Brewer Marden's where the open floor plan, tidy isle, better selection, and better prices make it easy to find what you need!
I revisited today to give it one last chance, the downstairs is still a dusty fire hazard but I was pleasantly surprised at the upstairs. This morning the isles were clear of clutter ( with the exception of one pallet in front of the cooking items )the walkways were clean and items were neatly on shelves. Every employee I came into contact with greeted me with a smile and short pleasantries! It just felt so much bigger and brighter now that you can see the floors and the smiles. Good Job!
I usually come to this Marden's when I have alot of time. I was looking specific, um, while they have a MANY, MANY items. It not well organized and the staff is not very helpful or responsive. But I've found some bargains, like all Marden's. I'm not saying don't go, just plan on spending some time.
I truly used to love this place. Not anymore, everything is much more expensive. Yesterday there were several in line during covid mind you and they cannot be bothered to open another register. Plenty of new workers standing there doing nothing, not wait a minute she ran a nnto me then was rude when I said excuse me.Mardens has been a ? ghtmare recently.
Love this store. Got a little bit of everything at awsome prices!! $200 Muck boots for $80!! CANT BEAT THAT PRICE!! Also today and for however long they have alot of good stuff marked down 40%! Big Rubbermaid totes for $12! Love this place. Deff recommend this store to any bargain shoppers!
This is a salvage company that you never know what you'll find. From furniture, and flooring, to shoes, and clothing. Everything is at bargain prices. They have all sizes, health and beauty, and regular household supplies. They got whatever you need to keep your shed productive. They have hardware. And just random items like rock salt lamps for 9.99$, which I bought one of today. It's a fun place to shop, and won't put a deep hole in your wallet.
I recently purchased a mattress that just didn’t work for us. I no longer had a receipt but I called them and they gave us a store credit toward the purchase of a new one. It was a pleasure to work with them and I have a wonderful mattress at a great price.
In an era of Scan n Go/Self checkout stores it is wonderful to find a store that still believes in making their customer happy. Thank you Mardens !!
Love Marden's!! I never leave without a full cart! About 10 years ago I found unopened packages of New Kids on the Block marbles for $1 each!! One of the happiest moments of my life!!

no where near the crazy low prices the Lincoln store used to have 20 years ago before they became such a big outfit. same variety as any other mardens just a different layout. I miss the old days of checking these stores as I traveled to see what each had. It used to be a different experience in each store.
A MUST do. You’ll need a couple hours to really go thru the place to see ALL the great deals. My guests just love this plaice. I take them thinking I don’t need a thing and walk out with multiple bag fulls. Even my husband loves to go to Mardens. Levi’s $20, Carthart T-shirts $8.

Great for the area. They have a little bit of everything and for a small community it's well needed. Prices are good and selection is always changing. Store is not well maintained and very run down but clean and easy to navigate.
Marden's is a nice place to go if you need department store stuff, but, want to look for a bargain. You might not always find what you need here, and the packaging may be damaged, but, it'll be really cheap if you do find what you need. Staff is usually helpful, and, they have a wide selection of furniture. Not a bad place to shop around at!
