Everyone is AMAZING from the ladies in the office to the mechanics outside doing the work. My engine light came on and I didn't know what the issue was. They were able to get me in very quickly and diagnose the problem. Very reasonable pricing. I will recommend them to everyone I know.
I rarely give five star reviews for anything because I don't believe anyone is perfect but I do have to say Roy's Auto Tech was close to perfect. We brought our 2006 Mercury Mountaineer in thinking it had transmission problems. They told us it was just an ac/heating valve, and that it would be less than $400. They could have taken us to the cleaners by saying that it was transmission issues and that we needed. a new transmission, but they didn't. It's nice to see that the mechanic industry still has some honest mechanics.
This could've been a better review. Dropped my vehicle off for a shudder which resulted in a transmission service. I dropped my Jeep off with over a half tank of gas. I understand the need for lengthy test drives after a service but when I picked my vehicle up my gas light was on and my gas was so low it wasn't reading how many miles I had left. When I asked the man in the bay (where I had to pull my vehicle out of) I was greeted with an attitude and a not my problem, I didn't work on your vehicle kind of response.
After waiting a month to get in for the service and a week for the repairs, the least y'all could've done was drop $5 in gas the tank before I had to pick it up. I would've gladly paid for it too. Never have I a left a mechanic shop with over a half tank of gas to start and picked it up on fumes with the gas light on.
Had to wait a little bit for a part to come in not their fault. But once the part came in, everything was great, they did a great job getting the car back to me in a quick fashion. Thanks for them service
Very responsive, very quick service once we decided to move forward with the repairs. Georgie and Kat were very helpful throughout the process, even when having to deal with insurance adjusters. We are very happy with our choice to use Roy’s!
Very Disappointing Experience at Roy's Auto
I recently had a regrettable experience at Roy's Auto that I feel compelled to share. I initially brought my car in for a few repairs, but the outcome was far from satisfactory. The repair process took an unnecessarily long month, causing significant inconvenience in my daily life. The lack of communication about the delays only added to the frustration.
Upon picking up my vehicle, I noticed that the defroster, which had been in perfect working order, was suddenly malfunctioning. Additionally, the heater, which was working fine before, ceased to function after the repair. It's disheartening to encounter new issues.
To make matters worse, when I addressed these problems with Roy's Auto, I was informed that fixing the newly created issues would cost an additional $300. I find it unreasonable and frustrating that I should be burdened with the cost of repairing problems caused by their service.
Overall, my experience with Roy's Auto was disappointing, marked by post-repair issues, unexpected charges, and an extended repair time. I caution others to carefully consider their options before choosing Roy's Auto for car repairs.

$100 for diagnostic, took 3 days for the diagnostic.
$100 to put the battery in the engine, which i already purchased. so from the front passenger seat into the engine $100.
ran the diagnostic found the a problem allegedly fixed it. and said its something else $100 more dollars for a new diagnostic,
oh your paying with a card 3% card fee and also broke a part on purpose to increase the price.
dont go there!!!!!
Must be really good. They have a 3 to 4 week wait.
But they do provide professional recommendations..and they recommended a good mechanic spot..not just some ol run of the mill...

Lots of people complain about how long it takes for them to fix your car when you bring it to them but I don't complain about that. It takes as long as it's gonna take to fix whatever the issue is with the vehicle.
Roys is a very, very busy mechanic shop so they have a lot of jobs going on at once. But one thing I can tell you is their prices are about average not at all overpriced and they do really good work even though it takes a little longer than everyone else for you to get your car back. But it's worth it for good work.
On recommendation of my regular mechanic who did what he could do without a fancy diagnostic machine, I took it in to get a computer problem fixed. Car stalling. "fixed" the computer and screwed up my entire electrical system. took it back. sitting on side of the road. I was told, " but we have other cars to fix." REALLY? Took it home after two weeks. It was obvious they never were going to find the problem THEY CAUSED and fix it. They NEVER called me. I always had to call them. Now i have a poltergeist car. Dash lights come on at will. Check engine light stays on. Socks on the wipers cuz they go on at will. Locks go up and down. out 800.00. Gee thanks ! BUYER BEWARE!
My auto has been there for almost 3 months and every time I call to check on it something else is or goes wrong. O have to call no one calls me. And each time I have to pay for Diagnostic check. Paid for 2 so far .
My crazy journey started when my Shuttle Bus breaks down. Someone suggested I take it to Diesel Worxs in Kenner. That place had state of the art equipment and bragged they can fix any Diesel issues. For me time is money and I needed my Bus fixed pronto! I whole week goes by and I stopped every day to check on my bus that sat in the same spot for days. Finally they tell me I have a wiring problem and need to replace the whole wiring harness on the motor for a whopping $5,000! My friend Richie says go see Roy’s on 4th Street in marrero. I towed my bus there and it only took 1 freakin day to find a problem and fixed my bus for $590 dollars!! Tim was awesome!! The ladies in the office were awesome!! These guys saved my business and my life! Thank you so much!
