Took me a while to write this because he was very nice and came on his off time so I could come pick up my truck. But nice can't fix what is actually wrong with the truck unfortunately. The person who was working on my truck left his job. I reached out to the dealer I bought the truck from and asked who they use because if they fixed it before I bought it they must be good. When I first called up I was very upfront I either need a ball joint or a right front strut. I told him i don't wanna be screweed over do you actually know what your looking at he ensured me he had been doing this 40 years and he wouldn't let me walk out of there without it being safe. He never brought my truck in to look at it. There was another problem to, the ABS and my four-wheel drive was disabled. He told me that dodge owned all the rights and he couldn't tell what was wrong and I needed to bring it to dodge. After dealing with them it came to be a wheel speed sensor. When I picked up the truck something caught my attention he said "all your lights are off" i should have took that in account he probably just shut them off. But the noise in the front end was gone and I said finally someone to trust. After 2 weeks the noise had been back stronger then ever and I had barely driven it. When I brought it back to him and his crew they they said everything was good but my bushing was dry.......boy were they wrong. ALL along right by where he was my ball joint was bad. But because he never truly looked in the first place he replaced the strut that probably didnt need to be. Now I'm out the money for everything because nothing got fixed. And when I brought it to another garage he was able to plug his machine in and read exactly what was wrong with my ABS system. Im extremely frustrated I spent money on stuff that was fine. And I got lied right to my face when I brought it back so they could right their wrong. They were to worried about my tires (which have been changed) that they didnt fix what was actually wrong. Not saying he's a bad guy but that was money wasted and I still have to fix my truck. 🤷♀️
I found my new mechanic! I went to Troy this morning to get my car inspected after a suggestion from a friend. I always get nervous that I’m going to getting taken advantage of due to being a young female but he was so kind and when he put my car on the lift he talked me through what he was looking and and pointed out things that might need to get fixed in the future to give me a heads up which is very nice. He made the process easy and painless! I will be suggesting him to everyone especially females. Thank you so much!
Best garage I have EVER been to!! Troy is extremely intelligent! He's very fair and will tell you how it is and what needs to be done to make your vehicle SAFE! He's willing to work with you to make sure that you are safe! His garage is TOP NOTCH!!
Troy the best, awesome to have a trustworthy mechanic close by. He is the man and will always be straight up and be fair. Trust Troy to do the job right while at fair price!
Had trouble getting my ford into a shop and Troy reassured me he would get it right in to have the head gasket fixed, 7 months passed and the truck sat than was told it wouldn’t start, finally got it up and running and than it sat some more and kept being told it was going to cost too much yet I had no problem paying, I ended up having it towed back to my house and the lug nuts were not even tightened, my wind shield was cracked and it was pissing out oil than he lowballed me into selling it to him for cheap, also purchased my stolen tools in the middle of my divorce fully aware of the situation since my father in law is one of his few employees, be careful who you trust
He is the best worker on this side of the earth, he's grate so is his workers,you need no appointment,just show up he'll tell you what you need done and how he can save you time and money,he stands behind everything his shop does he can fix anything,even your house he's just that grate ,if he tells you the moon is green then you can bet it's green ,planty of parking, handicap assess able,bathroom ,
Knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Troy treats people like actual people. He's honest and straightforward, which nowadays is almost impossible to find.
Troy's toys is an incredible place. Troy is great to work with, expedient, and pleasant. He and Dan work diligently to get people back into their vehicles as fast as they can while completing top notch work!
I am not from this area. I found Troy's Toys on the internet. I am so happy. What I thought was going to be a very expensive job turned out to be under a hundred. Thanks for being so honest and and thorough job. I am on a fixed income and boy did that help. Thanks Troy you have my business.
My friend refered me here to Troys and it was the best move I've ever made. After my first visit and the amazing service and curtisy they showed me I decided this was going to be the only garage I'd use going forward. Well I had to come back today because of a grinding noise in my front brakes. We use our vehicles for deliveries so it takes a beating on these Maine roads. Dan ( the mechanic)took them apart and all it was was a bunch of mud/dried dirt. He cleaned and greased them. They saved me over $200. Thank you for being so honest and trustworthy. That's a hard trait to find these days.
Troy and his mechanic are great at helping their customers, are very professional but are also silly, and they work efficiently to get your car back on the road. And what's great is...they have started doing inspection stickering as well!
Had the transmission rebuilt and they messed it up the first time and they were kind enough to replace it with a new transmission.... or so we were told. Still paid over 3k for it to be done. 6 months later had to take it in to another shop and found out it wasn't new and had caused some other damage to other parts of the car..... beware, they clearly don't know what they are doing with transmissions!
My fuel line was pinched between bell and block, all the bell block bolts were missing (meaning they weren't added on! ) vent hose was in the wrong location, due to their neglect it caused an exhaust leak, I have children that ride in this car. Thank GOD I had someone who knew what they were doing show me everything that was wrong!
