I recently bought a motor listed as a 6.0 gen 4 (builder). I went back home, tore it apart a couple of days later, and found that the crank has 3 spun main bearings,one of the main caps the bearing had welded itself to, and 2 main journals were completely cracked. When I messaged the guy and said that the motor was damaged beyond repair. He basically told me he doesn’t warranty cores, which I didn’t buy the block as a core; I bought it as a buildable motor, to which I stated it was going to be a block I was using to build a stroker motor with. Since then, I’ve tried to reach out several times to the business owner to no avail. I strongly suggest getting someone to thoroughly go through the block and check it before purchase, or they’ll try to twist their words into saying it was a “core.” When he clearly put it was a buildable motor severe times and refuses to give me money back.
I call the shop and the owner answered the phone
And he was like. I don’t do that no more.
If you don’t call the company and let them know to take off their list so you won’t get any more recommendation. And you won’t be bothered with calls
I do not recommend this place, i went in for a parts car that i knew was there but they claimed they had no idea what i was talking about until i went back in the their yard and showed them myself. and they tried to upcharge me $20 for a tiny little plastic reservoir cap on a car they DIDNT EVEN KNOW WAS THERE. i was rushed bc they thought i didn’t know what i was talking about. very unprofessional place when i was just trying to give them some business
Don't waste anytime with this guy. He doesn't know anything, especially about Jeep Wranglers. And god forbid you try and tell him he is wrong. He acts like he invented the automobile. James is the rudest, and least knowledgeable business owner I have ever dealt with.
He towed and fixed issues with 2006 shuttle bus, very reasonable and very down to earth, if you have problems here you earned them . James is good at what he does. Highly recommended.
Was trying to get a part shipped out of state and he rudely yelled at me multiple times about how he doesn't have time for all that and that I'll have to set up my own shipping. Don't waste your time dealing with James. There are much better options out there.
James is friendly person. Easy to talk to as well. They fixed the dragging front bumper and corner panel. Then replaced my regulator for my window in an hour! Hids staff is hard working. James even cleared my front light covers! They were old with a thick white film. Now they are clear! Major improvement. Thanks guys!
Don't go if you don't want honesty...lol Mr. James is awesome! He cuts no corners, is extremely knowledgeable, and willing to help all that he can!!! This is a down to earth shop whether you're needed a quick patch up or an extensive overhaul.
