I’ve been a loyal customer to Renee’s Auto Repair for years, I would speak highly about them, and refer them to family and friends but no more. I’ve been bringing my 2001 Ford f150 there for years trying to get the truck in tip top shape. I’ve went to them multiple times to fix oil leaks. I told them I don’t want any oil leaks in my truck. The truck barely moved because of my job. They fixed the rear main seal, timing cover, and valve cover gaskets. Every time I would leave the shop I would clean under my truck to make sure I didn’t have any leaks. The last job they did on my truck was the timing cover. I told them I still had an oil leak and the mechanic said it was my valve cover gaskets. I was glad when he said that because I knew they fixed that for me in the past. Well I pulled out the receipt and they said the warranty was only a year for the valve cover gaskets. I didn’t fuss or argue with them I simply left and won’t return because the valve cover gaskets was don’t maybe 3-5 years ago but I kept going back since then because my oil leak never left. I wish they would’ve showed more support to a loyal customer rather than it felt like a money grab all the time.
10/10 recommend. Only mechanic I’ve ever trusted! They worked on my car and fixed all kinds of problems through the years until I got a new one then looked over the new one and pointed out a minor sensor and instructed me on how to change it myself as requested ! Very honest and trustworthy people wish I could give 10 stars :)
Highly recommend you service your vehicle here! Family owned and definitely some of the nicest and most knowledgeable people I’ve had the pleasure to deal with. My repair was seamless and the cost was exactly what I was quoted. Top notch repair shop.
If you need Auto Repairs done in St.Martinville, please go to Mr.Smitty in Broussard. Rene’s Auto Repair are absolutely terrible people. Items were missing from my car and they held my vehicle for 3 days without repairing it. When I sent my complaint to the BBB, the receptionist who is at the desk was the person who responded. She is unprofessional and doesn’t accurately depict the truth. They told me they had all of the parts for my car and that it would be done within the next day, because I work and have many responsibilities. I also told her that, the car is my only means of transportation and I needed a fast turn around. She agreed and Mr. Renee agreed that my car would be done. I did everything she asked me to do, all for them to keep my vehicle and DID NOT touch it. As she stated in the report for the BBB. She also said that I shouldn’t have been driving the car with a leak but how am I supposed to get the car to them to figure out the problem if I don’t drive it to them and get it sorted out? They have a terrible demeanor and they are not about customer satisfaction at all.I honestly don’t know how they have been in business as long as they have. NO ONE SHOULD GO TO THEM, my belongings are missing and they did not fix my vehicle! My keys should not have been left in the ignition and I shouldn’t have had to call multiple times to see the status of my vehicle when they promised a fast turn around. I sent them a voicemail to express my frustration and yes I did curse at them. They deserved it. You don’t keep people’s vehicles after you promised them a quick turn around and then when they go to pick the vehicle up; not only did y’all not work on it, it was opened and unlocked on a busy highway. How are they ensuring their customers vehicles are even safe if they are willing to leave them unlocked with the keys in the ignition? I don’t think they need to do better, I think they need to be shut down. And let other qualified individuals like Mr.Smitty in Broussard fix their vehicles. None of my belongings were taken out of my car and he has a fast turnaround, he also isn’t as expensive as Renee’s. They charge an arm and a leg for garbage as far as I can see. DO NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE REPAIRED HERE!! If I could give no stars, I would have. They are terrible people. Shame on yall!
Jan and Mr Rene are the best people you ever want to meet! Honest, friendly, hard working, honestly you will not meet a better family than Mr Rene, Mrs Jan and their mechanics (adult kids)
