This was such a curated place where each corners had wonderful little treasures, that it was a joy to walk around! From books, to trinkets, to coins, to almost anything you could think of.
So happy that I got to visit this store! ❤️? And also thank you to the owner for putting together such an amazing detailed collection of stuff, you can really feel the love and dedication spent on searching each trinket.? Will 100% be coming back!
It's Wednesday and it isn't open, the outside looks SOOOOO inviting. Wish the website listed the days that it is open, since we are traveling from out of state. (I gave it a 5 star because of how amazing the outside looks.)
This was an antique shop housed in a very old New England-style farmhouse and barn. The proprietor had a huge assortment of great finds and all of them reasonably priced. I loved how the rooms were arranged as an actual living house museum.
Upstairs, in the two bedrooms, a bibliophile will be sure to find delight in the wall-to-wall bookshelves, all overflowing with books of every interest from every era.
If you can catch them when they're open, there is quite a collection, including a ton of books; items are very well arranged, especially in the main house.
I pulled in at 5:40pm on a Friday to look at my navigation and send a text or two as I was passing through. Not 5 min later the owner came out hot as could be yelling at me to leave and get off his lawn and property. I tried explaining that I wasn't there to disturb or even stay more than a few minutes to get turned back around and also was under the impression this was a business not a residence. He continued shouting over me and wouldn't stop shouting until I pulled into the lot across the road. As a business owner and human being the hostility was random and uncalled for especially given the situation. Please do not visit this place in or out of business hours. I frequent thrift and antique shops and find some really cool stuff and meet awesome people. This one's not worth it.
Tons to look through. There's a small portion of the barn. Then there's most of the main floor and second floor of the house. All sorts of old stuff, mostly smalls, the kind of collectibles you can put on the wall, shelf, or table. Will definitely go back.
We were on vacation stopped here to check the place out it's worth the stop had a lot of antiques and signs wish I had more time to stay but we were on our way to Maine owner was very friendly and took time to chat
