I had a great experience with them repairing damage to my driver's door due to someone backing into it. It took 2.5 weeks total but the insurance provided a rental car for that time. The only thing I could have asked for differently is status updates along the way. I had to call them each time, but that may not be an issue for non-anxious people.

Very transparent with everything being done. Receptionist was very nice and made sure we had a breakdown of the costs and gave us two copies of the receipts.

Ray Hyde did an amazing job on my car and even when my insurance tried to play over me Chris and Danielle were amazing in making sure that everything was handled correctly. They will forever have my business not to mention my car look great!!!

I took my vehicle to Ray Hyde Paint and Body for an estimate of about $2,500. They told me parts had to be paid in full before repairs, so I paid for all parts and labor upfront. I dropped my vehicle off on Monday, 11/11/25 and received daily updates throughout the week. On Friday, 11/14/25 I was told my vehicle was ready.
I returned my rental and arranged for a ride to pick up my vehicle, only to find that the damage had not been repaired. The driver front bumper end cap, the lower valance, and air deflector was still the same damaged parts that were supposed to be replaced,
When I brought this to the attention of the office staff, they claimed they only “take payments,” even though they were the same people who originally wrote my estimate. They called the body shop manager, Chris, who immediately became argumentative and insisted everything had been repaired. He even went as far as digging through the trash to show me parts he claimed were replaced. Ultimately, it became clear they had ordered and installed the wrong parts—replacing things that weren’t broken while ignoring the actual damage.
Then, instead of taking responsibility, they asked me to pay another $570 so they could order the correct parts. So I ended up with an unrepaired vehicle, paid for 5 days of a rental for nothing, and was asked for even more money because of their mistake.
This was an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience. I will never bring a vehicle to Ray Hyde Paint and Body again, and I absolutely cannot recommend them to anyone. A complete disappointment and, in my opinion, 100% scam.

I appreciate the acknowledgment that the wrong parts were ordered and installed, but several points in your reply are inaccurate and need to be corrected.
First, at no point did anyone “get me to stop yelling.” I was understandably frustrated after discovering that my vehicle which that had already paid for in full was not repaired at all. Pointing out unrepaired damage is not “yelling,” and characterizing it that way is unprofessional and dismissive.
Second, the claim that you did not ask for additional money is simply false. Chris told my husband that the business would cover additional expenses and then the receptionist/estimator contacted the company paying for the repairs to collect additional money, the receipt clearly shows an additional $570 was paid.
Third, my husband did not “apologize for becoming heated.” He expressed frustration because we had just returned our rental vehicle based on your assurance that repairs were complete, only to find out the damage had not been repaired.
Lastly, you failed to mention an important detail: An appointment for me to return was never made, I was told that when the parts came in I would receive a phone call to schedule an appointment. When I did receive the phone call, I explained that I have a very tight schedule and I would contact you as soon as I am able to schedule a time to return.
Your response attempts to shift the blame on myself and my husband as the customer, instead of taking clear responsibility for the errors made from start to finish made by your employees and your company. The facts remain:
• I paid in full upfront.
• I was told my vehicle was repaired when it wasn’t.
• The wrong parts were ordered and installed.
• An additional $570 was paid due to your mistake.
• And I was the one left without a repaired vehicle after five days of rental charges.
Your public reply does not reflect the full truth of the situation, and it certainly doesn’t reflect good customer service.
***Final Update*** 11/21/2025
I called to schedule the return of my vehicle, and they were quick to get me in with an appointment to drop it off on 11/20/2025. I was able to pick it up today, 11/21/2025. Chris and the other employees apologized for the mix-up and explained it was an honest mistake they wanted to make right. My husband and I appreciate their effort and the final result. The repairs are complete, and the vehicle looks excellent.

Excellent customer service. They went above was expected. Somehow the survey issued to me had a question that was not appropriate at that time and it cause it to appear like I was dissatisfied, but I'm very satisfied. I just got the car backva few days ago so it's not like I know if I need to return it for any reason. Maybe remove that question from survey or wait at lease 30 days or so before sending survey. But overall it is definitely a 9.5. Less than 10 only because of the survey questions not because of the quality of work. The quality of work is excellent.

Had our vehicle repaired after a collision with an object in the roadway. We initially picked the vehicle up and after a few days noticed a few small issues. The shop reached out and we brought the vehicle back and they worked with insurance to make it right and handled all of our concerns. The car looks like new again! Thanks

I’m from out of town, the guys from the local fire department referred me to Ray Hyde. I knew from when I walked in the door my Highlander was in good hands, and that was further confirmed when I met who I’m assuming is Ray Hyde himself as he took the time to look at my vehicle with me and didn’t seem rushed, I felt he cared. They gave me a very reasonable cash price, a little cheaper than a previous estimate I had up in TN. It was ready a day earlier than they originally told me. I am very happy with the repair and much appreciated their kindness. They even gave me a ride to and from the rental car place, so undoubtedly five stars through and through from this customer.

The worst body shop in Alexandria La. and Rapides Parish. I had Ray Hyde do repairs on my 2009 GMC Sierra. They repaired the front right door which they left the lower door weather stripping off,the wire harness boot wasn't install correctly, left several scratches on the door near the window. over spray and buffing compound in door jamb and scuffed up my window new defector. No help from staff.

I have a new ‘22 F150 lariat on my way to work one morning I hit a big doe. After making a police report and talking to progressive insurance advisor they recommended Ray Hyde paint and body. Dropped my truck off on 05-22-23 was called two days later and was given an estimated completion date of 06-09-23 on 06-01-23 I was called and told my truck is ready. Aside from the missing license plate bracket looks brand new. When I picked the truck up I did asked about the license plate bracket and was told that because it was not on the truck when he received it, it was overlooked. He was very friendly and professional ordered a new one and will contact me when it arrives. Very satisfied and I will recommend them to anyone.
