Been doing business with them since 2009 and all I can say is that if you had a bad experience here , you should self reflect,
because your the problem,not them I haven't had one bad experience yet
Best place in Alexandria to take scrap, best prices of any place in many parishes as well. The only thing I don't like is they're no longer open weekends so I have to hire someone to take scrap during the week.
Over the past 20yrs Ive dealt with scrap yards from Alexandria, Houston, and Austin. Scrap that EVERY other yard classifies as #2 copper, this place classifies as “irony brass” (and then they throw it in the copper pile).
I was unloading shred and the guy from the iron pile with magnet and he Carry's a gun, he started yelling that we was taking to long with a unprofessional attitude!! He was very rude!! We unloaded our shred by hand and the man just sat there doing nothing. He was griping about the line of people but we was trying to get paid like everyone else! They deducted 40 lbs from our iron and they never weighed it! Every time I go there and that guy is around, he makes a point to screw us out of our money Everytime!! It's not right or fair and not very businesslike! I've been a regular customer for years but this needs to stop and employees need to get wrote up or fired for treating customers this way!!!!!??...
I called 3 times about bringing a Toyota forklift for scrap. I was told I needed to empty all fluid and that there would be a small fee for the tires still being on it. The lady on the phone told me it would be 100 bucks per ton for “equipment” I asked several times is that including forklifts and she said yes as long as the counter weight isn’t concrete(which it wasn’t.) I bring it in and they bought it as “breakage” which was only $30 a net ton. The lady in the office had no interest in explaining to me why I was told something totally different on the phone.
So far they aregreat.they unload your trailer quickly and they are very organized courteous and pay you without cheating people like other places.the only downside is I have to go to alex so if I don't have enuf gas I have to go to another recycling place in hickory Hill and that place cheats people.
They have a well run company they are efficient and very fair with the prices. Every one that waited on US was kind and very helpful and I saw know one lacking in there job. That's what it takes for a company too run as smooth as I witness . They think I think that needs attention to is the back drive. But IAM sure if they had time to grade the dirt driving area in the back they would. All equipment operators are very skilled at there jobs. Thanks for a special experience the first time I have been there it sure want be the last. And one more thing the scale operator was super.
The workers are fast, kind, and great at their job, but the lady at the scale can be very rude in the way she handles talking to people. Definitely not a person that should be one of the first faces seen.
