What a nightmare of a day. I was out doing Walmart spark deliveries and went to put my batched orders in the car I put one customer's order in the trunk and accidentally closed my keys up in the trunk by accident and never unlock the car doors so I was unable to put the other customer's. Call the police sheriff to no avail, could I get any help. Called a couple of tow companies,. too far out. Ended up calling American tow explained that I didn't have a lot of cash on me and they were like don't worry about that we're going to help you out we're on our way. In less than 30 minutes, They had to leave right away because they had another call but on top of it all they called to check on me to make sure I was able to get in my trunk from the backseat and return the deliveries back to Walmart. If you ever need your car towed or keys get locked in the car do not hesitate to call American towing they are the best. They are about helping people in need.
Sunday, I was on my way to work and a water hose burst on my Audi A7. I contacted all available towing companies in the Alexandria/Pineville area and every one of them had an excuse or their drivers were already busy. Called American Towing and they came right away. It was very hot but, the driver helped me to pour water in the car and helped me in everything that needed to be done to get me off the side of the road and safely with my vehicle. I will use the from now on.

Me and my friend got stuck in a ditch police arrived called tow for us cops nor tow person explained exactly what the procedure was going to be as we had no apple pay or cash (only two options) which is insane! Phone dead could not contact anyone. Tow person tried the only number I knew and left a message. Cops left and tow person left us in the middle of street in the dark as it was after 1am in the morning. Never felt so disappointed, abandoned and let down by people that are presumed to protect and help others. And tow person states I can't even get my truck out until Monday. So it's not about recommending this tow company in this review...it's about knowing what to expect if you don't have roadside assistance or any money on hand or cellphone. Keep a physical list of contacts in your dash if possible or add roadside to your insurance. So maybe just maybe you and your female friend won't be left out in the damn streets like a dog in a city you're not even from...SMH
They gave me a price when they got there they couldn't do the job what they offer went up on the price over 1000 because they only came with 50 feet of cable and the still charged me 250. Another towing company came out he had to show them how to pull me out. I really think they just wanted more money

Paid 95$ just to come unlock my doors after locking my keys in the car. They arrived in 20 minutes. I was satisfied. Door unlocked in under a minute. Just wasn't happy about the price. I've paid less for towing fees in the city.
After breaking down in Lena, and having no other option but a tow we weren’t sure who to call. Luckily the Sheriff stopped to get gas and recommended American Towing out of Alexandria. Although it took awhile for them to get to us, which in the moment is always frustrating Joseph explained that he had been flagged down by someone else that needed help he was trying his best to get to us. When he did arrive our car was on his truck and ready to go in 15 minutes. We told him of our intentions of just going to a truck stop and hoping to find help there. Luckily Joseph talked us out of getting dropped off in the middle of nowhere and offered to take us to Alexandria. He found us a safe spot with an auto shop and a hotel within walking distance of each other. Thanks to Joseph we were back on the road headed to Alaska just a few days later. Thank you Joseph! 3. Communication: The Asian lady—whose name I never learned—became the embodiment of my anguish. She hung up on me, her tone devoid of empathy. Rude, nonchalant, and dismissive, she shattered any hope of a compassionate resolution.
4. Emotional Toll: My car, a 2006 Acura TL, was more than metal and rubber—it was my lifeline. In my darkest moments, it provided solace. But American Towing seized it without remorse, leaving me adrift. Their actions amplified my grief, adding to the weight of my struggles.
5. Overall Experience: This ordeal ranks as the most horrible encounter I’ve ever faced. It transcends mere inconvenience; it pierces the soul. I implore American Towing to recognize the human beings behind the paperwork—to treat us with kindness, especially during our darkest hours.

They gave excellent service, even though it was pouring rain, getting my truck out of a ditch where it wound up after an accident. They were also courteous while talking to my husband and me while they were pulling the truck out of the ditch.
On my way home, I encountered engine troubles and pulled over on I-49. Called America Towing and was met with Mr. James Carter 15 minutes earlier than the ETA I was given. It was nerve wreaking just being on the interstate stranded, but Mr. Carter was very reassuring and professional. Thank you Mr. Carter and thanks to American Towing for all your help!!

