The amazing sales executive assigned to us, Allwell "Al" Opusunju, was always patient, kind, and thoughtful. There’s a reason our family has been doing business with Team Honda since 2005. Having bought now six vehicles from them, they never disappoint. Our newest addition was purchased yesterday, a 2026 Honda Civic Sport. Luke, our sales guy was absolutely phenomenal. Very personable person and he wasn’t being fake about himself or anything else. Always upfront with me and was able to get me a great deal on my vehicle. Tony in Finance was also great too. Having had problems with financing at other dealerships (*cough* *Ascension Honda* *cough*), Tony made the whole paperwork process seamless and was very helpful with all our questions we had.
Could not recommend these guys more. Fantastic group of people. And a big shout out to management over there because they definitely know how to run a dealership. Working with them has always been great. I’m sure we’ll buy from them again soon.
Salesman Anthony was super Awesome! Down to earth and very informative. The best personality for dealing with customers. Internet Sales Angie was very polite and informative thru texting on information, questions, and links to view vehicles before making the drive from New Iberia to Baton Rouge. She was so helpful being I didn’t know what make and model I was looking for. She lured me there and I’m so grateful and happy with my Certified Honda CR-V. Once I sat in the vehicle, I knew it was mine. Finance Manager Brian Thompson is also great and I’m so glad he knew his job and got me the best warranty!

I was nicely greeted by a woman named Carolyn who consistently called me to get me to come in, and I was hesitant at first because something was off in my spirit. But after coming from Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram in Gonzales and having a horrible experience I thought that this would be better. When I pulled up, of course I was greeted however I asked to speak to Carolyn who I had been in contact with for over two weeks at this point and a Hispanic guy tells me that I’ll be working with him and he went and got his manager to tell me that Carolyn was just an online rep that they used to get people to come in. I was a little thrown off by that because I’m like why wouldn’t she tell me that she would be my rep but let’s move on. I explained everything to Carolyn about my situation with my 2013 Honda Accord EXL. It’s a fully paid off vehicle. It’s just not registered in the state of Louisiana. The Hispanic guy, who they assigned to me, had no clue what was going on, barely understood anything I was saying and proceeded to come back and tell me “no no we cannot do anything for you. You already have an open car loan“ I said that shouldn’t stop me from getting an approval because my credit score is pretty good and he said as he shoved my papers back across his desk to me “ we cannot do anything for you, ma’am and you said on your finance application that you was going to only put $500 down but you told me that you got approved with $2000 down at CDJR!..that’s lie!” I was appalled!! I asked him “what the hell was his problem!?” and I said “you know what don’t even answer it..Im gone!” yes I could’ve given you guys $2000 but I’m not about to give anyone $2000 down plus a whole car my credit isn’t bad at all, and I got turned away because I already have an open car loan!?! you guys begged me to come in only to be treated with hostility and disrespected by this rep who I had not been talking to, and I expected to be represented by the person who I was in contact with for the past two weeks! That was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a car dealership in my life and I’m only given it two stars when it should be given zero because of Carolyn and how sweet and understanding she was towards me. But I attempted to text Carolyn about my experience afterwards and she has yet to reply so the business is cut. I’m not doing business with them anymore and I wouldn’t recommend anybody without over $2000 in your pocket and a credit score of at least 650 to go there, well not on the used side anyway!!

Incredible experience here and would HIGHLY recommend! They made this such a smooth buying process for us! We came from a little over 2 hours away to buy a car from Team Honda. We got quick responses before even making the trip, making us feel so much better about driving the distance. We got there later in the evening and everyone was ready to go when we got there. We worked with D.Woods, upon arriving he was so kind and understanding of our little kids, he even gave them coloring books and more to help during the buying process. We really appreciated that! He was also very helpful with any of the questions that we had. We also worked with Cathy in finance, who was also very helpful with helping us figure out the financing on our new car. Mr. Anthony deserves a 5 star after he helped me and my mom buy new cars. The process we went through was by far the easiest and most fastest transaction ever. We are both 100% satisfied with the honesty and effort he put into helping us, and making sure we both were happy with our decision. He took the time and effort and even came on his off day, the day we drove off the cars. If anyone deserves a good review of how hard they worked and how good of a worker they are, it is Mr. Anthony.
I had an excellent experience at Team Honda with my sales representative Tim & finance manager Jeff. I went in without high hopes of being able to purchase a vehicle but they were amazing & helped work everything out for me. They took the time to explain everything to me & also get me in the car I really wanted it. I love the car & will definitely go back to Team Honda in the future!
Sales: Derrick Woods was a pleasure to work with! My husband and I came in knowing what we wanted and how much we wanted to spend, and while we didn’t get quite as low as we wanted, Derrick did a great job meeting us in the middle. We also traded in my 2017 Jeep Patriot, and he was able to negotiate a good price for that as well. The only problem we initially had with the Honda HR-V we were looking at was the dirty seats, so Derrick added that he would get them detailed while we were filling out paperwork - that was definitely the selling point on the car itself! I’m also pregnant, and he made sure I never needed anything on that end.
Finance: Joe did an amazing job helping us out with all the financing paperwork. He was equally professional and personable, and we really enjoyed working with him as well. Whole the process wasn’t exactly fast (it never is), it never felt like a hassle because he chatted with us the whole time. I also had to get my daily debit card limit increased in order to put the down payment on the car, and he was so patient while I was on the phone with the bank to get that done.
Only downside: at one point, the manager (I guess) felt Derrick wasn’t negotiating as fast as he wanted with us, so he ended up coming in to take over. We definitely didn’t appreciate that, as Derrick was doing an amazing job. The manager on the other hand was clearly annoyed that we wanted the price of the new (to us) car lower, so he came in to show us all the money/work they put into the car and why the price was what it was. At the end of the day, we did our research, so we knew what a fair price was and what we were willing to pay.
Long story short, when the time comes for another new car, we will absolutely be back to work with Derrick and Joe!
Our Sales Team Member was kind, considerate and attentive to our needs. He found the balance between letting us share what we knew about the vehicle and showing us things which we weren’t aware. He really listened to what we wanted and did everything he could to discover what would work best. We highly recommend him to you when shopping for your next vehicle.
