I was traveling on Friday from NJ to Downeast ME. My engine oil indicator came on as I was coming into Portland. Ended up at O’Reilly Auto Parts in South Portland. The young man working the counter was so helpful and friendly. He helped me with my problem and had me back on the road in no time! I highly recommend!!!!
I may be jaded afyer 40 years selling to the automotive aftermarket. Counter help are basically cashiers, not very knowledgeable. Went to pay and shelf price was less than computer price .
Chip was very helpful! He went above and beyond to get us a battery - in a snowstorm to an island! Really outstanding customer service - thank you Chip!

Just a overall great,(shopping) experience, that has not only become a favorite,(looked forward to)chore, but one that seems to gets better AND BETTER with each shopping opportunity, It's like a candy store for new car lovers! I just got my very own,(bought and paid fer)Vehicle,( a 2017 Chevy Malibu LS!). I needed new lights.
The overall variety in model parts, is as great as the CUSTOMER SERVICE! The AMAZING auto tech clerks are not only friendly, BUT possess a large KNOWLEDGE of auto issues, parts and solutions, INCREDIBLE PATIENCE and UNDERSTANDING with customer needs, wnts and DERSIRES. Did I forget to mention HELPFUL!

A little DISCLOSURE:
I am a homeless, 50 somethingish man... A recovering drug addict, and a survivor of abuse... and I have some issues with Mental Health... (of course!)and so, what so impressed me? was the young A.T. clerk who assisted me after telling me that it had been a long, hard day... had a smile, a great personality and an enthusiasm to tackle a job that she was not a 100% familiar with... and yet, it took her about 15 minutes start to finish, and did an outstanding job! But it was what she said when I asked what the bill would amount to... did I mention that I had called maybe 25 minutes before she finished with my lights, and that I was under the false impression that they were set to close within minutes...
What did she quote me? She said it was ON THE HOUSE... FREE? I was floored! That at the end of her LONG, and TIRING, HARD DAY SHE gave a 110% to assist me, with a smile, and confidence... and she charged me zero. Zip!
A fair price for a such priceless customer service......
My battery died last night, and I was in a crunch to get it replaced. Walked right in and immediately was helped by Mike and JD in the VIP shops and service department. Overall wonderful service, they made a stressful experience quick and simple. Costs were explained to me and the battery swap took less than 15 minutes! Overall I am very satisfied and look forward to returning to this location for any further work that needs to be done to my car.
I went to buy a brake light today, they require face masks and every employee was wearing them. Customer service was superb. I went to a different auto parts place in Portland first but none of the employees were wearing them so I left. O'Reily's is my new go to place for parts! Thanks guys!
They try to tell me to take my car home and then bring it back later for an appointment for a simple alternator check. Honestly, I took it straight over to a repair shop who was able to check it within just a few minutes and diagnose the problem. And I didn't have to pay $100 for an hour of labor for them just to check the alternator.
The guy was awesome gave me a discount on a battery jumper because online it said it was in stock but they didn't have it at the store. Excellent customer service
Had the auto power inverter I needed plus the extension. Be aware however that if you visit early between 8 AM & 9 AM that there is only one person working so it can take a long time to check out.
Staff here and friendly and helpful. They will come out and help you with headlights and other lights as long as they’re relatively easy to get to. Prices are fair and they will price match any exact or similar product with a reputable ad or website for another local seller. They have a vast array of parts here and if they don’t have it usually can have it the same day within an hour or two.
I've been a loyal customer of O'Reily Auto in South Portland, Manager Mike is an informative guy who makes every effort to communicate effectively with clients no matter how difficult we can be. Yes WE. Mike made sure, repeatedly, that I was satisfied after having issues w my Hundai last year. Just left again today, getting my summer tires on. Mike provided a few specific safety checks for me and welcomed me back to follow-up with an alignment if I needed. I also got to do my homework on the free Wifi. Top notch technicians and fair prices. Thanks Mike and the crew!

Amazing! Stephen was beyond helpful in getting me not only the right windshield wiper blades but came out in the rain to put them on my car for me. This place will always be my go to for the everyday auto parts needs.

Called ahead to have my headlight bulb replaced. 13$ later and a pro install by Matt, and this happy customer was quickly on his way. Since there was no tip jar, I would urge management to give Matt a raise rewarding his excellent service.