I needed a few abandoned cars removed from a property. I called American Towing and Recovery. I talked with Anthony and he was very pleasant and professional. He understood my situation and said that he could provide the service I needed and could work around my schedule. I was met at the site early the next morning by Ronny with a rollback truck. It was clear to see that Ronny had a lot of experience at his job. He was very friendly and very efficient at loading the cars. Their towing fees are very reasonable. I would highly recommend them. Joseph was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. Got my SUV back home with no issues what so ever. He got there promptly and had the SUV loaded and gone within minutes. Drove very safely and courteously. I will keep this tow company for future events.
So I was stuck on on the hwy because my car was acting crazy didn’t want pick up speedi I definitely wasnt gonna keep driving. I called everybody but the tow company because I was worried they was going to take too long. Anerican Towing came before the estimated of arrival. Kyle was service and he was a very nice person. I even got to ride to my house and didn’t have to find a ride home. He was very friendly and I made him laugh too.
Put in an appointment for my truck to be picked up between 12-12:30 only to sit around all day and keep getting the run around. Called every hour and was told "20-30 minutes we'll head that way."
Finally at 5:30 that told me it probably wouldn't be that day and blamed the weather that had only just rolled in and that I kept reminding them about.
Unfortunately my truck had to be moved the next day but atleast twisted metal came out BEFORE their expected arrival time.
It's a good thing I wasn't stranded on the side of the road y'all would've let me burn in this Louisiana heat!
Car stopped running 2 miles from Lena on I49. Called American Towing in Alexandria and they responded quickly. The driver, James, got to my location in about 35 min. He has a great personality and us extremely competent. He treated me like a friend.

Had an emergency situation, and American Towing was the way to go. Lacey was the one that took the call, and was very professional and had a driver on the call in great timing. I would highly recommend this company, and will be using them for future services.
Driver was nice even though I called at 2am . There advertised to be 24/7 service . Buy he asked to call back after 9am . Truck came fine and was decent timing after he made pick up . Only real complaint was price .
Such a blessing on this holiday weekend! Our minivan overheated on our drive home over Thanksgiving weekend, and we found ourselves stranded on the side of the interstate. Laquanda, Jasen, Wesley, and Lonnie, from American Towing and Recovery, came out and collected the van and our entire family, bringing us in to town for the repair. Laquanda even brought out her own van to transport all of our family. The price was fair, the service was prompt, and even better, the employees were helpfully and friendly! I cannot express how grateful I am for the help they provided during our time of need!
My car broke down 18 miles south of Alexandria the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I called and a very nice lady answered, located me, and sent a driver to get us. I told her I was traveling with my family and she said not to worry, she would get us a ride. Concerned about us she came and picked us up herself. I was in a wreck that totaled my car. I’ve never needed a towing service in Alexandria so I didn’t have a preference on who the police called to tow the car. I've had to use them 3 times in the last 6 months. Same driver every time. He is a completely disrespectful, rude jerk. First time he towed, he broke my oil pan and scraped the whole underside of my car using a wheel lift which was completely unnecessary. Them he denied ever using the wheel lift, in spite of witnesses, and told my mechanics if I wanted to sue him bring it on. Well, they had to pay for the damages because my mechanic and insurance adjuster both verified that type of damage is cause by a wheel lift. Second time, he had an attitude about taking it back to my mechanic who is a good 2 hours away from me, but it is what they are paid to do. Third time, he complained again, got rude with me when I forgot my keys, and proceeded to cuss my 18 year old daughter when she met with him. When he arrived at my mechanic's, they got into another heated argument. If I have a choice in whom I use again, it wont be them. Nor will i recommend them to anyone.
James was a blessing to us on our trip. Honestly didn’t know hard working genuinely nice people like this still existed. It was a horrible situation and he came to our rescue with such a welcoming attitude he really made us forget about the hardship. -Karen
