Patriot auto was awesome to work with! They got me in quickly and worked around my schedule, which I really appreciated. The service was excellent, fast professional, and they clearly take pride in their work. It's great to find a shop that stands behind what they do definitely recommend.
I feel terrible that I actually recommended this shop to friends. One service the Tech failed to tighten lug nuts, I said to myself... everyone makes mistakes, a few months later brought in one of our daily drivers for a diagnostic. after they began work and a pretty high quote, I wanted to a second opinion. I offered to pay for the diagnostic Chis told me to come get the car. The team at patriot auto completely failed to tell me they drilled though the valve cover putting debris into the engine. I never made it to the second opinion, our car engine seized on the way to a different shop. I ended up selling the car for parts.
Owners are great and prices are fair. Have an "older" car, not a problem. They don't make a fuse and treat you fair. I highly recommend their services if you are looking for that good local mechanic who will tell you everything straight and who you don't have to worry that you are being scammed. Great guys. I won't bring my car to anyone else if I can help it.

While on vacation in Maine our check engine light turned on. We live about 500 miles away and were starting to panic and very few auto repair places had availability. Chris at Patriot Auto took us immediately, checked the issue and repaired the issue a misfired spark plug P0301 in less than an hours time. Additionally, he gave us advice on further repair and maintenance neexs and was very reasonable in price. He saved our vacation and truly saved us from encountering any other difficulties while driving through Maine. We plan to return to Maine again and are grateful to have a trustworthy mechanic we can go to if needed for our Honda Odyssey minivan!

I had them work on my work truck told them I needed a quick turn around. They told me to drop it off on a Monday and the actually had it done the same day. Very happy and I highly recommend them.
I went here based on 5.0 reviews. I am very glad I did. Chris and his garage deserve a 5.0 for Honesty. My repair was determined to be very minor but it could have been turned into a costly repair very easily. I appreciate their Honesty an Professionalism. I Highly Recommend Patriot Automotive!!!
We have gone to Merchant's for about 34 years and they have been great. However, since they could not get us in a couple times we had Patriot do some work for us. As one who has done quite a bit of mechanic work in the past, I can say that we experienced the highest level of mechanical knowledge, honesty, integrity and a fair price. Further, one of our cars is an older Saab and Chris went the "second mile" in finding a guaranteed rebuilt throttle body for us--saving us a couple hundred bucks. As I pastor a church in Ellsworth, we know a lot of people, and a number take their vehicles to Patriot. Always there has been a very good report of their work. One had a repair fail in a week, and Patriot made it good. Nobody is perfect, obviously, but this is a good place in all of our experience and hearing from many people.
Great service and price. Chris and his team took car of my truck last summer. They were prompt and thorough. This year once again Patriots Auto, took great car of my new car, and my sons car. We went to several local mechanics who claimed to help but never really did anything. Brought it here and within a few days, my car is running way better and they diagnosed what needed to be done without any extra. Really impressed with their service and their friendliness! Definitely going back! Totally recommended!!
